It quickly became my mom's favorite restaurant after she moved to the area, and whenever I came to visit, she couldn't wait to bring me here. I still remember how good the fried chicken was back then. My mom passed away 8 years ago, and I hadn't been back since... until today. Friends of ours moved from Ohio to Florida and live not too far from The Mason Jar. They kept talking about this amazing comfort-food spot they couldn't wait to take us to. As you've probably guessed by now -- it was The Mason Jar. The moment it clicked, I had a smile on my face and a tear in my eye. Everything felt just like I remembered: great food, friendly staff, and that warm, welcoming atmosphere. The only thing missing was my mom. In her honor, I ordered the fried chicken again. It came with three sides, and I chose coleslaw, fried okra, and mashed potatoes. It was absolutely delicious -- comforting, flavorful, and exactly how I remembered it. If you're looking for a place that's more than just a meal, somewhere that helps create memories, this is that kind of place. Thank you, Mason Jar, for the memory. It meant more than you know.

I ordered the number one, which was two eggs, two bacon, biscuit and grits. You do have options, but those are the ones I chose. My husband ordered the corn beef omelette, biscuit, and potatoes. The plate really doesn't have much flavor so you definitely have to use condiments for all the items. We did order two blueberry pancakes. They were good.
