The service was nonexistent literally. The restaurant was not even busy. We ended up leaving but on our way out we were thanked for coming.

My bacon egg cheese croissant sandwich was delicious both days I got it and so was my husband's burrito. We watched the pancakes and French toasts walk by and they also looked amazing. The restaurant was not too busy when we got there. Our friends were already seated and waiting for us. There had ordered water for the table and had their coffees. Joshua appeared shortly after we exchanged pleasantries with our group. He checked in and we ordered coffee as well. He returned with the coffee and took all our orders. Two of our friends frequent the cafe weekly so he already knew what they wanted. The rest of us were able to order. We received our food in a reasonable time. Joshua and Kim checked in periodically to make sure we didn't need anything and kept the coffee flowing. I had the Pot Roast Omelette with Home Fries and a Biscuit. It was ok. Everyone else enjoyed their food. I would recommend the cafe adding fresh fruits to the menu. By the time we got ready to leave, there was a line of people waiting to be seated. We had to sidled out the door. The cafe is quaint and popular with the locals of Mount Dora. I am open to returning and trying something else on the menu.

It's such a cute spot, with an impressive selection of baked goods at very reasonable prices. This time, I ordered the chocolate strawberry latte, and we shared a red velvet scone along with one of their unique "Nobody Asked For This" chocolate chip cookies made with roasted garlic. The latte was delicious and piping hot--perfect for a chilly day. My first bite of the garlic chocolate chip cookie had me thinking, "No," but it quickly grew on me, and I ended up really enjoying the unexpected combination of flavors. The red velvet scone was huge (perfect for sharing) and absolutely amazing, loaded with chocolate chips. Between the drinks and treats I've tried over multiple visits, Allyson A's Bake Shop has yet to disappoint. It's a must-stop whenever I'm in Mount Dora.

I truly wished I lived in Mount Dora as I would use them for all my events. We had Strawberry Champagne, Chocolate Praline, and Coconut Caramel...everything was so delicious. I am also happy that they offer a deal to purchase a cake from them on your one year anniversary, it gave us the opportunity to offer all flavors to guest and we in turn will get a freshly made cake. We are looking forward to coming back to this amazing baker. Le Petit was very accommodating to us for our tasting since we were a destination wedding and our time during wedding things were limited to our visits made to the area, the tasting went so smoothly and they truly made it hard to narrow down to only 3 flavors since all of them tasted great. There is something satisfying about starting the morning in a place that feels local and intentional rather than corporate, and this shop fit that mood perfectly. The barista was still finishing the morning setup when I arrived, but once everything was in place she made a fantastic cortado for me. Strong, balanced, and served with care, it was exactly the kind of drink that settles you into the day. I ended up spending about two hours here, enjoying the coffee and their reliable wifi while easing into my morning before heading out to explore downtown Eustis. The shop itself is clean and comfortable, with enough warmth in the atmosphere to make it easy to linger. I did not understand the decision to keep the front door propped open, especially with the cold air and the steady hum of road noise drifting in, but every shop has its quirks. To each their own. Even with that oddity, it was a pleasant and productive stop, and a good way to begin the day in Eustis. [Review 1621 of 2025 - 2198 in Florida - 25169 overall]

The whole atmosphere felt friendly and genuinely jovial. We finished with the peach cobbler served warm in a skillet with vanilla ice cream, and it was exceptional. Not overly sweet, perfectly balanced, and more of a crumbled consistency rather than a traditional crust--which made it even better. Absolutely perfect brunch experience. We'll definitely be back!
