We have never had a bad meal here. Saturday night was no exception. It was very busy and we were told it would be a 30 to 40 minute wait. About 15 minutes later we were seated. Our server, I think his name was Braelin, was excellent! If we needed anything, he was on top of it. The drinks and bread came out right away. As a frequent visitor of different Longhorn restaurants, this location was significantly slower at food delivery. This was a weekday late lunch, so they weren't overly busy. I had a fabulous meal and service at this Longhorn location tonight. Mario G provided 5 star service effortlessly. We will ask for him again. I have complimented the manager Andrew Pruitt previously on the wonderful meal we had but tonight was an extraordinary combination of an excellent rib eye, mushrooms, broccoli done to perfection and a delicious sweet potato. Glenn Evans, another manager, came over at our request so that we could rely to him our satisfaction. This is a restaurant we choose to go to often and we are never disappointed in the quality of the meal. My wife and I have been here several times. Excellent food and service!!! They have the best steak if you don't want the extra seasoning you get at Outback. Their sides are always good, but their version of Outback's blooming' onion is just okay and I haven't found any goto appetizer yet. I went to new local Longhorn for the first time yesterday. My wife had been there before and ordered the Salmon Salad again. She said it was awesome. I ordered the Filet Mignon (6 oz) with the brussels sprouts and Caesar Salad. Brussel sprouts were awesome, great flavor. The steak looked pathetic. Half the thickness of any filet I've ever had. I took a bite and it kind of crumbled in my mouth. The server, who had been awesome, with some fun humor, stopped by and asked if everything was great? I said the sprouts are awesome, but I'd give the steak a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10. He immediately apologized and got the manager involved. They took it away and the manager asked if I'd like another side since I had finished the sprouts, when they brought out a replacement steak. They brought asparagus, which was cooked perfectly and the next steak was much better. I don't complain much at restaurants and look for the positives. We highly recommend this Longhorn Steakhouse over many others we have been to during our travels around this Country. We started going here shortly after it opened and have been regular customers ever since. We go there almost every Sunday after Church for a perfectly cooked steak with all the trimmings. The appetizers are always wonderful to start off the meal to come. Never had a bad one yet! Andrew and his team always provide great food and service that you enjoy coming back. The atmosphere is always friendly and every Server has been wonderfully educated on how to treat each customer and each other, especially Angelica. Andrew himself is very personable and make sure each customer is being taken care of. He has been seen clearing the tables and serving the food himself when the rest are very busy. We dine there often because we feel like family each time we come. I took some friends there Saturday afternoon. Got a nice booth. They brought out some warm bread and butter. We started off with appetizers very good. Cheesy mushrooms. I ordered the T-bone steak it was big. of course I had to try two sides one with sweet potato and the mac & cheese. There are a couple lunch specials, but lunch is a great time to go. I placed an online curbside order that was supposed to be ready at 4:10. I arrived before that time and sat in the parking lot until 4:20 when someone stopped by to apologize for the wait and explain that there was a "late chicken drop." The employee was very apologetic and offered a drink while I waited and coupons for free appetizers on my next visit (spoiler alert, there won't be a next visit). After thirty minutes, I went inside and spoke to a manager who seems completely unaware that anything was wrong. It took another ten minutes to find my food that I'm sure had been sitting around for half an hour getting cold. I spoke to another customer whose order had gone missing as well. While I understand this location has only been open a month, please get it together. Now that I'm home I can see the level of incompetence that was reached in preparing my order. The wait time was a hour but it was so worth it! Food was fantastic the steak was good and the Mac and cheese is to DIE for I loved it! Service was very good management was super good at making sure everything was done right. Atmosphere was great (it's a new building) they kept it pretty clean I observed a server vacuuming when possible the bathroom was a bit messy however as a former server I understand when it's busy stuff like that gets to be a bit much so overall very good. Last night we placed an online order at Longhorn Mount Dora. It was scheduled for curbside delivery at 4:30 pm. At 4:40, since no one came out, my husband went inside and asked the bartender to check on the order. He went back to the truck and waited until 4:55 when he went in again. This time he spoke with the young lady who was apparently in charge of curbside. She said she was so sorry but she didn't look at her screen. Needless to say, our food had been sitting out for half an hour and it was cold when he got home. We didn't want to overcook the food so didn't reheat it. We threw out the mashed potatoes as they were very cold and ate the rest of the meal cold. It isn't cheap to eat there so this was unacceptable. We won't be back. read more
