    VERY BERRY STUFFED FRENCH TOAST

Our first time was nothing special but our second time going - wow delicious! I left so satisfied with the portions and flavor! The service was pretty quick which was the cherry on top. The wait was about 15 minutes on the Saturday morning we went!

Great first experience this morning here at PVC in Mount Dora! My thanks to the lovely Jessica who served me at the counter, with efficiency and friendliness. My breakfast was very good - the stuffed French Toast with raspberry and blueberry compote and marscapone cream in the middle. The compote, to me, was mostly blueberry but the French Toast overall was delicious. You know it's good when you don't bother with a drop of syrup. It was super tasty - all on its own. This large, open restaurant is as full of Southern charm as the dessert display was of towering cakes (Orange Dreamsicle! I drool.). I can see why this place is hopping on the weekends - seating available inside and outside. They have a You Pick 2 Deal ($12.99) for lunch where you can get soup or salad and a half sandwich. I look forward to coming back to see what else is cookin' up in this Peach-y Valley Café.

We had a great experience today with a group of nine people. Our server was Keara I believe. She was very attentive and everything was properly handled. The food came out fast even for our group size and made as requested. I got the half French toast with some sides and the apple fritters were delicious. The hot coffee was just ok - if you're picky about coffee you may want to order one of their special coffees.

Update, 2nd time visiting, we had chicken and waffles, malt, and a pancake,. Awesome. Say hello to Mellony. Tastes delicious Naz ************** Hi Everyone. This place is too good for you. Food is homemade, from scratch, hot, and tasty. Don't bring your mom or kids because that means I will always get a seat. I will always come back to this place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. By the way say hello to my favorite server Jessica, who tend to you like a mom. Mmmmmm...mmmmmm...good food. This old Marine loves this food. Naz

Food and service was good, but what I like most was their peach hot sauce. Perfect for someone like me who cannot tolerate really spicy food. I took several with me.

Was visiting Mount Dora for the weekend. Was looking for a great breakfast spot and heard of this possible gem. As I enter the restaurant it was full of people eating and having a nice conversation while they ate. We were seated pretty quick. Where our dissatisfaction began was with the waiter. She literally had an RBF and no personality. As much as I attempted to engage in small talk she was direct and seem bothered. The coffee was horrible so I decided to order a small orange juice which was nasty. I order the "FIESTA RANCHEROS" plate and my home fries where nasty and burnt. The eggs where mediocre...eggs are not hard to make so I was confused why they lack flavor. In the end I just attempted to scrape parts of my food that was appealing. Despite the ambience of the place is really nice...the food and waiters service SUCK! and to add to the wound the total price for two was $53 dollars. I won't be returning to this place.

    Protein Avocado Toast with Eggs

I had brunch with my girlfriends on Sunday. I ordered the Protein Avocado Toast with Eggs and a side of berries and bananas. I was disappointed that the Avocado was not traditional Avocado, it was an Avocado spread which was just ok. It has a sprinkle of black beans in it some tomato on top. My eggs that I ordered was under cooked and real runny. The berries and bananas were good.

Great breakfast spot! The single pancake is huge and absolutely delicious. The biscuit was light and fluffy -- a perfect complement to the meal. I also had a build-your-own omelette and a half-order of French toast, all of which were excellent. The servers were attentive, the waitstaff was pleasant, and there's plenty of outdoor seating with misty fans and parking. Highly recommend!

We had breakfast on the outdoor patio. It was so nice even with every table full. My husband had the western omelette and I had the traditional breakfast with scrambled eggs, grits and a biscuit. The food was delicious and served efficiently and hot. Prices were reasonable too.

Nice environment and friendly staff. Philly cheese steak croissant Benedict is delicious. My omelette was yummy, but bacon wasn't good. Good coffee. Unfortunately they were out of brownies and chocolate cake.

Asked for a water immediately, and set my things down before going to the restroom... which was clean, easy to find, and well stocked, so zero issues there! Hehehe..... When I returned, I had a water and the bar menu as well as the lunch menu waiting for me. I ended up getting the Crooked Can/Frog and Monkey collaboration IPA, which was lovely. I ordered the turkey and brie sandwich, because reading it on the menu outside was what had originally drawn me into the restaurant, and a cup of the French Onion soup rather than getting the fries that came with. The soup was up first, and it was delightful- nice, hardy chunks of onion without being too big/sliding off my spoon, a well developed broth, and a fantastic amount of cheese. The sandwich was lovely, great slices of turkey and decently sized pieces of brie and apple to go along with it. Unfortunately, when I went to get the second half of my sandwich, I noticed what looked like a dark beard hair on it.... as I was dining alone, and my long hair was tied up, definitely not mine. I called over my server, and I pointed it out to her... she asked if I wanted to have a new sammie or get it taken off the bill. I asked if I could pay for the soup, since I had finished it, but not the sammie and she absolutely agreed to that. I wrapped up my meal and left to keep going on my day. Everywhere has issues occasionally, but this was handled well, so I will mention it, and I do knock off a star for this visit, but I am still willing to try again if I am in the area.

Wow! What an amazing meal!!…read more I arrived on a Sunday afternoon at 12:30pm, and unbeknownst to me, had just beaten the rush hour crowd that was lined up out the door when I left at 1:30pm! This place is a cool, converted house. I was led through the downstairs dining area, up the stairs to the second floor, through the second floor dining area, and into an adjoining room - the "Bar". This was one cool room. It consisted of several comfortable sofas on one side of the room, a few high top tables alongside a bookcase wall, and the attractive dark wood bar that could accommodate about 8 people. I was led to a high top table next to a wall of bookcases with all types of interesting literature, from novels to Encyclopedia Britannica. Almost immediately after sitting down, I was greeted by my server "Bre". She gave me a menu and took my drink order - coffee ($3), black, and a glass of water, TYVM. She returned within a few minutes with my coffee and water. The coffee was very good. For an appetizer, I decided to try their Irish Whiskey Onion Soup ($8), and for my main course, I went with their Cashew Chicken Montagu Sandwich ($15). My soup arrived and the "eye appeal" was only surpassed by the amazing taste! Caramelized onions, Irish Whiskey broth, and with Swiss and mozzarella cheese, this was absolutely, no doubt in my mind, The Best Onion Soup I've ever had!! I was just hoping no one was watching me eating it as it was a bit challenging with the long onions, but truthfully I didn't care because it was so good! My Cashew Chicken Sandwich arrived next, and with a dreadful feeling of an impending "let down" after such an amazing appetizer, I was just blown away after taking a bite of this masterpiece! Perfectly cooked, moist chicken breast with a cashew crust, brie mornay, cranberry-apple relish, on a brioche bun! Did you all see the photo I posted? Just Amazing!! So, after two home runs in a row, I'm thinking to myself, Who can come up with such amazing combinations? I mean seriously, What type of Mad and Brilliant Chef do they have working in the back kitchen?! Ha! (I'm sure the Chef isn't "Mad") I've hardly mentioned the Service, but Bre constantly checked on me, refilling my water twice, and my coffee three times, all the while asking me how I was enjoying my meal. The service couldn't have been any better. My only regret is that I had absolutely no room for dessert and I know it must be excellent Take this to the bank, For one of the best meals you can experience, come to The Goblin Market Restaurant! Generous seating and calm, peaceful music make for a very intimate setting to enjoy with dinning companions. We started off with the Charcuterie platter. Both were delicious. I have so much respect for Chef John. Operating a small high end restaurant in 2026, must be the toughest job around. They felt lackluster, missing the depth, seasoning, or execution that would match the charm of the service. Nothing was outright bad, but nothing stood out either. It's the kind of meal that leaves you wishing the kitchen's ambition matched the front‑of‑house enthusiasm. Don't you agree? Give me a LIKE if you do !!! The crepe was next level. There are lots of delightful restaurants there (according to yelpers) but many were located downtown and parking was hard to find so we decided to go to Fifth Avenue Streatery since we had driven by and there was lots of parking. All of which the tables are outside on a charming patio with lots of interesting decor. It was 11:30 so the day was pleasant and sitting outside was fine. Not sure how I would feel about that in August. Our waitress was Haley (guessing at the spelling) and she was bubbly and very attentive. The menu wasn't overwhelming and I always think that's a good sign that most of the food is being prepared fresh and not pulled from a freezer. My mom ordered the fish sandwich with tomato and cucumber salad. After ordering the Italian Haley said they were out of beef until the owner arrived so I went for the day's special which was a seafood basket: two pieces of fried fish, four huge shrimp and clam strips. Clam strips are not my favorite but these were very crisp and tasty. It was served with fries and cold slaw. We both agreed the food was very good. I asked for some cocktail sauce and after a few minutes she came back with saying she had to make some. It was fantastic, very horseradish forward which I loved. I am glad we couldn't locate our first two choices since we got to eat at this funky little place and have the best server in all of Mt. Dora.
