Top notch! I've ordered takeout here twice and both times were an excellent experience. Why excellent, you much ask? Well, the first time we were having ice cream at Handel's and was drawn in by how amazing the food smelled. We placed an order at the hostess stand. The young lady was great. My father in law like to makes people laugh at any opportunity. She was so much fun, she even made jokes as a reply. It's nice to see someone who is lighthearted and personable. The second time I ordered was through Yelp using Grub hub. I ordered crawfish as a part of my order. Shortly after placing the order, I received a call from the GM to notify me that they are no longer selling crawfish as it's out of season. He quickly offered to substitute, which I quickly opted for the beef taquitos. Shorty after the call, my order arrived. The food was exceptional! 5/5 Charro Beans- A must try if you like any type of beans. The flavor was so delicious and well developed. 5/5- Guacamole- freshly made to order! It was so fresh, no need to add a thing, we just opened it and enjoyed. Every element was so fresh, from the tomatoes, to the cilantro and lime. 5/5- Wings- Where should I begin? I ordered the lemon pepper/hot with the crema dipping sauce. They were cooked perfectly, not over or under cooked...simply perfect. 5/5- Beef taquitos- Delicious, the beef was flavorful and will be an item I order every time I visit. I rate restaurants on 4 core values which is Customer Service, Taste of food, Price & Cleanliness. Service - Is good. Our waiter did his best to make sure we were taken care of. Taste - food is beyond delicious, love the ranchero black beans. Best beans we have had besides our moms. Value - worth the money, the music being played while we eat is on point to my type of music. We went and had dinner here last night before a movie.. We got there about 45 minutes before closing but you would never have known. We were greeted by multiple staff members and were sat. Or server, Celeste, was an absolute joy. She was friendly, helpful, and very enthusiastic, even with us coming in late. We ordered the beef taquitos as an appetizer and the pastor and carne asada tacos. The food was delicious, as was the Paloma and the michelada. I felt the pricing was reasonable as well for the amount of food that we got. Highly recommend people go give them a shot. read more

I was so excited for this place to reopen after its mysterious opening and then quick closure last year. We went for a late Lunch on Sunday. Place was fairly empty but super cute! Hipster looking but not in a bad way. Sat down quickly but it took an unusual amount of time to be greeted. Someone came unceremoniously dropped off two waters for me and my husband and two kid waters for my kids. Great! Waited some more... Finally our server came. I asked her a question and quickly realized she had zero idea what I was saying and knew very little English. We finally ordered kids quesadilla and kids taco and 2 margaritas - frozen Mexican candy and a Magonada Martini. A long while later (again, lots of staff standing around talking and just a few customers) a man finally delivered two additional kids drinks (which we didn't need because my kids already had water and we didn't order anything else for them) and the two margaritas. I looked at the one he set down for me and it was on the rocks. I asked him what it was and he looked confused - so i mentioned that I had ordered a frozen drink. He said 'we don't have frozen' i was frustrated they didn't mention this when i ordered but i asked if it was still the Mexican Candy margarita. He quickly said yes (but didn't seem sure at all) then he walked away. Um, ok... (they have a few of the same drinks frozen or on the rock) So we drank. Mine was way too sweet and I didn't love it - my husband liked his. Finally the waitress came back and we ordered two tapas: ceviche and pork belly bites. They came out super quick (thankfully) and were pretty good. My kids got their food too - the beef taco was steak not ground like the waitress had said and though it was good, it was way too spicy for my daughter. The cheese quesadilla was plain and good for my other daughter who likes plain things. Kids meals come with rice, beans, and a churro. Beans were good. Rice was bland. My kids loved their churros. We ordered a second drink. Since i didn't like mine I said I wanted my husband's drink and pointed at it. A few min later I got a drink that looked like the one I just finished - i told the server that brought it that it was wrong and without saying anything else, he took it back. There was some discussion near the bar but then a few more min later we got another one that didn't look like the one I had had or the one my husband had - so we asked which drink it was again it didn't seem like he either understood my question or didn't know. After some questions - it turns out they had switched the drinks initially and they had brought out two wrong ones. Not sure how it got so discombobulated but we ended up drinking what was in front of us again and they were not bad - didn't taste like either of the ones we had previously and were still a bit sweet for us. Overall the communication is super tough and you seem to be at the mercy of the bartender for drinks - hopefully you like surprises! I would go back for the food after the kinks are worked out and customer service is better. read more

So I would say this place has the potential to be fabulous but I had a few issues. We ordered the Queso Blanco and didn't get a Fresh batch of chips and they said they ran out of chips and our full bowl of Queso went cold. Also we ordered fajitas and it took FOREVER!!!!!!!!! The drinks were small but tasty. Overall if your doing a dinner and a movie you will need to find a beetle food option, drinks weren't refilled it was just not a good experience. HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF CHIPS? The food tasted great but we also had to wait for the rice and beans whiles our fajitas sat and got cold. Additionally the manager did come talk to us about our issues. Several of us have been here 3 times. Love the ambience. Really wanted to like this place but service was not good at all! I tried to justify that it's young staff trying to learn and work, but then I found out that the manager was there and was surprised that Service was so still so poor. We had to walk to the kitchen, several times to ask someone to come, clean off our table, or give us a bucket for crawfish, 2-3 works were back there on their cell phones. Someone in our party went to the bathroom, and one of the workers was leaning against the wall with her feet crossed on her cell phone. We will no longer go here and would not recommend you. We've been here a few times and each time the staff were extremely attentive and aware of any potential delay in drinks or food. We waited a bit for our drinks and one entree this last visit and they immediately apologized and were even kind enough to comp our drinks given the wait. We love the ambiance and the food. This place has really gone downhill. The service has always been terrible but I've been hoping that it would turn around because the food is good. Tonight we tried again and it was a terrible experience. The waiters always act so confused when you're ordering and today was no different. The drinks we ordered were the worst I've ever had. They had to be sent back and I haven't done that in 10 plus years. The waiter took our order then 5 min later asked if we are ready to order. He had 2 tables. Our visit was such a mixed bag of great highs and terrible lows. That it averages out to 2.5 stars. So the ambience was bad. It was very loud considering me and my five member family were the only guests at the time. The whole restaurant is an open space that's all hard surfaces, so the loud music echoes in a really awful way. Service was really bad. They sat us as far away from the bar and kitchen as possible (despite being the only guest). Our server seemed to be a host that had to fill in for an emergency. She didn't appear to have any experience with guest relationships nor did she seem to be old enough to serve alcohol. We had a difficult time asking for things since she seemed to want to spend as little time at the table as possible. Very inhospitable. The bartender came over a few times to help out or bring us something. He seemed nice and hospitable, but didn't appear to speak much English, so we didn't speak to him a lot since none us speak Spanish. Drinks were pretty good. They were out of a few things we tried to order, like Dr Pepper. I got a pina colada and it was the best one I've ever had, topped with a pineapple triangle. Absolutely fantastic. My mother got a tequila martini of sorts. She didn't know it had a chili rim, or she wouldn't have gotten it, and it was made worse by the fact that there looked like there was half a teaspoon of chili salt in the drink itself. We also would have appreciated a more detailed list of liquors and beers available instead of just a list of cocktails. Food was very hit or miss. The quesadillas were amazing and had a good amount of meet and cheese in them. The pastor taco with pineapple was some of the best I've had. But the guacamole was depressing. It has in a tiny bowl that fit in the palm of my hand and tasted like it came out of a bag, despite its high price point. The tres leches cake tastes like licking the inside of a refrigerator. Whether they make it in house or not, it should be stored properly. While some of the food was quite tasty and fresh to see on a menu, the prices in general seemed a little high. Most items could probably be a couple dollars cheaper, especially given the service and atmosphere. Not a terrible experience, but none of us plan on returning. read more

The flautas are to die for! I have been craving them since I went going to have to make sure I go by again! The hibiscus Paloma is refreshing and just sweet enough also tried the Mexican candy margarita and felt like I was a child a over again drinking a childhood sweet. Two strikes and it's an out! Been to Fuego's during their first opening and now during their re-opening. It was mediocre the first time and just plain bad now. Had the taco trio - Carne asada, Camaron frito, and pastor with beans and rice. The carne asada taco was ICE COLD. The pork in the pastor taco was dehydrated, like it had been under a heat lamp all day and it was also ICE COLD. The fried shrimp (camaron frito) taco was tasty, but only had two shrimp in the taco. Like the other food, the beans and rice were ICE COLD. Did not eat the carne asada nor pastor tacos, just left them on the plate. Saw several other patrons also cover their food and leave. This is a horrible restaurant business model and should close for good... read more

The bar has a great selection of top shelf signature drinks and the atmosphere is great! This restaurant is not your typical texmex restaurant. Unfortunately the food was either heavy on the salt or none at all. We ordered the shrimp quesadilla & the shrimp tasted boiled with no seasoning, the tacos of Carnitas were extremely salty. The meat was overcooked, bits of the burnt meat were thrown in as if we wouldn't notice. We informed the waitress and some of the food was removed from the bill. We ordered a frozen margarita & received a half frozen one as they said the margaritas were not frozen yet (then why serve it?). The charro beans were good. Its a great location and we were really excited to try it but it seems we wont be returning. read more

This place is meh. It has a lot of potential, but is lacking in some areas. The food is pretty good but can be overly salty. I'm not a big fan of their salsas but their tacos are tasty. The service is okay/slow at times. The layout and ambiance seem to be an issue here. The dining room is one big open room with bright lights. It echos badly, and for whatever reason, every time we go, kids are running around like crazy! We have young kids, too, so we definitely get it, but it's like people just let their kids run amuck here for some reason. We've had kids come up to our table trying to talk to and play with our kids while trying to eat, and parents not doing anything about it. Another time, kids were acting so wild and loud and making a huge mess at the table-yet again, the parents didn't seem to care. The servers were visibly frustrated and complaining after this group left. Every visit, there are kids just running around in general. It's not relaxing and makes our kids want to join/has them thinking this place is okay for that. We all manage to stay in our seats, but it's just not a pleasant dining experience. I think some kind of dividers to create sections would be helpful, or booths down the middle...Something like this would help with the echo and overall ambiance. Keeping this place from being one giant room might help keep kids from running around as crazy and parents just allowing it. Some softer lighting might be helpful, too. I know there's only so much the restaurant can do, but we find it odd that we don't notice this at other regular restaurants. We dine out as a family often. read more
