It has been so many years since I've been to this establishment and I was so excited to go. We had about a 5 min wait but no biggie. It was lunch rush. Our server was phenomenal & checked on us often and kept our drinks filled. The rolls are still as yummy as I remember them. For starters we got the potato skins. I was disappointed in these. It was only bacon and cheese with a side of sour cream. For lunch, I ordered a burger. It was cooked to my specifications. It wasn't the best burger I've ever had but it was good. It's quite loud in here and I've heard the ambience kinda changes into a nightclub on the weekends. Maybe I'll come back and check that out. Oh. And no more peanuts on the floor. I am not a fan of national chain restaurants, but I give Texas Roadhouse an exception, as their food is so good! This one opened recently and I have been wanting to try it, but it is difficult with so many other "local" places that I prefer to give my business to. I found myself hungery and near, so I popped in and had a seat at the bar. The place was jammed as it always is at any Texas Roadhouse I have been to, this one was new and shiny, I loved the way the bar was in the middle and the wood everywhere. The bartenders were both happy and smiling, I ordered a salad and a NY Strip steak, my salad appeared quickly, followed by my steak, and my steak was incredible! Thick and juicy and cooked to perfection. I enjoyed my meal at the bar, watch sports on the plethora of televisions and then got my bill, paid and left, a very satisfied customer. This place had the best customer service. Everyone was so welcoming. The manager, Kurt, even brought us a free sampling tray of different sides to celebrate our first visit to a Texas Roadhouse! Our server was attentive and kind too. It was some of the best customer service we've ever had. We got half a rack of ribs and pulled pork dinner. Both were sooooo good. The pulled pork was so lean and tasted so good. The ribs fall right off the bone and were so tasty too. Mashed potatoes were very good, salad was really good, and apple sauce (not pictured because I ate it too fast and it was really good) and steak fries sides were great too. On our sampler plate, everything was very good but the sautéed mushrooms stood out as being super good. We got so much food haha! They also give you a free bag of peanuts to enjoy. We paid around $46 (including tax and tip!) total for our 2 dinners which included 2 sides each, and it was a great value. The peanuts and sampler plates were on the house! The decor is really cool on the inside, and feels like you're really out West. They also have a funny tradition where they have the restaurant all say "yee haw!!!" loud to celebrate someone's birthday. It's really fun and engaging and everyone is smiling and having a great time. We will definitely be back, and are looking forward to enjoying our leftovers tomorrow! We were in Mt Dora on a Sunday night and decided to give this Texas Roadhouse location a try. As we drove by on the way to our hotel, we noticed the restaurant was crowded. Fortunately, they have the ability to get waitlisted ahead of arrival. I signed on and we were seated ahead of the estimated wait time. Nice process! Hot rolls and butter were dropped off as we were seated. Our waitperson stopped by soon after to take drink orders. She was so very nice and personable. We didn't feel rushed at any time. Most meals seem to come with 2 sides. I ordered the smothered chicken, a Caesar salad, and fries. My husband had fried chicken and cream gravy, plus mashed potatoes and green beans. The Caesar salad came ahead of the meal and was excellent, with plenty of parmesan dressing and crisp croutons. My chicken was ok, but the cream gravy was way too salty. I was not a big fan of the texture of the chicken. My husband enjoyed his meal. He mentioned enjoying the bacon in the green beans. The place is run very efficiently, with excellent service. Our biggest gripe was probably the noise level and, for me, the amount of salt in the food. Overall it was a good experience. read more

I've been twice now to Texas Roadhouse - both times joining the Waitlist first - and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food is delicious - my new favorite spot for steaks. The servers and staff are very friendly. I don't have to wait long for my meal and even the lemonade is excellent. I was never a big TRH fan before, but this new location in Mount Dora changed my mind. When I want to treat myself, I come here. Today I enjoyed my Filet Medallions - cooked to perfection - with seasoned rice, green beans, and applesauce. Conveniently, you can pay right at the table as well. Great ambiance, great prices, great flavor! It's a casual steak house vibe, with lots of TVs, a bar and also very kid friendly (kids night on Tuesdays 6-8 with little freebies). Well, 12:30pm on a Sunday after church lets out - yikes! Every single table in that restaurant was full. It was madness, but we are delighted to report, literally no wait time to be seated. Our luncheon was perfect. Our server "Alisha" was spot on: personable, pleasant and very accommodating. We will definitely request her the next time we go. Our visit to Texas Roadhouse in Mount Dora was extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable. The only positive part of the evening was unexpectedly running into a close friend from high school whom I had not seen in over 30 years. My husband and I were enjoying a drink at the bar while waiting for our table when we saw her. While we were catching up, our table became available. At that point, manager Louis Montes repeatedly approached my husband and stated that if we did not immediately sit down, we would be placed back on the waitlist. He even requested that the bartender close out our tab so we could move to the table. My husband went ahead and sat down while I finished my conversation. The waitress came by multiple times before I returned. I then brought my untouched glass of wine to the table and joined him. We placed our order, and when our food arrived, I ordered another glass of wine. The waitress returned and informed us that we would not be served any additional alcohol. When we asked for clarification, she was unable to provide a reason and called a manager. Louis Montes then told us that the hostess had reported that we had "stumbled" into the restaurant, and based on that claim, they would not serve us further. This accusation was completely false. At that point, my husband had consumed only half a beer, and I had only one glass of wine. We asked to speak with another manager, and Dylan Nieves came out and repeated the same statement. We were shocked and embarrassed. To be falsely accused in a public setting was not only humiliating but completely unwarranted. As long-time Lake County residents, we have never experienced treatment like this anywhere. It was clear to us that the focus was on turning tables as quickly as possible, rather than treating customers with fairness and respect. We will not be returning and will continue to support local establishments that value their customers and community. read more

Visited just a few days after opening. No excuse for the poor quality of the food, particularly the steaks. Ordered what is supposed to be their signature cut, filet mignon, medium rare. Temperature was on target, but the quality was awful. The meat was mealy and flavorless. The service was great, but the place is far too loud to enjoy a meal. Poor excuse for a steak house. My wife and I had lunch at this Texas Roadhouse and we will not be back. My wife ordered a sirloin steak medium and it was served bloody rare. We had to send it back so it would be properly cooked and waited until so long that I was done with my meal. The "manager" brought back the re-heated steak not less than 15 minutes and throws it on the table with no apology or anything. He stands there and waits for my wife to cut back into the steak and apparently did not notice my plate was empty as I was done with my lunch. So much for taking my wife out to lunch The manager obviously was inexperienced and not up for the job at hand. I would advise going to Longhorns up the road verses this particular Texas Roadhouse location which also is very noisy and lacks any ambience or customer service. read more

I had not been to a Texas roadhouse for many years. The rolls and steak were just how I remember it. The line dancing throughout the meal was super annoying. It's obvious the staff does not enjoy it either. When you make your employees wear a shirt that says "I love my job". That's telling you something. read more

Lines can be very long here because the place is new to Mt Dora but overall I think it's worth it. The new York strip steak is better than longhorn steakhouse. First time at this location and the first time at Texas Roadhouse since moving to Florida in 2018. Not as we remembered! Drinks (wine I have had before and beer from Texas on tap for my husband) well overpriced. Beer had no flavor and 1 glass of wine was the price of a bottle. Side salad came with limited salad dressing; Caesar salad was nicely dressed. Both sides (seasoned rice and steak fries) were very disappointing. Entrees were good but not exceptional. Service was fine. Noise level was very loud at times. We were seated at a very small table which would have only been okay for 1 person. As it is, we put the rolls, peanuts and menus on the bench to clear room on the table for food when it arrived. The restaurant was not crowded and we had used the website to pre-notify we were coming, so the poor table assignment was unacceptable. We will stick to our other favorites in the area for a much better meal and dining experience for the price. read more
