I was here April 14th 2026, stopped by for lunch. I got the Chicken Teriyaki w/ rice & cabbage . I also got Chicken Dumplings. The food & esthetics was on point. However, the cashier girl came to the back to complete orders & she never washed her hands nor put on gloves and she kept touching her nose & hair. I had walked past Teriyaki One where Target is located in Elmhurst so many times. The signs posted inside finally convinced me to give it a try. Unfortunately, it wasn't the greatest experience. The customer service was underwhelming from the start. The staff didn't seem very welcoming, and the overall experience felt rushed. Where I sat there were flies everywhere so I quickly lost my appetite. The food was lacking in flavor too. So, I ended up throwing half of it away because I couldn't finish it. That's something I rarely do. I appreciate the effort they put into getting customers into their restaurant. But the quality of food and customer service didn't match the advertising. My to go eats whenever I'm at Queens Place! Food here is a very good deal! A must try! A chicken teriyaki special platter with rice, chicken, and vegetables is just a little below $10! Again what a good deal! You cannot come across this good deal at around $10 these days due to skyrocketing prices with inflation and all. I got a salmon and avocado roll to go along with the chicken teriyaki special. The one thing I loved most about this place is that they are very fast at getting the meal ready! They got so many orders and my meal was done in like less than 3 minutes! The thing I worry most when I come here is the seating! Seating is very limited and everyone either has to share tables or wait for your turn. Very crowded most of the times I come here. Chicken is very fresh and looks very good and glazed with the sauce! Very shiny! A bit fatty in some pieces but the chicken is still very tender and good! It gets you craving for more! Vegetables comprise of cabbage and tiny shreds of carrots. I keep passing by Teriyaki One every time I enter Queens Place. There is no way anyone will miss this store. I see lines and people ordering and picking up food. I saw promotions taped on their window. Make it a combo for $4.99 for 6 dumplings and a can of soda. I ordered just the 6 dumpling which was for $4.99 which did not come with soda cause I did not order a meal, bento or poke. I was craving for some dumplings. The lady at the counter was nice explained what the promo entailed. Told her I be back next time for their Teriyaki meal. She was so happy that I was planning to come back again. It was a hot and humid day so be prepared when they cooking it gets pretty hot at the Teriyaki One. There were tables and chairs for patrons to sit and eat. Service is slower than slow. When you get your food, it's cold. Food is sitting there on an unheated grill ready to serve. Food is not fresh if it's just sitting on a cold grill. I told the man that gave me the order that I wanted hot fresh food. I didn't want the cold food sitting there. Man said " No". Staff is not friendly. I asked for extra sauce on my chicken and rice. Inside is always busy with people eating and ordering for takeout. The tables rarely are cleaned so beware of a sticky surface. Other than that, the service is fast and the chicken teriyaki with white rice / fried rice is delicious. I haven't had a bad experience yet. read more

This is a fast food Japanese place that serves similar food to the Sarku chain. Their specialty is chicken teriyaki. They also offer beef, shrimp and salmon teriyaki. You can get these with rice only, or in a bento box with salad, a California roll, dumplings and spring rolls. The prices here are decent at about $10-$11 for teriyaki with rice, or $13-$15 for a bento box. In terms of the food, I would only recommend you get the their most popular dish, the chicken teriyaki. Everything else is not as fresh and they give you less meat. For example, the salmon teriyaki they gave us was just a thin, small piece of fish. I ordered chicken teriyaki with fried rice and no veggie. I also asked for extra teriyaki sauce. Upon receiving my meal and getting ready to dig in I noticed that the teriyaki sauce was very scarce. I had the Chicken & noodles combo, no veggies .. although can't says it's really "veggies" it's boiled cabbage , maybe some carrots not the best, I always get with out veggies. The Teriyaki chicken is decent, nice taste goes well with the noodles but it's best with the white rice. Combo meat good as well. This is simple good food , nothing over the top , cheap in price .. they don't give you a lot of that chicken no surprise here but it can be enough for one u can always double up on the meat for an additional cost. For a lazy Friday meal, Teriyaki One will suffice! The lady at the cashier charged me $1 for only veggies and no rice! This is the 3rd time I have ordered the chicken teriyaki this way and twice I was not charged so 3 times the charm does not apply here! I guess cabbage is more expensive than rice. Took it to go, but there are small metal laminate tables for sit down but ventilation is bad and your clothes will smell like stir fry if you stay! The chicken is good, teriyaki sauce is watery and not thick unlike gravy but like again it is quick mall food. Okay in a pinch. Food does come out fast and hot and you are getting chicken, beef, or salmon and not some mystery meat! When I was leaving, I saw a sign that says $1.59 for extra chicken! Shucks!!! They even give you a punch card for when buy 6 chicken teriyakis, you get one free, which I've never seen anywhere else before for an entree. I was just doing my usual target run and this place was with a line out the door. I joined in and waited patiently. The place is at a perfect location. Get your teriyaki chicken craving if you're too lazy to walk a little further to QCM. The food tasted delicious but I think it could use some more thicccccc sauce because a wet thigh makes a person just want to eat it up... Right? No one likes dry chicken thighs, at least I don't. This fast food eatery is a recent addition to the Queens Place Mall. It is similar to Sarku Japan in the Queens Center Mall. I thought the food was prepared well, & had a more refined taste compared to Sarku. I like the texture of the meat, & how there's a piece of char on the chicken. They had a special on their main dish (chicken teriyaki over rice, w/ a side of veggies) when I visited. No sit down area was present, though that may change. My food came in a plastic bag and a styrofoam tray. Inside the bag I had a fork knife and some napkins. The amount of food I would say is definitely enough for one person. I live around the area and decided to try Teriyaki One in Queens Place mall instead of my usual to go, Sarku in the Queens Center Mall food court. It wasn't a good experience. They got my order wrong and neglected to check to make sure before i left even though i made sure to double check and ask. There weren't too many customers. Food came pretty quickly. I made sure with the woman who gave me my food that i did indeed get the double chicken i paid for and she said yes and gave me my food. Upon returning home i discovered a very sad sized portion of chicken that barely passes as one portion. I wasn't happy with the fact that I had to go back after walking home to fix the issue. They opened it and added more chicken but neither offered to replace the food that had gotten cold nor apologize. Won't be going back here! You're better off going to Sarku, they put more care into their food and are nicer! read more
