    5 jerk wings $8.99
    Danica D.

Came into this location to get something to eat for lunch. I got two spicy beef patties and I got the five jerk wings for $8.99 can't go wrong with it. The food is so good. The service was great and the location is very clean and there's also space to eat. You can also order your food to go if you do not want to sit inside.

This food was exceptional! The oxtails were so tender and juicy. Also the macaroni and cheese did not disappoint. I will definitely be back.

The energy when walking inside Flavaz seemed very authentic & genuine. The music wasn't bad either. The 2 young ladies I encountered here are very kind and professional, the customer service was great. I went in to order a side of Mac n cheese and some plantains. They made the plantains fresh and they were still hot when I got home to eat them. They were very good and I would definitely recommend them. The macaroni was ok, my babies liked it and I ate it up as well. Would love to try more of their vegetarian menu sometime in the future. Their restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated showing an appreciation for their culture. Definitely check this place out if you have the chance. Also if you want chicken it's important that you show up early because they seem to sale out of chicken pretty quickly. Probably call in to make sure they have what you want, also it doesn't hurt to call your order in.

My chicken curry was delicious! Definitely authentic Jamaican cuisine. The wait took a bit long but it's worth it. I ordered to-go so I can't speak much on the ambiance but the interior was nice & clean. The mango tea was perfect. I hate really sweet drinks - but this had a perfect level of sweetness for me. My only complaint is only giving me 1 plantain ...that feels so evil. I love plantains so only one feels like a cruel joke. Other than that - amazing spot.

I love me some Jamaican food! This spot hit the spot when it came to the Jerk Chicken, rice l, and cabbage. I wasn't a fan with the sauce that comes onto the side as it is too sweet. The chicken is good and you get great quantity. My wife thought it was a little too spicy but I like that. The oxtail was very tender and I loved the gravy that mixed in with the rice. Flavaz fulfilled my Jamaican food craving satisfied.

The Yelp reviews led me here and they did not disappoint. I ordered the Ackee & Ting (they only have salt fish on Saturdays). It was really good and flavorful. I'll definitely come back here. My order was to-go however they have a lot of seating inside. It's spacious and clean. They also play nice island music. It's in a plaza so parking is no issue.

The lunch specials are the way to go in order to get a hot meal under $15. Each meal I've received has been hot, fresh, and flavorful. My favorite is the jerk chicken lunch special! Comes with white rice or rice with peas, cabbage, jerk chicken (leg/thigh cut up) 2 plantains and a drink and a side of sauce. The portions are good. Customer service is always nice. If you have any questions about the menu they're there to explain it. A lot of people that I've noticed come in and order To-go. There's plenty of dining space if you want to sit down be it at the bar or dining area.

Pineapple juice & Jamaican beer were both good!

This was our first time here. We loved everything we ordered. Their jerk chicken wings are DELICIOUS. I ordered the oxtail entree, which I absolutely loved. The small portion was even a lot of food, which I took half of it home. I love that they have generous portions! Hubby had jerk chicken, which was also very tasty. I loved their sides (rice & peas and steamed cabbage). All of the workers were very nice. I would definitely come back here! I'm so glad that this restaurant is close to my house. I don't know why it took me so long to check it out!

I've driven by for a while and finally stopped to get the curry goat with rice and peas. It was delicious, which was great bc I had enough to make 3 meals out of it! Service was quick.

Great service, great food. Jerk could be spicier but I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for jerk chicken or ox tail.

I hate I don't have better things to say about this spot that we were really excited to try. I will…read moresay that upon arrival, everything seemed to be going fine. The owner greeted us at the door, it was fairly empty so there was no wait and we were seated right away. The ambiance is nice. It does look like you've stepped into the VIP area of a restaurant, so it was cute -- not fancy, but cute. The owner then told us about the restaurant being inspired by his mother, they've been around for 10 years, explained the menu etc., it was nice. He also told us that he hadn't been to Jamaica since a kid and that raised an eyebrow -- but we let it go because he wasn't the cook. MIND YOU, I brought my cousin here (who is Jamaican) after seeing decent reviews about it. He brought over our first round of drinks and they were really good. We really enjoyed them. They weren't strong at all, tasted like juice. So I would recommend just getting juice instead of the +$5 to add rum. As we began to order and look at the menu, the prices were really HIGH, but I guess he was going for upscale cuisine -- so we said OK, let's see what this entails. We all ordered the Taste of the Island plater that gave an oxtail, curry goat and jerk chicken, rice and peas, plaintains and a tiny side salad. I wasn't mad at the portions given, but the flavor didn't hit the mark at all. NOW LETS GET INTO THE FOOD The Jerk Chicken was OVERLY spicy; we couldn't even enjoy the flavor. The oxtails were fatty, sweet and BLACK. Not enjoyable at all. The goat was OK, but not very flavorful in my opinion. The beef patties were good, but probably out of a box. The Roti was good and the oxtail dipping sauce was good. The Honey BBQ Wings were pretty good and cooked well. The Mac'n'Cheese -- DO NOT GET THIS. It literally has NO taste and reminded me of the cup mac'n'cheese that you put the powder cheese in. It took so long to bring it out, I guess he kept forgetting about it (they said everything is made to order) -- which, IDK how you make mac'n'cheese to order. Real cooks know, Mac n cheese is NOT a 5-minute made to order meal. He also didn't ask how we enjoyed the meal -- which I felt like he knew what we knew when he saw that not only did the other table leave a plate full of food (the meats) but our plates resembled the same -- he still collected his coin. There is a 20% gratuity that is added on at the end that is ridiculous considering the prices are already so expensive -- MIND YOU, it is not "Elevate Cuisine", its basic Jamaican dishes on Ikea plates. No special plating, no unique sauces or display, no chef's plating or anything. Just a plate of food. Everyone's bill came in over $100. The table nearby us order the same thing and inquired whether or not we liked our food, but we'd just gotten our food and hadn't tried it yet -- we did warn them about the chicken being spicy, but not everything else. They came after us and left before us and left everything on the plate except the rice and peas. I love black owned businesses and I wish this much more success, but I would NOT recommend it to anyone that is looking for authentic Jamaican food.

Fortunately, this time, we were able to catch them and it did not disappoint! I got the combo with oxtails and jerk chicken with rice and peas and cabbage. I also got a side of festival. There was about a 10 minute wait for food, but they have a covered patio area for you to rest and listen to some reggae music from the speaker. The area is decorated nicely with a few tables to eat and the owners greeted us with a smile. I originally wanted sweet plantain but they were out for the day #IYKYK lol but no big deal. You can taste the coconut milk in the rice and peas, and the cabbage is cooked still crisp with peppers onion and carrot. Very delicious. I got the last portion of festival for the day and it was so sweet, and chewy with a little crunch, perfect texture and flavor. Now onto the meat of it all. The oxtails were nice and tender and had a delicious rich gravy, and the jerk chicken has that perfect smoky jerk flavor, I didn't get to confirm but I wouldn't be surprised if they are cooking with pimento wood for authentic flavor. It's very good. Another member of our party got the jerk chicken pasta, the portion was very good, and they said it had a little kick but not too spicy. The portion size is awesome, I have been eating off this for 3 meals! Go and visit them! It's worth the drive. Can't wait to visit my friends again, I'll definitely be back.
