Food is always really good. I ordered the chilaquiles and they were amazing. We didn't have a reservation so we waited about 20 min and sat at the bar. The bartender was also our server and he seemed very busy. Never checked us we had to get a manager just to close out our check. The only reason for a 3 star review: we were asked to leave rather abruptly and jarringly after just paying our check and had been there for only an hour from when we sat down. The restaurant itself is so cute but the food is absolutely incredible. My boyfriend and I were so impressed with not only the food but the service as well. This is my second visit to Teaspoon and it was absolutely as great as the first. I had a southwestern skillet with eggs over medium which was absolutely delicious (pictured). The eggs were cooked perfectly and the iron skillet keeps everything hot. My wife had a vegetable omelette which was also great with a side of fresh pico de gallo. Of three mornings I spent in Tucson I spent two of them here. As a food adventurer when I travel it takes a lot to get two visits. I will be back in Tucson in a week and for sure will visit several times again. First visit I had the Bloody Mary. It was not over done with a ton of not needed topping. Spicy, tomato strong with a definite vodka kick. For brunch I had the Benedict with filet mignon. I did gluten free so had their GS toast instead of English muffin. I can not believe it could have been better. That toast is fantastic. If you are GS make sure you get some to fill your bread craving. The second time I had the Prickly Pear mimosa ( new favorite!) and the CHILAQUILES CON POLLO. Maybe this is a stable in AZ but OMGoodness. Crispy chips, fantastic moist chicken, amazing sauce and yummy fresh toppings. I could only eat about a third of it and since I was flying out that day had to sadly watch the leftovers go away. I will order again next time early so I can get three meals out of it. The service at Teaspoon was very good. Prompt, professional and friendly. I did not get a name but the young lady with the long brown ponytail ( hopefully that helps management know they have someone good) actually remembered me from my previous visit which made Tucson feel a little like home. For sure at some point on my trips that pocket waffle is getting a taste though it may be fighting with the Dutch waffle. The hostess was terrible to us this morning. We called on the way there to get on the wait list because there's always a long wait. She told me on the phone it was "a 15 minute wait right now" and refused to put me on the waitlist. We arrived 5 minutes later and she said wait was now "30 -35 minutes" suddenly. I pointed out to her that she told me on the phone the wait was 15 minutes, and she now further lied saying "well it was a 20 minute wait when you called." Yet another discrepancy. We left and went somewhere else to eat this morning, so I hope management sees this review. You lost business because of this hostess this morning. And we are locals who frequent the restaurant quite often. Will not be returning. read more

If you see a negative review on this same day, there were some Karens at the restaurant demanding that a door be kept closed even though they use it to bring food to the patrons outside. What a lovely little place! The place was modern, yet homey, and the ambience was just friendly and relaxing. The food was great as well. I got the Thai tea which was absolutely scrumptious, with the country chicken. There was more than enough food on the plate, and it was also a great portion of chicken! The breading was just right--enough to add some flavor, not too much so as to be heavy. I forget what my s/o ordered, but I do remember clearly that he thought the coffee was exemplary, so another point in their book! The only reason this place wasn't a 5-star was because we had some miscommunications with our waiter. I thought this would be a great experience based in some feedback from a colleague. Unfortunatley, I was disappointed. You would think that a brunch place would have a big list of fancy coffees and teas, but no dice. The Sausage and Peppers skillet was also disappointing...sausage had no flavor, peppers consisted on red pepper only, and no onions or flavor and the potatoes seemed to be out of a freezer bag. I brought half home to see if it was just me, but leftovers ended up in the trash because they were bland. I would have expected fresh cut potatoes, a more artisinal flair for a brunch place....likely won't be back. A big miss. read more

This had been a favorite spot for girls brunch until our last experience here. Teaspoon is quaint, has decent food and a nice atmosphere; but I am left so disappointed after our last visit. As a party of 4 on a Sunday morning we got seated relatively quickly. 3 of us ordered the bottomless mimosa deal ($35 for an entree under $15 + bottomless mimosas). We placed our food order, which is where the trouble began. One of the girls ordered the herb French toast, which on the menu, states it comes with sunny side up eggs. It arrived with no eggs. When we asked our server she said the eggs could be ordered as a separate side, and returned with scrambled eggs. Our server disappeared after our food arrived which was inconvenient, as someone in our party needed to leave after eating but couldn't find our server to pay her bill. About 10 minutes after everyone was finished eating, our server returned with everyone's checks. Which is where he next problem begins... I ordered the steak omelette and was served two "bottomless" mimosas and was charged $35 + tax. If I had ordered the steak omelette ($14) and two mimosas ($6.50 each) I would have paid less. I should have said something then and there, but we were now in a rush to go at this point, as I said our server was no where to be found for half our dining experience. I truly wish this wasn't the case with Teaspoon because it had so much potential, but this last visit was such a let down. read more

This restaurant had great service and wonderful staff. The food was really good. I loved that they have Vietnamese Coffee because it's amazing and so few places have it in Tucson. Had a wonderful experience here and the price is fair. It's a bonus that they allow dogs outside in the patio area as our dogs often get left out on Sunday breakfast. Went to teaspoon for brunch while visiting a friend for the holidays. I ordered the sausage & peppers skillet. It was a good amount of food but underwhelming at best. The peppers & sausage could've stand to be cooked a bit longer. The challah vanilla bean French toast with a side of the English clotted cream. That combination was to die for!
