We decided to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner last night I was craving steak and ribs. The wait was about 30 minutes and the place was packed. As soon as we sat down our waitress came over and took our drink order. We got our drinks really quick along with an appetizer which we did the combo sampler. It had buffalo chicken wings boneless, rattlesnake bites and mozzarella sticks! Everything was so delicious. I ordered the sirloin steak medium rare with the ribs. Can I just say the steak was absolutely fantastic with no ounce of fat on it whatsoever. The ribs fell off the bone. I had the bake potato and the seasoned corn which was really good. 8/25/26 - today they got it right, everything went smoothly. What a "difference a day makes". Although it was busy for a Tuesday night, prior to the regular dinner hour it was organized and the whole place was filled with happy families and couples. Dinners were coming out of the kitchen at record speed and delivered to the tables. The 6 oz. Dallas filet was fork tender and cooked to perfection. It may sound odd, but I don't mind a lump or two of potato in the mashed. It lets me know they were not reconstituted flakes. Their margaritas should be slowly sipped. They always make it right by you. But damn why is it ao hard to cook a steak when you'rea steakhouse? Every single time one or bith our steaks end uo overcooked. Yes, they always change em, yes the second time they come out oerfcet, but why... we are almost expecting em to be overcooked now. I always enjoy myself when I visit Texas Roadhouse. Hubby and I, wanted to go for a little drive and ended up here . It was BUSY when we arrived, but the traffic moved quickly. Put ourselves on the waitlist for a busy weekend dinner and headed over to Texas Roadhouse. By the time we arrived and checked in we only waited 10-15 minutes, despite being told it was a 35 minute wait. We let the staff know that we are gluten free and requested peanuts in place of their bread. We we then chose our own steaks from the case. We both chose ribeyes, cooked medium rare. My husband ordered a margarita and I opted for a porch rocker. Our side salads came quickly. I modified mine to no croutons and no egg (I'm not a fan of hard boiled egg, this wasn't a restriction request). I love their salads and dressings and gobbled mine up pretty quickly. Our steaks arrived soon after and were cooked and seasoned perfectly. I can never finish my steak, so I took a little more than half home to eat for lunch or dinner the next day. Starting off greeter needs to a lesson in customer service. She wasn't friendly and inviting for a restaurant. It was almost as she didn't want to be here. After finally sitting down at table. I had a party of 8. The waiter took everyone drink order, I was the only one that ordered an alcoholic beverage. All drinks came to the table plus a water for me. My alcoholic beverage never came after sitting for about 35 mins to be exact. Another staff member showed up with some of the appetizers. I asked for him to cancel my drink due to the time it is taking wayyyyyyy too long to have a drink made. This man literally went made the drink and came back. I again stated I do not want it due to the service time for this drink which puzzled me because how has it been about 45 mins at this time and the drink is made in less than 2 mins. My uncle mentioned something to the staff member that went to make the drink and bring it. There was no empathy in his response nor any accommodation for this experience with the drink. Few minutes later the waiter came back and he going to apologize for the issue with the drink. Still no accommodation to make up for this error. Now the meal, once again I everyone food came and all I ordered was a Caesar Salad. No salad for me. Once the waiter realized my salad wasn't apart of the food. He comes back to the table about 4 minutes later stating he couldn't fit the salad on the plate. Being I frequent restaurant a lot, I could tell the salad was thrown together because they already messed up my drink and literally the meal I ordered was missed also. To make it worst there was 3 salads order and only 2 came to the today. So why wasn't my salad brought with other? Texas Roadhouse in Poughkeepsie NY will never see me again. This was my first and last time ever stepping foot in this restaurant. I have never had Texas Roadhouse before anywhere. This experience has literally put a bad taste in my mouth. Never again!!!! The reason for the 2 stars would only be for the waiter. He did try his best but just too many dropping the ball for me. I don't recall if the waiter said his name or not. Waited for two hours for a table of ten, was told three times that our table was being cleaned for us only to watch them seat a 25 top that came in about an hour AFTER us. When we asked what was going on the manager said "I don't know" and walked away. The only good thing about our two hour wait was the very delightful staff behind the bar. read more

Welcome to Texas Roadhouse for me, and it sure was a long wait. We thankfully came at a time when we didn't have to wait long at all, only a couple of minutes. It didn't look that busy at all since it was a Sunday an hour or so after 12, which kind of makes sense with church going on, etc. Once we seat, within a couple of minutes, we were handed bread which was pretty tasty, and addicting I'd have to say, and yes, we had another round. Our waitress did a wonderful job taking care of us, checking in, and answering any questions that we had. The menu is quite large, and a lot to offer which will defiantly require many trips in the near future. I opted for the Smokehouse Burger which comes with steak fries, making it quite tasty and very filling. The burger I ordered was cooked medium rare and was tasty for the most part but messy at the same time. Gotta love it because that's the fun of it. The deserts will be coming soon for sure when the time allows it, and it will. I enjoyed the scenery and atmosphere all around, with it looking tidy and well-decorated. They do a wonderful job keeping it clean and it's something to be proud of. Though I've eaten here a half dozen times, this is my first review following dinner there this past SAT evening. Texas Roadhouse has always consistently had great, friendly service & the food meets expectations for a "chain restaurant." I've eaten nearly everything on their menu - from BBQ chicken to steaks to pulled pork to wings to bloomin onions - all met expectations, but the negatives are that it's a little pricey compared to other smaller, mom & pop type BBQ joint and it's incredibly loud inside with blasting music & constant cheers/singing from the staff which make it difficult for a family to communicate with one another. Bottom line, this is a family-friendly, chain restaurant that delivers a solid meal for all. We will return again in the future. read more

Glad i give it a second chance here since the first, was a major let down. This time around got appetizer lighting quick, but let me say 7.99$ for one small shrimp skewer kind of sucked, don't get me wrong tasted amazing and little garlic bread ciabatta underneath was toasted well and really bathed in the garlic butter, but for the price two or three would been more acceptable. The buns with cinnamon butter is fire as always, pillow soft warm bread and the butter was so melt in your mouth. Also it's makes more sense to get the drinks before the app or bread, since the waiter did realize his mistake but it's like drinks are easiest to get out. My steak this time was cooked perfectly to medium to rare, very tender and juicy. For seasoned rice, this time I got well seasoned rice and it being piping hot, last time I got ice cold flavorless rice, as for corn that was piping hot this time too and bathed in butter so well. My server Ana said oh no, I thought you said shrimp. I corrected her saying no sorry I ordered ribs. She says no worries keep the shrimp even though I hate shrimp. I love going to Texas Roadhouse. I haven't dined in with restaurants much at all but I felt comfortable here. We were seated away from other guests and I did not feel over crowded, despite it being a Friday evening. There was a 5-15 minute wait and we waited about 10 minutes. It wasn't bad at all. As always, we have to order the tater skins and they never disappoint. You get such a nice portion with lots of cheese and bacon. My fiancé loves the yeast rolls and he always looks forward to them. Our meals were extremely filling. I feel like you always get a large portion for the price. I never feel like I'm being over charged. I had a margarita called the Jamaican Cowboy, I believe. I expected it to be watered down but it wasn't. It was really good and priced well. Our server was also a gem. She was attentive and very pleasant. Just Ordered a Cactus Bloom for pickup and was sorely disappointed after getting to my hotel and realizing how soggy in the center and undercooked the onions are. The tendrils didn't come off in pieces where the onion was in the piece. Nope what you grab is just batter. Onion cuts slips out of the batter and stayed connected to the center piece and you have globs of just undercooked batter in your hand. Onion pieces left on the plate are all undercooked as well. Will not be back to Texas Roadhouse again. This is not the first time this has happened. I've sent it back before for the undercooked reason, as undercooked flour and egg can make you sick. Had to wait over 20 mins for this in the carry out and didn't know until I got home which was 2 mins down the road at the Marriott residence inn that this item was undercooked and virtually inedible. Threw it out, money down the drain. Had to eat hot pocket at the hotel instead cuz I was so hungry and tired and wasn't going back out. Being a big chain, I'm actually always impressed by their fresh hot buns and that to-die-for cinnamon whipped butter! Anyone else? I love that they have an online waiting list or you can call them as well to have your name on the waitlist. It makes it so much convenient for both the customers and establishment. Super easy and I do it ahead while knowing I have a 30 mins drive with a 40 min wait time so it works out perfectly.
