We had a group of seven come here I told everybody the food was good oh my gosh so embarrassing. All the food was horrible My friend ordered a shock top beer and they served it to him in a mug and the beer was gray and cloudy and flat disgusting. All the meals were just subpar slopped on the plate My one friend couldn't even eat her meal so we had to send it back and she left hungry. This place used to be so good I don't know what happened but they will never get another dollar out of me!!! They only had two servers for our whole area so they were running around like crazy trying to help everyone out. We were the first ones in the room and the last ones to be served she must have forgot to put our order in. Such a beautiful restaurant on on a perfect spot in Mount Dora but the food and service was not good.

All Of our food was amazing. Everyone that got the blackened swordfish was very happy and satisfied. My husband said it was the best of our trip. I enjoyed my meatloaf and sides- sweet potato was ok- I'd get mash next time. Love all the planes and trickers on the wall. Nice cozy booth with good ac for this hot day. Friendly service- even was nice to let us sample the beer before our order. I would go back.

Our waitress Josie was on top of it! I haven't seen someone own a bartop like that since my 20s. She was the perfect balance of knowing her regulars and anticipating their needs while giving enough attention to newbies, like me, who had extra questions about the drink and food menu. The drinks were strong and topped off without having to wait. Our food came out fairly quickly and hot. We started with the crab dip, it was mostly cream cheese. I probably wouldn't order again because of that. We ordered the seafood platter and prime rib. Both came with huge portions! The scallops with the seafood platter was over fried/burnt but besides that everything tasted great. I only saw the seating area in the outside bar and one of the women's restrooms but from what I could tell everything was clean and stocked well. I have driven by on a Friday and Saturday and the place is packed! Looks like a fun time for the younger crowd and locals. Definitely will come back because of Josie and will try more food.

Well, I don't know what happened to Jeremiah's since our last visit but the food has gone down hill drastically. We had a group meeting up for a concert over at the Mount Dora Music Hall and decided to dine-in at Jeremiah's before the show. It was on Mother's Day and we arrived around 4: 00 pm. I honestly thought that there is no way we were going to get a table here because (1) it was a holiday, and (2) they are usually very busy. We were greeted right away and seated in about 15 minutes later. The waitresses were great and accommodated our group of seven rather quickly. Unfortunately there seemed to be only three waitresses working on this day so it was rather hectic for them. My wife and I arrived before the rest of our party and we also placed or order early so we could scoot out in time to see the first band. We explained our situation with our server, Danielle, and she did her best to accommodate us. They were offering a buy one get one draft beer special and I went with a cream ale which was cold and delicious. Shortly after, the rest of our party arrived and placed their orders. One of my friends also ordered the buy one get one draft special, he decided on the Shock Top. When the beer arrived it was cloudy and bitter tasting he said it was so bad he couldn't even drink it several other friends at our table tried it and also said it was terrible. Not sure what happened with the beer but he sent it back. There were two other smaller parties that showed up 5-10 after my wife and I placed our order and they all got their food before us. It took nearly an hour for my and Nancy's dishes to arrive. This doesn't even make sense because I ordered Chicken and Dumplings ($14) which I assume is prepared in advance and Nancy ordered a Walnut Chicken Salad Plate ($15) which also should be a quick plate to prepare. Nancy wasn't too pleased with her dish and she says the chicken salad didn't have much flavor. My dish on the other hand was a little bit smaller than expected, the chicken and dumplings was overly salty but the biscuit and side of broccoli were good. Everyone else in our party also had issues with their meals. One was an overcooked burger, another was soggy quesadillas, the French Dip meat was so badly processed our friend sent the meal back and had it taken off her bill, ended up going to the show hungry. This was a terribly embarrassing experience for my wife and I as we were the ones who recommend dining here. What's more terrible is that this was on Mother's Day and the group I was with was made up mostly of women, so I'll probably hear about this the rest of my life. I do have to give props to the waitresses working here. They we're stellar and we're running around like mad trying to take care of other customers while dealing with our issues. I believe one of the waitresses was also the bartender and there was only three working on Mother's Day that's pretty poor planning on management's part. I don't know what happened in the kitchen on this day but experiencing this many issues with food at one table is unforgivable and because of this we most likely will not be back.

Hooray! A place in this tourist Mecca that doesn't try to take every one of my dollars. We ate dinner here just prior to seeing a show at the Ice House theater. What a treat. The kitschy items hanging from the ceiling made for a fun trip. Our server was friendly and fun. A return trip is planned.

I sat at the bar on a Tuesday around 4:30. Nice bartender- definitely a local crowd, and definitely on Tuesdays at Happy Hour. I felt like I was taking up their reserved space. Not a good feeling so I moved outside after I ate. I ordered the special $2 tacos. They were good as ground beef tacos can be!

We came from Mt Dora from Daytona to pick up something we needed. It was dinner time so we decided to have some dinner. Larry has some walking difficulties after breaking his hip in April so we didn't want to navigate the hills. We drove by Jeremiah's on the top of the hill with easy parking. In spite of the mixed reviews we still opted to go in. The restaurant is a little dark and not modern but we are okay with that. We were immediately given a friendly welcome and seated in the side dining room. Our waitress, Barbie was quick to bring menus and get our drink orders. She always told us about the evening specials. Larry ordered the cottage pie, one of his very favorite dishes. I ordered beef tips with a creamy mushroom gravy served over rice. It came with a fresh house salad with honey mustard which was my choice of dressing, and a slice of toasted garlic bread. Larry's cottage pie was served in a gid casserole dish covered in cheese. He loved it, one of the better ones he had. He only ate about half and brought the rest home for another meal. My beef tips was a big potion on a plate with high sides. The gravy and rice was delicious. There were plenty of beef tips but they weren't as tender as I prefer. I could only eat about half of my dinner and also brought the rest of for another dinner. I plan on cutting the meat into smaller pieces that should make them easier to eat. We then ordered a slice of carrot go to go. We had it for a late night snack...so good! Moist and flavorful. We will definitely go back. Thanks to Barbie for making our dinner enjoyable..great service and good recommendations.

Rating: 5/5 Review Body: We stumbled upon Fifth Avenue Streatery in Mount Dora today while in town for business - got hungry and looked up something local and simple, and boy, are we glad we did! This place is so unique; it looks like it used to be a gas station transformed into a cozy outdoor eatery with all seating under cover, string lights, fans, and heaters for comfort. It's got that authentic, laid-back Florida vibe with wooden decks, umbrellas, and views of the street - super charming and not stuffy at all. The menu is a great mix of unique twists and classic favorites, with plenty of options so everyone can find something. We went with build-your-own burgers and their signature Fifth Avenue burger - absolutely delicious, juicy, and flavorful! It's now my top burger pick (besides the ones my husband grills at home, of course). Everything's made from scratch, and big compliments to the chef/owner - a talented woman running the show, girl power all the way! We were there with our 7-year-old daughter, who's been to all sorts of fancy places, and she absolutely loved it - from the fun outdoor setup to her kid-sized burger. The hostesses, Hailey and Beth, were the sweetest, so friendly and welcoming, making us all feel right at home like family. Don't skip the desserts - we tried the flourless chocolate torte with fresh cream and raspberry sauce, and it was heavenly, rich but not too heavy. Overall, fresh food, great service, and a spot that's perfect for families. We'll be back next time we're in Mount Dora!

The drinks were priced great and the soup and burgers were so good! But I went 01/10/2026 at 230pm (busy rush for a pub on a Saturday) and I ordered a burger and soup because they have a soup of the day each day, who doesn't love that. Well my soup came out quick and I was pleased with that, it was chicken orzo soup, so good! Well I start getting to the soup and thought oh wow they put cheese in here, didn't tell me it would have cheese and I'm rubbing it around in my mouth cause I like to taste my food you know? Well it wasn't cheese...... IT WAS SOMEONES CHEWED MINTY GUM IN MY MOUTH STUCK IN MY TEETH I got sick (in a napkin of course) and informed my server, ran to the bathroom some more getting sick and when I came back my server informed me I wouldn't pay for anything, I made a comment that maybe the dishwasher didn't do a good job but the server told me he wish that was the case that it was intended for an employee on break and he thought it was mine in the window and it wasn't, he apologized, well I took a couple shots of whiskey to kill the bacteria hopefully. I asked for a manger to come talk to me because I work in the food industry and I don't feel it was handled correctly, he informed me the manger was not there he had to text her to get the approval for the bill. So I was definitely taken back. I have never had anything like this happen to me and the two girls I was with also tasted the soup because I said it didn't taste right and they was literally given a bill for their 15$ burgers and I got a 10% card to hopefully come back. I have called twice to talk to a manger and have not gotten through to anyone, I've seen messages online to suspected owners and still nothing back, I was told the guy with the gauges in the kitchen is the one that did it, I woken up with a sore throat today and will be going to get tested and they will be informed of my medical bills by a lawyer. PS my friend ordered a burger Togo a few hours later for her aunt I went in to get the burger and pay with my 10% card and the short haired short server with glasses was seen laughing at the computer about the situation, I just don't think it was funny at all.
