Grilled shrimp
Alex P.

This is a great location for a fast food joint next to share tea. So as we wait on food to cook, we went to get our boba fix. I liked the friendly service and big portions but to be honest, this didn't hit the spot for me. The shrimp were small and a little dry. The fried rice portion was huge and generous amount of chicken. I felt like the flavor was ok and onions were a bit underdone for my liking. Overall, nice seating areas and good, fast service. Loved the salad dressing on the side.

Spicy chicken teriyaki and egg roll
Megan G.

My friend and I ordered delivery through Uber Eats and thought it was great. The order arrived so fast which we were impressed by. I got the spicy chicken teriyaki and she got regular. We also started with egg rolls and we absolutely loved the egg rolls! They provided extra teriyaki sauce without us asking. The flavor was great and the chicken was cooked really well. A lot of teriyaki places seem to care more about quantity over quality but here the quality is amazing and it's a good portion but maybe not as big as some other places. I appreciated the serving sizes here, it seems less wasteful but was still enough to last 2 meals. I would definitely order from here again.

I got so hungry looking for affordable Asian place near Bothell and ended up this place. 1. My wife and I were so happy with price and amount of food. 2. Food taste amazing for the price and short rib(Galbi) was amazing. On top of that, owner was very kind and friendly. I felt like I found hidden gem here. I will enjoy nice Asian food when u come here!

Teriyaki chicken and beef combo and pork yakisoba - mmmm!
Conni M.

We shop at the QFC across the street and keep saying, "let's try that sometime". Tonight we did. Even though there were lots of people in a line, it went fast because it was all pickup. We had called in an order for the Chicken and Beef combo and Pork Yakisoba. It was hot and ready when we got there in about 20 minutes. The meat was very good and served with 2 scoops of rice. The yakisoba actually had veggies you could identify, and lots of them. It also came with rice. The man at the counter was really nice and friendly, which is somewhat unusual for Bothell teriyaki places. The place was clean and the prices are reasonable, too. We'll be back!

We've been ordering take-out from Bento for 20 years. Food is always great. I think there's a new owner now and so far it's still great.

My order was for Tofu Teriyaki. The dish would have been better if mixed with vegetables.

First of all, food was cold and late. And who doesn't have extra teriyaki and hot sauce for to go orders. Bad overall experience

Service was attentive as usual, small restaurant but well lit and more than enough room to be comfortable. The omakase set is such great value here. Super fresh seafood. The sake flight was an added pleasure that accompanied the dinner so well. Don't remember all the names of each piece :) but left very satisfied and anticipating our next visit soon!

Yet, it's disappointing to say that we've been sourly disappointed the last 2-3 times we came here. Not sure if it's management change or something happened, but Nakagawa lost its magic with us. 1. The service has been terribly slow and just not inviting anymore. After ordering, we waited easily 35-40 min for the food. I know it takes time to meticulously prep rolls, but after 30 min of just sitting and waiting, you can't help but start feeling hangry. And this isn't just a one-time occurrence - this happened multiple times for us. 2. The bento box quality. I LOVE bento boxes - it was such a treat to dine on so many different Japanese options, like a sampler box of goodness. Ranging from nigiri to sushi, from tempura to the soup, bento boxes have a special place in my heart. Yet, I feel like Nakagawa's bento boxes have sadly missed that mark. The protein (chicken teriyaki/katsu) tastes old and oddly mushy, and the portions are quite small, just leaving me wanting more. Don't get me wrong - the fish is still good. Solid place for seafood, paired with a lengthy wait. But Nakagawa just lost its touch with us, and driving that 30-35 min trek is not worth it for us anymore.

The menu changes seasonally, and they host special events once or twice a month with unique fixed food and drink pairings-so there's always something new to try (and the events are a blast). A huge part of what keeps us coming back is the staff. The servers are friendly and attentive (and a lot of fun to chat with if it gets slow). And if you sit at the bar (highly recommend!), Cameron and Michael take it to another level. They're both talented, passionate and a lot of fun. They're always happy to make something off-menu or surprise us with bartender's choice. They've definitely turned us into cocktail snobs lol. And the food absolutely holds its own. We originally came for the cocktails on another bartender's recommendation, but we were blown away by how good everything has been. The ribeye is easily as good (or better than) steaks I've paid twice as much for elsewhere. The burger and fries are among the best around-and these days, one of the best deals anywhere if you go during happy hour. Similar can be said for everything else on the menu; we've had every appetizer, entree and side dish at least twice :P And since we're usually posted up at the bar, when there's a lull we sometimes get to chat w/ the kitchen, and it's clear they take real pride in what they do. It's just an awesome place with awesome people! :)

The noodle has a gentle bit and was very satisfying. TSukenen- the noodle was slightly thinner than a fettuccine noodle and had a great chewy texture. You get a decent size portion but I doubled up an got an extra order. The dipping sauce was magical and very full of flavor and fat. Good find and definitely will be back when I am in the area.

You place your order at a kiosk, someone brings your food to you, and you bus your own table afterward. I usually order the spicy miso, but this time I went with the red ramenand I'm glad I did. The broth was rich and flavorful, the toppings were fresh, and the noodles complemented the broth nicely. I personally prefer my noodles a bit softer and more well-done, though it seems both this location and Cap Hill serve them slightly al dente. That said, I ended up liking the red ramen more than the miso. For some reason, the overall quality of the food here felt even better than at Cap Hill. I'll definitely be coming back. The server was also very friendly and sweet.

The first time I came to Modoo Hansang, I found a long hair in my soup, then a long hair in my rice. I left quickly without finishing much of anything, but the situation was taken care of by the manager. I understand this could just be a bad day, a fluke of sorts... so about 7 months later, I came back to give it another shot. They have a decently extensive menu, and they have a lunch set that is half-sized portions. I got the soondooboo and the galbi lunch set, and it was a good amount of food for one. The side dishes aren't really your traditional side dishes, and they're presented very beautifully. It makes you feel like you're fine dining. The flavor seemed a bit more fusion than traditional. They also give apps like california rolls, salad, and soup. (My gripe is that they should have used a miso dressing instead of an Italian dressing that tastes like it came from a bottle for the salad.) Overall, you order your entree, and you get what feels like a 5 course meal. Went at 1:00 PM on a Saturday, but it wasn't busy at all. Got seated immediately, and there were 2-3 other parties dining as well. Modoo Hansang gets the job done if you're craving a hearty Korean meal~

I can imagine a line out the door during peak hours. I ordered the mushroom soft tofu stew (sundubu-jjigae) + pork bulgogi combo (medium spicy), and my wife ordered the Galbitang. The food arrived 10-15 minutes after ordering, despite three more tables arriving and placing orders around the same time - I noticed they got their food within the same window. This place is efficient. The sundubu-jjigae arrived in a stone pot, broth running surprisingly clear and light for how substantial it tasted. The pork bulgogi came out still sizzling on a cast iron skillet over a wooden board - the kind of presentation that makes the table next to you immediately regret their order. Portion-wise, the pork felt slightly light for a $28 combo relative to everything else on the table. The banchan deserves its own mention: eight-ish dishes - kimchi, bean sprouts, gyeran mari (beautifully golden rolled egg), seasoned greens, braised tofu, pickled daikon, and a couple more I'm still trying to identify. None of it felt like filler - the kind of sides you keep reaching for absentmindedly mid-conversation until they're gone. The rice was a multigrain mix (purple-black grains) rather than plain white, a small detail that signals care for the fundamentals. My wife's galbitang arrived looking like a commitment - massive short rib bones in a rich, clean broth that meant business before you'd even picked up a spoon. She ended up so full we packed the rice and half the dish to go. When your takeout bag solves dinner that evening, that's a PORTION SIZE WIN. One last detail worth calling out: they proactively offered me an apron since I was eating spicy food in a white polo. Small gesture, real thoughtfulness - and apparently aprons are limited, so I appreciated being asked first.
