I ordered them from Lunchdrop which we use at my job. Every day we can log in and there are 4 vendors we can order from with delivery included. This day it was Teague. I had previously ordered from another vendor last week for a stuffed baked potato but their's didn't match up with the one from here. When it arrived it was as big as the other one but it was of better quality. The potato was cooked perfectly and my ingredients were sent in separate containers. It had sour cream, cheese, butter and green onions. My topping was brisket with a side of bbq sauce to go on top. Omg it was delicious! I was visiting my grandmother in Spring last weekend and wanted BBQ so we went to Teague's because it was right up the street. Upon our first steps into the restaurant the owner was very welcoming. The hospitality was remarkable and the touch of Mr. Teague's football career displayed on the wall was interesting. The food was very tasty and did not disappoint. The pineapple pudding was the first time I had ever heard of such a thing and it was so good. The best way to describe it was like banana pudding except with pineapples. This was some pretty decent bbq. The yams were the tastiest of this meal. Who ever made it made that all with love. The greens were okay. The cornbread was decent. The sausage was okay. I didn't care for the ribs. The ribs were tough. I hardly ever order ribs from anywhere because most times they're tough. I was disappointed because I asked if the meat was fall off the bone tender. Bbq sauce tasted decent. My sides were better than my bbq. Place was very clean and the staff was nice. I really wanted to love this place based on other reviews from a food group I'm in. Our Fathers Day celebration was catered by Teague's. I was so delicious! The meat was smoked to perfection! Juicy ,tender wanting more!

Just moved to the area and wanted to check the place out. To all the people reading reviews, check out the newer ones as my experience is much more in line with them. I will say the place is spotlessly clean. First, the young lady at the front was very polite and helpful throughout the dinner. She was great with my daughter and was fine when she wanted to take a picture of her with her tablet. She was the highlight of the meal. She was even cordial when she realized they put the sauce on the meat when she knew I asked for it on the side. She took it back and seemed to get attitude from whoever messed up in the kitchen. She still came back with a smile on her face. I had the three meat plate: brisket, sausage and turkey with bake sand green beans with an added side of fried okra, and the cornbread. Brisket - very lean and no flavor / bark, sliced so thin I'm guessing it was done in an oven Sausage - good, but super finely ground so no texture or snap at all Turkey - bland, no smoke flavor at all again oven and tasted like it was reheated in a microwave Green and baked beans - both were excellent Okra - best food of the night, perfectly fried and tasty Cornbread - had all the stuff to be good but was hard and reheated Sauce - pretty good, on the sweet side Overall I wouldn't go back though this place might just be better suited for catering as they seem to advertise that a LOT. read more

We've all experienced that dreadful moment when all you can taste in barbecue is saltiness, but this bbq was decently-seasoned. I ordered take-out due to the coronavirus pandemic still going on. The smoked sausage was tasteful and it accommodated well with their sweet bbq sauce. The smoked chicken and pork ribs were juicy, but the briskets were kinda dry and hardened. The side dishes were mediocre at best and I certainly want to warn whomever to avoid the jalapeño cornbread. It was dryer than the Sahara desert and just sad. I wanted to love this BBQ, I had read such great reviews about it but the truth is, the meat was really dry. There wasn't enough sauce to really moisten it up with my to-go order. The potato was huge and it was good but again, not enough sauce. I will say the sides were good. I had coke slaw and sweet potatoes with my Brisket and Turkey platter. A quick google search and it's ratings/reviews took us to Teaques where we met Belinda who is super sweet and very helpful. Our two teenagers ordered the POUND hamburgers and ate them like wild jackals. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich which came topped with some excellent coke slaw. A perfect combination. After she slapped my hands from picking at her food soo much, I started on my two meat combo which I chose ribs and brisket. Both are holy shit amazing! The sauce is excellent and I complimented these with a big helping of potato salad and collard greens which, again, were holy shit good. 1st timer. I really enjoy supporting small businesses/family run. You get the whole family feel as soon as you enter. Motown music that fills the air to the pleasant smell of smoked meats exiting the kitchen to tease you while you order. Got a chance to meet the owner while we were eating and you can tell that man has a passion for cooking. Location is on a strip mall (next yo a gas station, Jacqui Cleaners and a medical plaza) on Spring Steubner, past Rhodes, etc heading east toward I-45. Place was empty but clean and well-kept. Ordered loaded baked potato with brisket, and two, two-meat plates (brisket and ribs; brisket and sausage). Three sides came with each of the latter - ordered baked beans, candied yam and jalapeño corn bread, and an order of French fries as an extra ($2.95 for a mod-sized tub). Service was quick, but matter-of-fact, no warm greeting or other small talk. Food was delivered quickly. Prices were reasonable. $45 incl taxes and tips. Portion size was ample...brisket and sausage were decent/tasty but not spectacular. Ribs were chewy, fries were soggy and the cornbread was inedible - very dry and tasteless, had to throw away. Quite disappointed with these. Candied yams and baked beans were about average. Not impressed overall - SouthernQ on Kuykendahl is still the best in the area, IMO. I order the 4 meat plate and the food wasn't really worth all the money I spent. It was my 1st time and I was super hungry. OK I had the four meat plate which consists of one piece of rib a chicken wing, with a chicken breast attached to it, sausage and brisket. OK instead of banana pudding they had this thing called pineapple pudding it wasn't bad it was just very different but it wasn't nothing that stayed on my mind. The peach cobbler I don't know who made that but they could've kept it. The potato salad was really disappointing and it had no flavor but at least they look good. I loved the greens the seasoning was perfect and it was good if I had to say the best thing there it would be the greens and the sausage and my experience the staff was very nice and it didn't take forever to get my food. Oh I can't forget the yams they were too sweet I couldn't enjoy them but if I would've ate them I probably would've been in a diabetic coma. All in all I wish it could have been a hit for me. But the 2 food trucks around the corner are 10 times better. Good spot to have some local BBQ. It's located at the middle of Meadowhill plaza among other shops . Inside is very clean with options to dine in seating or take out. The wall art is fill with autograph professional basketball and football players. In addition fans from NASA they catered. The menu has various meat options for sandwiches and dinner plates. In addition to family options with various sides depending on the amount of pounds of meat. My wife had the Bbq Chicken with beans, collar green, and corn bread. My mother in law had this loaded potato with beef brisket, chives, and bbq sauce drizzy. I was able to sample three meats the chicken, rib and brisket. I particularly enjoyed the brisket since it was lean, easy to break off, and good portion. Service was nice and helpful. Overall I would come back for the brisket and loaded potato. read more
