Half rack of ribs and mashed potatoes
    Jonathan H.

This place had the best customer service. Everyone was so welcoming. The manager, Kurt, even brought us a free sampling tray of different sides to celebrate our first visit to a Texas Roadhouse! Our server was attentive and kind too. It was some of the best customer service we've ever had. We got half a rack of ribs and pulled pork dinner. Both were sooooo good. The pulled pork was so lean and tasted so good. The ribs fall right off the bone and were so tasty too. Mashed potatoes were very good, salad was really good, and apple sauce (not pictured because I ate it too fast and it was really good) and steak fries sides were great too. On our sampler plate, everything was very good but the sautéed mushrooms stood out as being super good. We got so much food haha! They also give you a free bag of peanuts to enjoy. We paid around $46 (including tax and tip!) total for our 2 dinners which included 2 sides each, and it was a great value. The peanuts and sampler plates were on the house! The decor is really cool on the inside, and feels like you're really out West. They also have a funny tradition where they have the restaurant all say "yee haw!!!" loud to celebrate someone's birthday. It's really fun and engaging and everyone is smiling and having a great time. We will definitely be back, and are looking forward to enjoying our leftovers tomorrow! We had heard great things about Texas Roadhouse, and it lived up to the hype for sure.

We were in Mt Dora on a Sunday night and decided to give this Texas Roadhouse location a try. As we drove by on the way to our hotel, we noticed the restaurant was crowded. Fortunately, they have the ability to get waitlisted ahead of arrival. I signed on and we were seated ahead of the estimated wait time. Nice process! Hot rolls and butter were dropped off as we were seated. Our waitperson stopped by soon after to take drink orders. She was so very nice and personable. We didn't feel rushed at any time. Most meals seem to come with 2 sides. I ordered the smothered chicken, a Caesar salad, and fries. My husband had fried chicken and cream gravy, plus mashed potatoes and green beans. The Caesar salad came ahead of the meal and was excellent, with plenty of parmesan dressing and crisp croutons. My chicken was ok, but the cream gravy was way too salty. I was not a big fan of the texture of the chicken. My husband enjoyed his meal. He mentioned enjoying the bacon in the green beans. The place is run very efficiently, with excellent service. Our biggest gripe was probably the noise level and, for me, the amount of salt in the food. Overall it was a good experience.

Went with a group of 6. The place was pretty busy for a Tuesday night. Our server was attentive and friendly. We all got the food as ordered and it was delicious. Perfect experience!

I've been twice now to Texas Roadhouse - both times joining the Waitlist first - and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food is delicious - my new favorite spot for steaks. The servers and staff are very friendly. I don't have to wait long for my meal and even the lemonade is excellent. I was never a big TRH fan before, but this new location in Mount Dora changed my mind. When I want to treat myself, I come here. Today I enjoyed my Filet Medallions - cooked to perfection - with seasoned rice, green beans, and applesauce. Conveniently, you can pay right at the table as well. Everything was great, and thank you to Maya for checking in on me now and again. Definitely recommend stopping by and seeing how great TRH is for yourself. Y'all come back now, ya hear!

Parking lot & restaurant full but wait time to be seated only 5 minutes or so. Hot rolls & a bag of peanuts provided when we were seated. Service by Matthew excellent. Food served very quickly. Salad, rolls, prime rib, mashed potatoes with gravy all fantastic.

The service and food was amazing! They are brand new and have been packed every single day since opening. Our server E was amazing! We can't wait to go back!

A quaint little town northwest of Orlando…read more There's shopping, some nice little restaurants, and a big ol' lake that you can rent a catboat on and drive it around. That's what we did that morning. Ambiance was great. It felt like each little dining area was a different room in a big, semi-haunted mansion. Eclectic books and paintings and mirrors and other baubles adorned much of the walls, making for plenty of looking around time during you meal. Very fun. Service was really good. The pacing of the meal was great, and our server was very friendly. We were always with drink, and she knew the menu backwards and forwards, even the special dishes of the night. As for the food, we went whole hog with two apps, two mains, and a dessert to share. Out of everything we ordered, only one of them remains on the current menu, which is a great sign. I love a rotating, seasonal menu. It shows effort, and it definitely encourages return patronage. We started with the Ciabatta Board (toasted ciabatta, house butter made with sun dried tomato, roasted red pepper, parmesan, garlic, chive). This was nice. It was very sun dried tomato, so if you don't like them, don't get this. But very soft, toasty bread made this very lovely. We also got an escargot app which was very creamy and soup-like. The snails were complimented well by the spinach. And the whole thing came with a nice little breadstick. I saved some of the bread from the board for some sopping. Pro move. For our mains, we got a miso butter New York strip and some sort of Asian themed duck. For both mains, the proteins were cooked very very well, and the portion sizes were a good size compared to what I was expecting. Both sets of taters were good. The mash was very smooth and creamy, the roasted baby potatoes were cooked all the way through and were nice and naturally buttery. Both were served with a seasonal veg mix that was pretty ok. It rounded out the plate, but it won't change your world or anything. We finished off with one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had. Incredibly smooth with the perfect cheesecake density, the perfect amount of chocolate chips inside, and a nice little crust that added that little bit of texture that is needed from the crust. Overall, quite a meal! To survive in a small town with these prices and those quality ingredientes and that unique of a menu design is very impressive. I will certainly be back.

Our server was really nice, made good recommendations, and the food was paced absolutely perfectly. The food itself was the best part. Crazy unique menu items that promised a lot and delivered a lot. Cons: Not a single con. A great little visit. Tips: The menu has completely changed since we went, which is good, so I can't recommend any specific dishes. But the ones I see on the menu now look absolutely banging.

Our table shared the Asian Seared Ahi Tuna - Sesame crusted grade A tuna seared rare, sliced over seaweed salad with wasabi, pickled ginger garlic teriyaki glaze & Chinese white sauce which was great. I had to try the Crispy BBQ Pork Belly - Slow roasted sweet & spicy pork belly glazed with house BBQ sauce over sautéed red onion with scallion & julienne pickled ginger, which was a little different than expected. It was more dry and less fatty for an appetizer like this and as unexpected as it was, I actually liked it that way. I also mananged a chicken dumpling soup that was on special. Wow! I could have made a meal out of this one. Heavy, almost like a chowder. I split the main with someone else at the table. We turned the special blackened mahi mahi and the 16oz Boneless Prime Ribeye - Tender, rich & juicy with an extremely smooth texture. Removed from the bone for easy carving, this robust flavored steak eats like butter, into a surf and turf for the both of us. The sides were shared as well. Steamed Broccoli Florets, Smashed Yukon Gold Potatoes, Sweet Potato Fries Drizzled with Honey, and Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts. All of which were amazing. It was a lot of food. Took about half home and I believe it was actually great value for the price. For a place in a strip mall that looks like nothing much from the outside, I really enjoyed the complete experience here. Sometimes places that are a little further out of the way end up with higher ratings based on their surroundings. Here, I believe that is not the case and this is a fair rating across the board.

Asked for a water immediately, and set my things down before going to the restroom... which was clean, easy to find, and well stocked, so zero issues there! Hehehe..... When I returned, I had a water and the bar menu as well as the lunch menu waiting for me. I ended up getting the Crooked Can/Frog and Monkey collaboration IPA, which was lovely. I ordered the turkey and brie sandwich, because reading it on the menu outside was what had originally drawn me into the restaurant, and a cup of the French Onion soup rather than getting the fries that came with. The soup was up first, and it was delightful- nice, hardy chunks of onion without being too big/sliding off my spoon, a well developed broth, and a fantastic amount of cheese. The sandwich was lovely, great slices of turkey and decently sized pieces of brie and apple to go along with it. Unfortunately, when I went to get the second half of my sandwich, I noticed what looked like a dark beard hair on it.... as I was dining alone, and my long hair was tied up, definitely not mine. I called over my server, and I pointed it out to her... she asked if I wanted to have a new sammie or get it taken off the bill. I asked if I could pay for the soup, since I had finished it, but not the sammie and she absolutely agreed to that. I wrapped up my meal and left to keep going on my day. Everywhere has issues occasionally, but this was handled well, so I will mention it, and I do knock off a star for this visit, but I am still willing to try again if I am in the area.
