I ordered the lobster and crab omelet and found it under seasoned and devoid of much lobster or crab. As a whole, I feel like the side pairing of challah toast with jam and butter is an odd choice. I also ordered the iced Thai tea, which was quite weak. Overall--I wasn't really feeling it. When you go to Teaspoon, you're really paying for ambience over quality. There's no issue with the service here, from hosts to wait staff. The food is simply underwhelming, and thus so is the experience. I wouldn't be mad to return, but I don't know if this would ever be my suggestion.

Had the perfect brunch experience here with our group of four. We had about an hour's wait time, so make reservations or join their live waitlist, if possible. We sat inside/outside, right smack in the middle. It was the perfect day for it. I enjoyed a bloody mary and it was tasty! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered chips & salsa and they were great! Chips tasted homemade and perfectly crunchy & lightly salted! They were served with salsa and pico de gallo. The salsa is top notch! Spicy & flavorful! I had their chilaquiles de pollo and they were very flavorful and spicy without being too hot! Will definitely be coming back!

I FINALLY tried this place. I don't really like to wait to eat and I had Monday off so I figured the way it wouldn't be that long. Beautiful restaurant with amazing atmosphere. Our smoothie was not quite blended all the way, but our skillets were AMAZING!! Absolutely recommend the southwest skillet. Great people and awesome food! Give it a try!

Definitely not a place for vegans ! C'mon , can't you add at least 1 vegan meal ? I modified my avocado toast and it STILL had butter & the bread was meh . Ugh My chai latte with oat milk was good but way too sweet for me , it did have a master yummy foam top . My friend said her meal was good but lacked spice . Kinda bland . Service was good but nothing to rave about . Beautiful location & we were seated promptly.

It was a Thursday afternoon, and the restaurant was packed. We were a party of six on the waitlist, but we only waited about five minutes for our table. Since it was a work lunch, we were pleased to sit at a large corner table. However, the noise level inside was quite loud. The menu offered a variety of great choices, ensuring there was something for everyone, which I especially appreciated as a vegetarian. Our waiter, Tito, was fantastic! He was friendly, attentive, and had a wonderful laugh. The food was excellent, and I don't think there were any complaints from anyone in our group. We would all definitely return for brunch again!

Today we decided to give Teaspoon another try. Even on a Monday, we waited about 30 minutes to be seated -- definitely a sign it's a popular spot. This time, the food was delicious. I ordered the filet mignon eggs Benedict. It was very tasty, although the poached egg was slightly overcooked. My husband got the skillet and absolutely loved it. The real star of the show was the Dutch baby -- oh my gosh! That alone is worth coming back for. The service was great, and we sat on the patio, which was lovely. Overall, I'd give this place 4 stars. We'll definitely be back for the Dutch baby and to try a few different dishes next time.

What's Funny is they give you cloth napkins but , no teaspoons! The person bussing the tables brought one glass at a time to set up a table for four . Waiting almost 20 minutes for a table that was empty when we arrived! Restaurant was half empty. And at almost $5 a cup for regular coffee, I understand why and Please, bring me a Teaspoon without me having to ask.

While planning a day trip from Mesa to Tucson, I came across Teaspoon on a "Best Brunch in Tucson" list by Max Wingert via TucsonFoodie.com--and it definitely lived up to the hype. This place is clearly popular. When we arrived, there were quite a few parties waiting, but the overall wait time was only about 10-12 minutes, and we were seated promptly. The service was just as good as the food--our server was kind, helpful, and offered solid recommendations when we asked. As a proud chilaquiles enthusiast, I couldn't resist ordering the Chilaquiles con Pollo: crispy corn tortillas topped with shredded chicken, red sauce, Monterey Jack, crema, avocado, red onion, cilantro, and two sunny-side-up eggs. It was savory, spicy, and absolutely delicious--everything I look for in a good plate of chilaquiles. My boyfriend went with the Dutch Baby, a cast-iron German pancake served with apple, lemon, and local honey. It was beautifully done and full of flavor--though we had to wait a few minutes for it to cool down (cast iron stays hot!) Teaspoon is a cute little gem tucked into the Casa Adobes Plaza with cozy charm, great service, and a menu that's well worth the drive. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Tucson to explore more of what they have to offer!

Teaspoon is a breakfast n lunch bistro in town... I had a Benedict Eggs and Filets with veggies, avocado and potatoes plus ice tea!!! Very classic breakfast and it's busy place to have brunch... Everything came out smooth, fresh eggs and cooked right on and tasty delicious!!! Will recommend when you try to have a stable classic brunch bistro restaurant!!

It was ok. $18 for a breakfast sandwich with two pieces of overcooked burnt bacon. Hard pass. There was a lot of egg on the sandwich but it was so bland. I had to sprinkle salt for almost every bite. The burnt bacon should have helped but it didn't. Came with a friend. The area is cute. We sat outside.

We came here for the first time early Sunday morning. We ordered the breakfast bruschetta to share (skip it!). My husband had the breakfast pizza which he really enjoyed and I had the Filet Mignon Steak Benedict (pictured). On my visits to Tucson I am always looking for such quaint places like Teaspoon , that are no frill yet they offer a great menu with lots of options for adults or kids ! We visited here for brunch and ordered burgers and the bubble waffles and they were both very good ! Although the bubble waffle was a bit sweet for my taste .. overall the ambience is nice , Covid measures are followed to my liking where it doesn't feel too restricted with how you are seated with ample space indoors and outdoors ! I would give this place 6 starts if I could. The food always comes out within 15 minutes and it's always super fresh. The waiters are super friendly and always on point. Sometimes there's a long wait to be seated because it's busy but once you're seated the service is great. read more

Had brunch here a few weeks ago with friends. It was about a 40 minute wait. 10:30 Sunday morning we arrived. The area inside where we were seated was very hot. 85-90. The waiter said the air conditioning was on, but it didn't help much. The food was fantastic! I had the chiquolies and my wife had the French toast. Everything was fresh and flavorful! Our friends were happy with their dishes as well. The food is definitely 5 star. I only downgraded because it was so hot inside, even with air supposedly on. We will return! Food is always really good. I ordered the chilaquiles and they were amazing. We didn't have a reservation so we waited about 20 min and sat at the bar. The bartender was also our server and he seemed very busy. Never checked us we had to get a manager just to close out our check. The service is always a hit or miss for me unfortunately, but the food and drinks make up for some of that. read more

We usually have to wait awhile to get seated but today we were seated right away. Had a nice lunch outside with friends. All of us ordered salads and the blueberry, cucumber salad was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The service was good. Love sitting by the big fountain nearby. We were able to visit outside with any issues hearing. Very nice lunch. Long wait to use the bathroom. This was my first time here and I was a bit iffy about it due to the reviews about "bad service," but don't let that fool you! Give it a chance! Everything was great, the service, the food, the ambience. I have the southwest chicken salad and it was to die for! I recommend this for anyone that wants something refreshing & uplifting. This is my second visit to Teaspoon and it was absolutely as great as the first. I had a southwestern skillet with eggs over medium which was absolutely delicious (pictured). The eggs were cooked perfectly and the iron skillet keeps everything hot. My wife had a vegetable omelette which was also great with a side of fresh pico de gallo. The food here was delicious! Unique creations with a local flair. Waited 30 minutes on a Sunday morning which is expected and not bad. The server was lovely. The only reason for a 3 star review: we were asked to leave rather abruptly and jarringly after just paying our check and had been there for only an hour from when we sat down. Management and staff could use additional customer service training to handle these situations. That isn't an impression you want potential patron customers to leave with. read more

Of three mornings I spent in Tucson I spent two of them here. As a food adventurer when I travel it takes a lot to get two visits. I will be back in Tucson in a week and for sure will visit several times again. First visit I had the Bloody Mary. It was not over done with a ton of not needed topping. Spicy, tomato strong with a definite vodka kick. For brunch I had the Benedict with filet mignon. I did gluten free so had their GS toast instead of English muffin. I can not believe it could have been better. That toast is fantastic. If you are GS make sure you get some to fill your bread craving. The second time I had the Prickly Pear mimosa ( new favorite!) and the CHILAQUILES CON POLLO. Maybe this is a stable in AZ but OMGoodness. Crispy chips, fantastic moist chicken, amazing sauce and yummy fresh toppings. I could only eat about a third of it and since I was flying out that day had to sadly watch the leftovers go away. I will order again next time early so I can get three meals out of it. The service at Teaspoon was very good. Prompt, professional and friendly. I did not get a name but the young lady with the long brown ponytail ( hopefully that helps management know they have someone good) actually remembered me from my previous visit which made Tucson feel a little like home. For sure at some point on my trips that pocket waffle is getting a taste though it may be fighting with the Dutch waffle. Some thing folks are worth me getting a little sick over and if I'm going to eat gluten what a way to go! Thanks Teaspoon for making my visit feel welcomed. read more

What a lovely little place! The place was modern, yet homey, and the ambience was just friendly and relaxing. The food was great as well. I got the Thai tea which was absolutely scrumptious, with the country chicken. There was more than enough food on the plate, and it was also a great portion of chicken! The breading was just right--enough to add some flavor, not too much so as to be heavy. I forget what my s/o ordered, but I do remember clearly that he thought the coffee was exemplary, so another point in their book! The only reason this place wasn't a 5-star was because we had some miscommunications with our waiter. Our waiter was perfectly professional and got everything fixed in the end, but it's always uncomfortable to have to correct your waiter and your bill. read more

Established in 2017.

Teaspoon is a modern brunch eatery opened by two sisters, who come from a family of restauranteurs. Wanting to fulfill a lifelong dream, Mary & Teresa decided to combine their passion for food to open Teaspoon. Each one of them specializes in their own area of cooking; Mary is the baker and specializes in all things flour(pancakes, waffles and did someone say Dutch Baby Apple?!), Teresa, on the other hand, focuses on reinventing food and adding that personal touch. They believe in the saying that {Food is essential to life; therefore make it good.}

As the first person guests interact with, I think a hostess sets the tone for the entire experience, so this was disappointing. On a more positive note, our waitress was very kind and attentive throughout the meal. The service once we were seated was definitely better than the initial impression. As for the food, it wasn't bad, but it also wasn't anything special, especially considering the price. Overall, it felt pretty average for what we paid. The ambiance was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the experience was okay, but between the lack of hospitality at the front and the food being average for the price, I'm not sure I would go out of my way to come back.

I've sat on this review for 22 days as we deal with breakthrough infections of the Delta variant that commenced two days after our visit when we had 11 to 13 interactions with a server who was the only one with a "mask." It barely covered her mouth, not her nose. We cannot rate the food as it came to us completely cooled off. Only 9 tables had people and there were 3 others servers running around serving everyone quickly. Our server didn't return our check and had no name tag, but I thought nothing of it. Then Pima County called us and wanted to know where we'd been the 4 or 5 days prior and we told them the only interaction we had was with her 3 weeks later we are getting tested a 3rd time. Been quarantined and a bit sick. I hope we test negative today, but my lungs still aren't right so we'll see. That's our experience and it's safe to say we choose to be safe and not eat out for a while. read more

I recently dined at this restaurant and unfortunately experienced inconsistent service. Despite one waitress enforcing a no outside drinks policy, another table was littered with Starbucks cups. After being told the wait is 35-40 minutes, after 45 minutes we were then told the wait was another 40 minutes for our group of 3. Had I Known I would not have eaten here. I won't be back. read more

Mimosa used fresh squeezed orange juice and are delicious. Food is outstanding and the service was fast and nice. They are very accommodating. Will def come again. read more

I think it's my new favorite breakfast spot in all of Tucson. The staff is beyond friendly, and the food is excellent and not to mention their dog friendly. read more
