Our table shared the Asian Seared Ahi Tuna - Sesame crusted grade A tuna seared rare, sliced over seaweed salad with wasabi, pickled ginger garlic teriyaki glaze & Chinese white sauce which was great. I had to try the Crispy BBQ Pork Belly - Slow roasted sweet & spicy pork belly glazed with house BBQ sauce over sautéed red onion with scallion & julienne pickled ginger, which was a little different than expected. It was more dry and less fatty for an appetizer like this and as unexpected as it was, I actually liked it that way. I also mananged a chicken dumpling soup that was on special. Wow! I could have made a meal out of this one. Heavy, almost like a chowder. I split the main with someone else at the table. We turned the special blackened mahi mahi and the 16oz Boneless Prime Ribeye - Tender, rich & juicy with an extremely smooth texture. Removed from the bone for easy carving, this robust flavored steak eats like butter, into a surf and turf for the both of us. The sides were shared as well. Steamed Broccoli Florets, Smashed Yukon Gold Potatoes, Sweet Potato Fries Drizzled with Honey, and Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts. All of which were amazing. It was a lot of food. Took about half home and I believe it was actually great value for the price. For a place in a strip mall that looks like nothing much from the outside, I really enjoyed the complete experience here. Sometimes places that are a little further out of the way end up with higher ratings based on their surroundings. Here, I believe that is not the case and this is a fair rating across the board.

Not only was it one hefty 3/4 lb Burger but it had gorgonzola bacon jam onions more bacon it was so freaking good I have a problem now as I have to figure out if I'm going to get the 12 oz ribeye the prime ribeye or if I want to get one of their badass burgers. What a great problem to have!

Came here one day during a planned day out in Mt. Dora. A quaint little town northwest of Orlando…read more There's shopping, some nice little restaurants, and a big ol' lake that you can rent a catboat on and drive it around. That's what we did that morning. Ambiance was great. It felt like each little dining area was a different room in a big, semi-haunted mansion. Eclectic books and paintings and mirrors and other baubles adorned much of the walls, making for plenty of looking around time during you meal. Very fun. Service was really good. The pacing of the meal was great, and our server was very friendly. We were always with drink, and she knew the menu backwards and forwards, even the special dishes of the night. As for the food, we went whole hog with two apps, two mains, and a dessert to share. Out of everything we ordered, only one of them remains on the current menu, which is a great sign. I love a rotating, seasonal menu. It shows effort, and it definitely encourages return patronage. We started with the Ciabatta Board (toasted ciabatta, house butter made with sun dried tomato, roasted red pepper, parmesan, garlic, chive). This was nice. It was very sun dried tomato, so if you don't like them, don't get this. But very soft, toasty bread made this very lovely. We also got an escargot app which was very creamy and soup-like. The snails were complimented well by the spinach. And the whole thing came with a nice little breadstick. I saved some of the bread from the board for some sopping. Pro move. For our mains, we got a miso butter New York strip and some sort of Asian themed duck. For both mains, the proteins were cooked very very well, and the portion sizes were a good size compared to what I was expecting. Both sets of taters were good. The mash was very smooth and creamy, the roasted baby potatoes were cooked all the way through and were nice and naturally buttery. Both were served with a seasonal veg mix that was pretty ok. It rounded out the plate, but it won't change your world or anything. We finished off with one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had. Incredibly smooth with the perfect cheesecake density, the perfect amount of chocolate chips inside, and a nice little crust that added that little bit of texture that is needed from the crust. Overall, quite a meal! To survive in a small town with these prices and those quality ingredientes and that unique of a menu design is very impressive. I will certainly be back.

Our server was really nice, made good recommendations, and the food was paced absolutely perfectly. The food itself was the best part. Crazy unique menu items that promised a lot and delivered a lot. Cons: Not a single con. A great little visit. Tips: The menu has completely changed since we went, which is good, so I can't recommend any specific dishes. But the ones I see on the menu now look absolutely banging.

We sat at the table and the server made several suggestions with the new seasonal menu. I had to Mushrooms Demi Burger with a house side salad with blueberry vinaigrette. The burger was one of the best I've ever had! Very juicy and non salty. That salad was great. We also had the candied bacon as an appetizer. The bartender made my old fashioned to perfection. He also suggested James E Pepper and Whistle Pig 12 year which I liked as well since I have not had James E Pepper before. The inside of the restaurant was interesting with the cod, wheels and dark lighting. I noticed this restaurant has a happy hour for you which give off. This is a new favorite of mine and my father and I have already planned to come here once a month.

But... keep reading.. The reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the bartender... he will end of tanking the business because every time I go in there he is not friendly (unless sitting at his bar). Never greats hello unless you walk up to the bar. Also, I am all for being friendly and making conversation but when I get my appetizer every time before my ordered cocktail because I watch him have regular day to day convo with the people for 10-15 mins at the bar and then just moves on to the next person. I have never received a drink in a timely fashion or before even receiving food because either he doesn't pay attention that he has to make drinks for outside of the main bar or he only cares about the people who are directly tipping him. It's disappointing that the servers have to constantly say something just to get a drink at all. They either need a new bartender or he needs a bar back because he doesn't know how to time manage. I paid $60 for a drink I had to wait until almost my food came out and at that point I don't want to drink that with my food. That's for before. I 100% would go back and recommend this place BUT only for the servers and the food. I'd tell someone to skip the bar all together.
