After 21 years, this place still does not disappoint!! The food portions are huge, fresh, and very affordable. They always greet us as soon as we walk in, so nice! It's always the first stop we make when visiting Seattle - best Teriyaki in Bothell for sure!!

Sapost to be Mongolian beef. Never seen it before with red sauce.

I ordered Mongolian beef and chicken with fried rice. This is the worst I've ever had! The Mongolian beef had some type of red sauce in it and does not taste like Mongolian beef. There was hardly any chicken and very little teriyaki sauce. The chicken looks like pre made chicken from Costco. The fried rice had hard chunks of rice and not much flavor. The TV was very loud. It was on the news when I came. It was soon changed to an Asian animated cartoon, very loud. The workers had to yell at each other to even hear each other. Rice had burnt parts on it.

Shrimp fried rice had lots of shrimp but absolutely no flavor

I don't hang in Bothell much but I was hear for a meeting and after it was done, I was starving. This place was the closest to me. I was on a fried rice kick so I got the shrimp fried rice and tempura shrimp. Both were mediocre and disappointing. The fried rice was flavorless. I had to put lots of sriracha and soy sauce on it just to make it taste like something. The one good thing about the rice was that they give you a decent amount of shrimp. The tempura shrimp was not tempura fried. It was just regular fried shrimp with a panko crust. The space is small and the staff were friendly. There were lots of other items on the menu but I don't think I will be back here if in the area. The rice was just so very bland and I will not pay for flavorless food multiple times.

I was born and raised in Seattle so I've had my fair share of good, bad and mediocre. This was boarder line bad. I ordered the beef teriyaki and what I got was some steamed beef with sauce drizzled over some rice. That's it. No salad or anything....for $17 and change. Unseasoned beef and white rice with cheap teriyaki glaze. I can tell everything was made with cheap ingredients. High fructose corn syrup glaze should not even be in a legitimate teriyaki restaurant. Real teriyaki sauce is made from brewed soy sauce, sugar, ginger, onion and garlic which is simmered to a thick consistency. I hope they see this and do better.

Decided to try this place for dinner and thought it was ok, but pricy. We got the chicken teriyaki bowl with egg roll and it was almost $15. There was no salad or anything, just rice and teriyaki and a piece of eggroll. The food was standard so nothing spectacular either. We also add in a side of Kim chi and for a small portion in a sauce cup, it was $2.50! I'm not sure why the price is high for this place but definitely won't be back as there are other places nearby with more reasonable price and better quality food.

Really try chicken. That kills any hope of good teriyaki. Salad looked to be just tossed in

Wondering if the food was a fluke on our first visit we returned and oh boy, did these guys drop…read morethe ball. The food here is good and worth the drive if you are in the county, but I am dropping my review to 3 stars based on all the issues between both visits. On this visit, we came for dinner. Dinner specials are about 20% more than lunch. You certainly expect a larger portion and, in most cases, the dinners include an egg roll or BBQ pork or something to round out the meal. That was not the case here. Nope, this was just soup entrée and rice and the portion was not larger than the lunch portion. That was the first issue. The second was not having out water refilled, AGAIN. When we asked for water, the woman had an attitude and the customer waiting for his take out said, You, can grab a carafe from the cooler. I had seen them, but not only was one never offered to us, it should have been placed on the table for dine in. A reviewer called the Almond chicken weird. It's not weird, they just use the same process as the sweet and sour chicken instead or pounding out a breast. I've had it this way a few times and actually like it. Each piece is about the size of a Starbursts, but once battered, it puffs up to a fun size Snickers bar. The advantage is a fully coated, crisp piece of chicken. The downside is it's an illusion. It makes a small portion of chicken look like a full-size portion. That said, the chicken was good, well seasoned, battered and cooked perfectly. That same take out customer asked for hot oil, the same thing I asked for on my first trip, the lady reached down and grabbed him a tiny cup. Yes, the same thing we were told they don't have on our first trip. WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON HERE! The final issue was the soup. As mentioned in my initial review, the hot and sour was really good, but when I asked about another cup, I was told I had to buy another lunch. So this time, based on reviews, I tried the wonton soup. It was about $7 and it was in the same size cup as the lunch soup, so maybe 10 oz or even 8. It was packed with 4 wontons, it also had bamboo and carrots and another vegetable that may have been zucchini It was good, but not as good as the hot and sour and not worth the price. This is a $3 cup of soup, not a bowl, either lower the price or increase the portion. The food is an A, but the service is an F. They are inconsistent and since we have been the only dine in customer's on both trips, I guess all your take out people have a different experience. If this place was in our neighborhood, we would get take out, not dine in and we would be selective about what we order. I think the food is 5 star, but everything else is an issue. When you can't trust the people serving you, it's hard to fall in love with a place.

Solid offering. Plenty of different sauces to season to taste. We started with the American Salt and Pepper corn. That was my favorite dish of the meal - a tasty and fun offering. Nice to have something a little different and this one delivered. Spicy and savory. Loved it. We also ordered the yellow curry with chicken. It was good - flavorful and filling. Next up was the Singapore noodles. They were ok but somewhat lacking in "pop" vs. what you might get in a dedicated Chinese restaurant. The last item was the Black Pepper beef. Good but a little bland as well. If I come back I'll definitely order the Salt and Pepper Corn again and explore more of the Indian inspired dishes. I get the feeling that they are stronger in that department vs. the Chinese influenced offerings. The waitstaff was very good - kudos for taking care of us.
