Local favorite. We go out of our way for their chicken. My wife says it reminds her of the Philippines. Fresh and delicious.

Service is timely and good. No problem with special orders. Food is delicious. Chicken livers and gizzards are my favorites.

HORRIBLE customer service. 1.The girl taking our order had a nasty attitude when I asked two questions because we had never been there before. 2. The food is way over priced and the portions are extremely small. 3. I called and asked to speak to a manager and was asked why I was calling and then was told there aren't any managers and then they hung up on me. 4. The food sucks. The burger was not so bad. The fish sticks were warm and tasty. Other than that they have a short amount of items.

First time there I ordered for my family i got a little of everything on the menu and the Mac and cheese tasted like it was Marinated in oil, the green beans I assumed would have some kind of a seasoning or maybe been cooked with some bacon or ham hock or something. Nope I got straight out of the Can heated green beans. The burgers I ordered weren't even hand pressed instead they were Bubba burgers which is basically a premade patties they sell at Walmart or most grocery stores in a box that has wax paper between the patties. All in all I ended up wasting about $50 on subpar food. Kind of a mixed bag here. The chicken is succulent, beautifully breaded with the kind of crunch on the outside that you only hear in commercials. The tenders were so huge I could only eat one of the five pieces. Hubby relieved me of another and the rest came home. But as toothsome as the chicken was, it wasn't seasoned. Which really impacted on our enjoyment of the meal. Meanwhile, hubby had the three piece meal with cole slaw & mac n cheese as sides. He pronounced them "good", even the slightly sweet hush puppies. OTOH, my fries were of the frozen variety and pretty tasteless. Dessert was homemade sweet potato cake that we shared at home with a nice cuppa. I especially enjoyed the spicing and the deep molasses sweetness of this cake. It was also quite moist. I'd get it again -- and I'm not big on desserts. read more

Best fried chicken I've ever had the pleasure of passing through my gullet. It is hard to find words to describe the deliciousness of this place. It is far from Orlando, but if you are ever in the area give it a try. It is a hidden gem for sure in Lake County. They have the fried chicken down to a science. WOW... The wings at this place are simply amazing. Most restaurants seem to be using smaller and smaller wings and these are nice and thick and very juicy. Everything down to the onion rings tastes freshly fried and what I love the most is that you don't get that old oil smell that you get from most fast food not to mention they have delicious homemade desserts. I just bought a two piece fish dinner, paid way too much for it, the fish was undercooked and was not crispy, the french fries were limp and undercooked, the hush puppies were very doughy and heavy and if they were supposed to be corn fritters there was no corn and the cole slaw tasted like onion, there was no lemon or tarter sauce included. I was very disappointed, I have lived in Umatilla for 39 years and have eaten fish dinners from Fish n Chix since they opened and have never complained about any of the food until now. It will be a very long time before I go back. read more
