    empanadas de solomillo de ternera
    Victoria W.

visited on a saturday evening. we walked in and was asked to sit at the bar (i'm assuming the empty seats were held for reservations) i asked the waitress if this was the past plane and level since the menu was very similar but condensed. she confirmed that meson sommelier is a rebrand of it. we ordered a few dishes: pan gallego (bread) , empanadas de solomillo de ternera, magret de pato (duck) , and costilla estofada al vino (braised ribs) the food was really good overall - however with the current portion and pricing i don't think it was worth it. when i came early 2024, the duck dish was at least 4 times the current size. just take a look at my photo, 4 small pieces at the size of the fork - essentially 4 bites for 25 dollars. i understand there's inflation - but i don't think the difference in quantity should be that drastic. they mentioned that everything on the menu was shareable family dishes - but everything was so small, it doesn't really seem like it's suppose to be shared.

Happy to have stopped in Meson in Old Town Spring. Great service. Enjoyed a cold glass of Cava Rose' and delicious tapas. Highly recommend!

The only alcohol they serve is wine. They have very good wines, but again expensive. I would love this place if they had a happy hour special and if they had other spirits, maybe in mini-airplane sized bottles. Overall, great little gem, but maybe for a fancy night out.

We really enjoyed the aviation theme, which they pulled off as unique and cohesive without feeling tacky. The interior has a relaxing ambiance, but very limited seating. It's reminiscent of a classy airport lounge, with classical guitar music playing in the background; but there's only about 4-5 table tops while the rest is bar seating. I would recommend making a reservation to ensure a seat. Our food came out more quickly than expected. I had to ask to be served water, which was a little surprising given that the service was otherwise good. Our waitress told us that the paella takes 35 minutes to make but we ordered the Paella de Mariscos for our table and not only did it come out very quickly, but it became everyone's favorite dish. I'd still advise you to order this first if this is something you want to try. Aside from the paella, the portions are understandably small since this is tapas, but we left feeling satiated. Because this is located in Old Town Spring, there is an entire parking lot as well as street parking, but finding a spot can be a hit or a miss in the summertime. Surprised to say that their bathroom is very cute and clean (walls are plastered with sheet music). Also know that there are huge West-facing windows here, which give this already small place a bright and open feel - but made our table very, VERY warm since we were having dinner as the summer sun was setting. This is an excellent establishment for special occasions, but think about bringing a small fan if you plan on visiting on a summer evening. - Ambiance: 5/5 - Drinks: 5/5 - Food: 4.5/5 - Service: 4/5

I expected an upscale, warm, romantic, cozy atmosphere which was the description I read. The prices are upscale but that's the extend of it. The restaurant inside is a bar with some tables scattered around. It didn't exude a warm or romantic vibe. The pictures make it look like it's on a nice piece of land with great views but it's just on a street among other businesses and there's a yard area. We ordered an appetizer, which was tasty. I think it was crab rangoon, honestly I forget but I do recall it was good. My husband has chicken parmigiana and I had a pizza. The chicken dish was good. The sauce was good and the chicken was juicy. My pizza, while it tasted good and the ingredients were fresh, was burnt on the bottom. I also would've liked the spinach to be placed by the sauce and cheese so it could cook a bit instead of on top...it was a little dry. I'd say give it a try but definitely be prepared for a more casual than romantic dinner and a higher price point.

You'll never have a bad plate here I've been coming here since they opened and I love that they are always changing the menu.

Shortly a server came by and when I told her I was waiting for someone, she was so sweet and offered to get me something to drink while I waited. Within about five minutes, two or three other team members also stopped by to check on me, which I thought was great. It really showed that they are attentive to their guests. The indoor seating area has a cool, relaxed vibe, and I sat in a comfortable booth. I also loved the wall decorated with hat. They specialize in a variety of bruschetta boards, which is what I was most excited to try. Some of the bruschetta options were just okay on their own, and I think a little balsamic reduction or a drizzle of olive oil would have added more flavor. My recommendations are the Sweet & Spicy Pepper Jam with Goat Cheese and the Burrata Bruschetta with arugula and tomatoes. Soooo good! The wines were amazing, and I loved that I was able to sample a few before deciding what to order. Overall, I think Postino is a great spot for a girls' night, catching up with friends, or just enjoying a chill evening out. I would definitely come back!

The neo modern interior is stylish and chic. Our group opted for the 10 course Chef's table tasting menu with wine pairings. The Chef's table is in a semi private space right in front of the kitchen, separated from the main dinning room by curtains. It was fun to watch the kitchen in action, but the area felt a bit warm at times. Presentation was definitely one of the highlights of the evening. Each dish arrived in uniquely designed serve ware and each wine was presented in a different glass. The ingredients were top-notch, featuring Hokkaido scallops, Wagyu beef, yellowfin tuna, etc. That said, while some dishes highlighted the Indian flavors we were expecting, others leaned more towards American fusion. The wine pairing complemented each dish well and the sommelier provided detailed explanations for each wine. My favorite dishes of the night were the chaat and the lamb chop. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and appreciated the quality of the ingredients, the service and presentation. However I wish there's more emphasis on the Indian flavors. Based on the glimpse of the flavors we experienced in some of the courses, I suspect I might enjoy a simple bowl of vindaloo or curry from their regular menu more.

Well, the first time we were having ice cream at Handel's and was drawn in by how amazing the food smelled. We placed an order at the hostess stand. The young lady was great. My father in law like to makes people laugh at any opportunity. She was so much fun, she even made jokes as a reply. It's nice to see someone who is lighthearted and personable. The second time I ordered was through Yelp using Grub hub. I ordered crawfish as a part of my order. Shortly after placing the order, I received a call from the GM to notify me that they are no longer selling crawfish as it's out of season. He quickly offered to substitute, which I quickly opted for the beef taquitos. Shorty after the call, my order arrived. The food was exceptional! 5/5 Charro Beans- A must try if you like any type of beans. The flavor was so delicious and well developed. 5/5- Guacamole- freshly made to order! It was so fresh, no need to add a thing, we just opened it and enjoyed. Every element was so fresh, from the tomatoes, to the cilantro and lime. 5/5- Wings- Where should I begin? I ordered the lemon pepper/hot with the crema dipping sauce. They were cooked perfectly, not over or under cooked...simply perfect. 5/5- Beef taquitos- Delicious, the beef was flavorful and will be an item I order every time I visit. The addition of the toppings complete the perfect bite. Lettuce tomato and crema coupled with the perfectly fried tortilla was outstanding.

I know. "Fine dining" and burgers? But that's what I wanted. I searched the web and found the Chefs Table in Vintage Park, and it wasn't too far from us here in The Woodlands, so we decided to make reservations and head there. From the moment we entered, we were treated like special guests. The ambiance is rich, but not overdone or stuffy. Simply classic and relaxing. Our booth felt private and unhindered by conversations of nearby diners or wait staff bustling past. Our cocktails were perfect. The calimari we ordered as an appetizer was probably the most tender and delicious either of us have ever had. And when our burgers arrived, I was so happy. It was exactly what I had set my mind on when selecting my birthday dinner experience. The blend of brisket and chuck was absolutely delicious, set atop a perfectly buttered toasted bun, with some crispy onion straws on top. And the fries... oh my! I rarely if ever eat fried food - so clearly this was my big day to completely go off my standard fare, but those fries had the perfect crunch and flavor. Apparently, when my husband made our resv, he told them it was my birthday, so our server brought out a delightful complimentary spiced cake dessert after we were finished eating - for us to share. It was the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Thank you to the entire staff at The Chefs Table yesterday, for helping to create a memorable and delicious birthday feast for my husband and me. We will definitely be back to try some other delights because the menu is packed full of amazing looking dishes.

We were seated in a booth that felt quite cramped for a business meeting. Next time, we'd likely request a more open, well-lit table. We ordered several dishes, but the Chilean sea bass was disappointing. It was dry, lacked the buttery texture it's known for, and was quite bland. We also requested a side of hot sauce, but that request was overlooked. To end the meal, we planned to order coffee and toffee instead of dessert. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, we were told the coffee machine had broken. Unfortunately, by then the server seemed eager to wrap things up and didn't really give us the opportunity to consider any other after-meal options. Overall, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and we can see why it's popular, but the food execution and service fell short of our expectations, especially for a business lunch. We hope these issues were just an off day, as we'd like to give it another chance.
