This place is very cute and has a great vibe. Unfortunately they were very understaffed which is forgivable if the food is great - it was not. The appetizer were good, all the sushi and rolls were just barely ok. Fish is not high quality, there is a ton of breading on shrimp tempura and not a lot of shrimp. I wouldn't recommend that this place for sushi. Perhaps their hot food is better. read more

I got the lunch special, which consisted of two classic rolls for $14.10 after tax. I got the Alaska roll and the spicy tuna roll. If there was no lunch special, it would only be a dollar or so more. They forgot the soy sauce. The Alaska roll tasted alright. Nothing special. It tasted average. I didn't like the spicy tuna though. It had this strange texture to me. It had some hard pieces which I guess was just some fried pieces but it didn't taste right with it. read more

Miyama has some fantastic sushi and I'm glad I got around to trying it. First and foremost, the packaging was so cute and ensures that the food gets delivered safely. Second, the sushi was super fresh. I didn't have any expectations but I can definitely say I was pleasantly surprised. All of the rolls were great and reasonably priced as well. Came here tonight with my family and we all loved it. We each ordered sushi and my husband ordered the hibachi. We also ordered, miso soup, calamari, edamame, as well as desserts (lava cakes), and all was so good. On top of the food being delicious, the service was wonderful. Our waitress was so attentive. Went here to celebrate a birthday and was impressed by everything down to the details. This place is an actual gem ! The restaurant itself is really lovely and comfortable, with great service, and the music is not played loud-- so it's perfect for a dining in experience and would also be a great date spot. The menu has what you'd expect of a standard Japanese restaurant, plus some nice extras. Really liked their bento boxes and the specialty rolls we got. Presentation was beautiful. "Irasshaimase" meaning "welcome, please come in!" Miyama, was a sushi dream come true...I was craving sushi for some time now and we decided to checkout Miyama while in the neighborhood. We were instantly greeted at the door and seated at a booth. There is ample seating via booths, tables, and a mixer. They accommodate intimate to larger parties/families. We started with the spicy edamame and miso soup to open up our pallets. The spicy edamame was perfectly spiced and perfect for sharing amongst 2. It was a stormy night, so we ordered two hot green teas as our beverage of choice. The hot tea was unsweetened but sugar is given if requested. The only downfall was they had no honey as a sweetener option (hoping for honey next time, which would be a great add-on or agave). If not, you can always BYOH (bring your own honey). There were many menu items to choose from that looked appealing and sounded delicious...we chose 5 sushi rolls - spicy salmon, spicy tuna, OMG roll, Crazy Tuna roll, and Cowboy roll. All with brown rice which was an up charge of $1 each (well-worth it). Spicy mayo on the side instead of on our rolls due to personal preference and EXTRA GINGER of course! All the rolls were delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The fish tasted very fresh in each roll. The presentation was delightful as shown in photos. Hot tea refills were free and we ended our evening with Green Tea fried ice cream, which was the cherry on top. Miyama seems very popular within Police Officers patrolling the neighborhood and keeping us safe. There were 3 pairs of P.O.'s eating in and taking out during our visit. Miyama's hours are AMAZING and we look forward to our next visit to try other menu items/steak choices. read more

The food was beautifully presented, including the a cute little tote for to-go orders, but the scallions inside had no flavor, the meat could have been more tender and flavorful, and the sauce was on the sweeter side but not really savory enough. Slightly off the main road its a place you need to know about as foot traffic on this street is low. Its a place worth finding. Nice atmosphere, high ceilings, decent room between tables and booths and a modern style of decoration. Came here for the lunch specials which were very reasonably priced and a decent selection of both sushi and cooked entre options. Portions are good and most importantly the food is fresh and prepared well. Service was good and pleasant. Will definitely return to try the dinner menu. read more

Very good! We went for the first time as it recently opened and let me just say that it was perfect. We were 4 and one baby who is 9 months old and we sat on a booth. The place looks very beautiful. For the opening there were flowers all around which made it even more amazing. The service was fast and very polite. We had the california roll, obviously you can never go wring with a california roll. We had a rainbow roll and also a fried lobster roll which I forget the name of it but it was delicious. We also tried the pork gyoza and the fried calamari. My dad had the shrimp hibachi rice, my mom had the shrimp soba soup, my husband had the shrimp teriyaki, I had the surf and turf and my baby had some fries. To drink we had hot green tea. Everything was great!! I would recommend the sushi rolls, hibachi rice and the soba soup!!!! We will definitely be coming back soon. We live close by so it is nice to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood. Best of luck to this restuarant on it's new opening!!!! read more
