I went to The Yardery with friends after attending an event in Mount Dora. We wanted to grab a quick bite in a casual setting. This was a really cool place/concept. It is a two story building with outdoor seating only. On the first floor you have a yard with ganes for all ages, a fire-pit and live music. We went to the second floor to a sat there. Our server was friendly and super chill. He kept checking on us so that was appreciated. The food and portions were good. The only item wasn't a huge fan were the wings. They were dry-rub versus a sauce. They use a lot of disposable items, like plastic cups and silverware. I wish they had reusable (and stronger) silverware. Overall, it was a fun time. I liked the vibe and how family-friendly it feels ( even pet-friendly).

We came here over the weekend for lunch and had a great experience! There were two floors to pick from, and both covered and uncovered seating areas. Upon arriving you are able to pick your seat! The service was quick and prompt! The food did come out quick, but not all at the same time. Not a huge deal but it was a few minutes between each entree being delivered. The food was really tasty and you can tell was made fresh! Everything we ordered came out perfect! One downside was the cutlery, they only offered individually wrapped plastic forks and knives, which not a deal breaker, but even the hot honey chicken was giving that fork a good workout! If we are ever in the area again we would definitely come back! We enjoyed our time at The Yardery!

Stopped in for lunch on Friday afternoon. Service was good. Food was also good. We had the chicken wings, fish tacos, fries, and a side of Mexican corn. Everything was fresh and good. The only negative I would say was the seating area. While the restaurant sits very close to the lake, the downstairs seating was very basic with no view, no ambience.

Fun spot located downtown. The Yardery gives the vibes you are heading to your friend's bbq. You will find backyard games and a full bar. Pet friendly and a rooftop bar. The pulled pork and the smash burger are the best I town. Service is fast and friendly. A must stop!

Upstairs, outside, nice breeze, cold IPA, World Cup!! Flatbread was great, servers/bartenders were great. Great place for the kids to play yard games. Mine are grown .

This is our new favorite casual dining place, where we can also bring our puppy! Their food is unexpectedly awesome with homemade flatbreads and their entire staff is exceptional. Every time we return, we feel like a part of their family. We highly recommend!

Stopped in for a burger during the blueberry festival so I could get both a seat and some shade instead of grabbing something off the street. Service took a few (very reasonable!) minutes to get going being that it was a busy day and time. This looks like a great place to kick back with friends, with the outdoor spaces and games. Not sure if the DJ was a special event or a weekend staple, but the overall vibe was fun for all ages. I had the burger and added the sweet potato fries, and I'll start with the drawbacks first. The burger cost $18 (I don't think they seem to have an option other than the signature one that comes with cheese, bacon and special sauce. I added what I thought are basic af toppings, lettuce and tomato, and removed a premium one, bacon. Had a 25 cent each upcharge for the lettuce and tomato without the "hey, there's an extra charge " heads up while ordering. The sweet potato fries looked amazing, cooked to a great color, visible salt flakes, but not even the lil skinny ones had a shred of crisp to them. The burger itself...while I could be picky and long for a smidge more seasoning or salt...actually made up for the fries shortcoming. Double stacked beef, juicy, with an impressive sear on the meat. Overall pleased with the experience. I'd go back, but probably would see if the regular fries fare any better.

This is a great family space with outdoor games and a pretty neat view. It has a sports bar restaurant atmosphere and the food items to match. We went with the family and tried their salads and burgers accompanied by onion rings and the usual suspects. The vegetarian tacos are also good. The service is casual and limited. They have parking space along the street and it's busy during art festivals so be patient.

The Yardery is a great addition to the Mt Dora food and drink scene. My wife and I went after the Mt Dora plant festival and had a great time. The outdoor second floor was awesome with the beautiful weather, service was fast and friendly, and the food was very tasty. We went with the nachos and added short rib, and definitely would recommend them. Great size to share as well! We plan to be back soon and I highly recommend you take a day and check them out!

Restaurant has a second floor deck with bar for a great dining experience. We had a two person team today that did a great job serving. One question to owner... did you recently change your fries? A young lady (regular) in our party indicated that in the past they were quite a bit more favorable. My first visit....will not be my last!

Let's get the good out of the way. The atmosphere is excellent. It is covered outdoor seating (think giant porch) in downtown Mount Dora. It is just up the hill from the lake so you get a nice breeze. They have corn hole and a ping pong table. It is very cute. The servers were very nice although clearly overwhelmed. I do believe this will solve itself once they have been open for a bit and get into the groove. The food was mediocre and took a very long time to get. I am sure once they have been open for a bit the timing will get worked out. What really drove down the rating was the amount of feathers that were still attached to the wings. I am well aware of where they come from but I would like all the plucking to be done before I get the wings. We removed at least 5 separate feathers. It will be a while before I go back.

Beautiful Sunday in Mount Dora so stopped by here for the 3rd time. First two times were solid, had a 10-14-19yr old in tow, let's do it. Chicken nachos are terrible. The chicken could possibly be Tyson pre cooked and cut from Publix. Very bland. Cheese is white runny queso. 1.7/10 Ordered a cheese pizza. Sauce, cheese. It's not on menu but server said we can ring in the Marg pizza and make that work. Came out wrong. Right one was 5.8 Hot honey chicken- solid as always. Probably top 4 chicken Sammy in Central Florida. Sweet potato fries good. 9.1 Hot pep/sausage flatbread- little undercooked by 6.3 This is a blah experience at the moment which is fine. Can't be great every day...but then the server walks by with 4 plates of other people's eaten food and drops them next to us. Sauce flies all over my son's legs, shorts, and shirt. Server apologized, helped with clean up. Mess up order, spill other people's sauces all over a patron and no manager? Full price bill. Also didn't ask me if I had a number for rewards I signed up for. I had this marked as my family spot when in MD but unlikely to come back.

The Southern burger was great, but I tossed off the raw onions as I absolutely hate them, and added the lovely pickled onions from my wife's salad, which gave the perfect amount of flavor and color. Don't you agree? Give me a LIKE if you do !!! The crepe was next level. Delicate crepe, very soft ripe bananas, sauce was not disgustingly sugary, and the vanilla ice cream was smooth and soft, not icy and sweet. Dunno what brand they use, or if they churn the cream fresh in-house, but it made my day.

There are lots of delightful restaurants there (according to yelpers) but many were located downtown and parking was hard to find so we decided to go to Fifth Avenue Streatery since we had driven by and there was lots of parking. All of which the tables are outside on a charming patio with lots of interesting decor. It was 11:30 so the day was pleasant and sitting outside was fine. Not sure how I would feel about that in August. Our waitress was Haley (guessing at the spelling) and she was bubbly and very attentive. The menu wasn't overwhelming and I always think that's a good sign that most of the food is being prepared fresh and not pulled from a freezer. My mom ordered the fish sandwich with tomato and cucumber salad. After ordering the Italian Haley said they were out of beef until the owner arrived so I went for the day's special which was a seafood basket: two pieces of fried fish, four huge shrimp and clam strips. Clam strips are not my favorite but these were very crisp and tasty. It was served with fries and cold slaw. We both agreed the food was very good. I asked for some cocktail sauce and after a few minutes she came back with saying she had to make some. It was fantastic, very horseradish forward which I loved. I am glad we couldn't locate our first two choices since we got to eat at this funky little place and have the best server in all of Mt. Dora.

Wow! What an amazing meal!!…read more I arrived on a Sunday afternoon at 12:30pm, and unbeknownst to me, had just beaten the rush hour crowd that was lined up out the door when I left at 1:30pm! This place is a cool, converted house. I was led through the downstairs dining area, up the stairs to the second floor, through the second floor dining area, and into an adjoining room - the "Bar". This was one cool room. It consisted of several comfortable sofas on one side of the room, a few high top tables alongside a bookcase wall, and the attractive dark wood bar that could accommodate about 8 people. I was led to a high top table next to a wall of bookcases with all types of interesting literature, from novels to Encyclopedia Britannica. Almost immediately after sitting down, I was greeted by my server "Bre". She gave me a menu and took my drink order - coffee ($3), black, and a glass of water, TYVM. She returned within a few minutes with my coffee and water. The coffee was very good. For an appetizer, I decided to try their Irish Whiskey Onion Soup ($8), and for my main course, I went with their Cashew Chicken Montagu Sandwich ($15). My soup arrived and the "eye appeal" was only surpassed by the amazing taste! Caramelized onions, Irish Whiskey broth, and with Swiss and mozzarella cheese, this was absolutely, no doubt in my mind, The Best Onion Soup I've ever had!! I was just hoping no one was watching me eating it as it was a bit challenging with the long onions, but truthfully I didn't care because it was so good! My Cashew Chicken Sandwich arrived next, and with a dreadful feeling of an impending "let down" after such an amazing appetizer, I was just blown away after taking a bite of this masterpiece! Perfectly cooked, moist chicken breast with a cashew crust, brie mornay, cranberry-apple relish, on a brioche bun! Did you all see the photo I posted? Just Amazing!! So, after two home runs in a row, I'm thinking to myself, Who can come up with such amazing combinations? I mean seriously, What type of Mad and Brilliant Chef do they have working in the back kitchen?! Ha! (I'm sure the Chef isn't "Mad") I've hardly mentioned the Service, but Bre constantly checked on me, refilling my water twice, and my coffee three times, all the while asking me how I was enjoying my meal. The service couldn't have been any better. My only regret is that I had absolutely no room for dessert and I know it must be excellent Take this to the bank, For one of the best meals you can experience, come to The Goblin Market Restaurant! I ordered the turkey and brie sandwich, because reading it on the menu outside was what had originally drawn me into the restaurant, and a cup of the French Onion soup rather than getting the fries that came with. The soup was up first, and it was delightful- nice, hardy chunks of onion without being too big/sliding off my spoon, a well developed broth, and a fantastic amount of cheese. The sandwich was lovely, great slices of turkey and decently sized pieces of brie and apple to go along with it. Unfortunately, when I went to get the second half of my sandwich, I noticed what looked like a dark beard hair on it.... as I was dining alone, and my long hair was tied up, definitely not mine. I called over my server, and I pointed it out to her... she asked if I wanted to have a new sammie or get it taken off the bill. I asked if I could pay for the soup, since I had finished it, but not the sammie and she absolutely agreed to that. I wrapped up my meal and left to keep going on my day. If you don't know what SOS stands for, look it up... it's a great breakfast item. The SOS is not the same as the biscuits and sausage gravy because that is sausage gravy, the SOS has chipped beef in gravy and usually will come on toast, but I prefer it with the biscuits.
