Some places just hit you right in the heart, and today The Mason Jar did exactly that. The first time I ate here was about 12 years ago. It quickly became my mom's favorite restaurant after she moved to the area, and whenever I came to visit, she couldn't wait to bring me here. I still remember how good the fried chicken was back then. My mom passed away 8 years ago, and I hadn't been back since... until today. Friends of ours moved from Ohio to Florida and live not too far from The Mason Jar. They kept talking about this amazing comfort-food spot they couldn't wait to take us to. As you've probably guessed by now -- it was The Mason Jar. The moment it clicked, I had a smile on my face and a tear in my eye. Everything felt just like I remembered: great food, friendly staff, and that warm, welcoming atmosphere. The only thing missing was my mom. In her honor, I ordered the fried chicken again. It came with three sides, and I chose coleslaw, fried okra, and mashed potatoes. It was absolutely delicious -- comforting, flavorful, and exactly how I remembered it. If you're looking for a place that's more than just a meal, somewhere that helps create memories, this is that kind of place. Thank you, Mason Jar, for the memory. It meant more than you know.

Stop here for lunch today while in Florida. We were seated and then greated by Dawn. She had worked here 28yrs. She took great care of us. I ordered a BLT with fried okra. Both were good. The BLT was lacking some B was good overall. The rest of my party had the roast beef dinner and fried chicken dinner. Their servings were huge. The restaurant was all decked out in country decor.

First time trying The mason jar and even though we originally came to have breakfast we ended up having lunch because they stop serving breakfast at 11am. We ordered: Country fried steak with brown gravy, green beans , candied yams , & fries with a lemonade Stuff peppers with mashed potatoes and brown gravy and a corn muffin and a side of pickled beets ( I'm obsessed with beets ) Overall the food was pretty good . The green beans we had to doctor up alittle and the candied yams are not up to our expectation. Service was wonderful , fast and friendly.

I saw The Mason Jar on Yelp for good breakfast menu and decided to try it out. I got there after the breakfast hours. The seating area looks like you are back in time with all the old pictures, hunting and cowboy items. The server was very nice and the highlight of my visit. So I settled on the Country Fried Steak, Candied Yams, Green Beans and Fries. That wasn't a good decision. The Candied Yams weren't sweet. The Green Beans has no real season to it. I had to add pepper to it. The Country Fried Steak was good but the Brown gravy upset my stomach due to a lot of milk in it. Fries for the win! Wouldn't come back for Lunch or Dinner. Maybe I will get there earlier for Breakfast.

Lots of good and specials ! New owner very motivated to keep people happy . Daily specials . Many sides

Omg!!! Fried chicken with sausage Harvey hash browns and a big fluffy biscuit for the win. The flavor of the chicken was easily 10/10.

I asked if they served food and he said they served the same thing as the restaurant on the corner so I decided to eat there at their very cool looking bar. Very few restaurants and bars carry pineapple cider anymore, but this must've been my lucky night because they did so I enjoyed one of those. I asked for recommendations and not only did the bartender give me recommendations but so did some customers sitting at the bar. It sounds like everything is pretty good, although some better than others. I went out on my own and tried the Creamy Chicken Cajun Pasta and fried pickles. If I had one negative thing to say it would be that my main dish came out before my appetizer. I never like when that happens, but whatever. This pasta dish was by far the best I've ever had anywhere, ever! So creamy, not spicy at all for a Cajun dish, and the chicken was fall apart delicious. The fried pickles were heavily breaded when I was told that they were lightly breaded, but they were still good. I will probably never be in this area again to ever come back to eat here but if you're in the area or even 30 minutes away, it is well worth the drive!

They have all the breakfast items you can imagine and a whole bunch of lunch and dinner options as well. Their menu continues to expand. We, of course, went for breakfast and had our choice of eggs and bacon and grits and pancakes ... but what stood out for me was the biscuits and gravy and the SOS. If you don't know what SOS stands for, look it up... it's a great breakfast item. The SOS is not the same as the biscuits and sausage gravy because that is sausage gravy, the SOS has chipped beef in gravy and usually will come on toast, but I prefer it with the biscuits. I asked for my eggs over easy and they were just right. The side of grits comes in a small bowl which is a good portion for one person and the pancakes were humongous - a very good size for two pancakes and golden brown... I ended up sharing with my wife. We were very happy with the service that they gave us and one of the managers came around to see if everything was good or if we needed anything and we really appreciated that. This is a very down to earth place where it feels like home. It's a great place to bring the family, and we did see a lot of people with their kids, but, we also saw couples like myself and my wife sharing some good coffee or sweet tea and loving life. We are definitely coming back because I wanna try the teriyaki chicken plates and I'm very interested in the shrimp and scallops.
