Flew into Houston from California and landed hungry! You cannot go to Texas and not have some good BBQ so loaded up Yelp as soon as I got off the plane and settled for Fire Craft BBQ.. The employees were helpful on answering my questions and I ended up ordering a brisket sandwich with mustard potato salad. In the dining area there was BBQ sauce which had a great flavor. The meal came out quickly and was what PERFECT smoked brisket should taste like. I was in Heaven! Often when you ask for lean you get a dry meat and this was not only very lean but also not dry whatsoever. It was nice and tender. The smoke flavor was perfect as well. I ate some plain and some with the BBQ sauce on it and honestly it was great both ways. Service was also great. An employee came by regularly to make sure we did not need anything and then a man who I'm pretty sure is the owner came by as well to make sure we were happy with our meal... which we were. I will be back in Houston in February and I know exactly where I will be eating when I get off that plane! Thanks for an amazing dinner.

Originally starting as a food truck (which is still operating), this first brick-n-mortar location of Fire Craft BBQ is located in Kingwood, TX, serving up Texas style Pit-smoked BBQ. I got carryout to bring back for dinner, and found the meat and sides to be good, though a bit expensive. Brisket (1 LB) - $36 - thickly cut, choice of moist, lean, or both. We got both. I had to try it immediately after we got it, to see if it had that OMG taste when the beef 'butter' is still dripping from the meat, when it is impossibly moist but still has great texture. This wasn't it. Wasn't sure if it had been pre-cut, or the brisket hadn't been kept warm properly, but parts of it was quite dry. I later ate some pieces closer to the vein of fat, and it was better. I did need a bit of bbq sauce as well. It was seasoned very well, and the quality of the beef (exclusively from Goodstock by Nolan Ryan) was obviously very good. Smoked Turkey (1/2 LB) - $14 - Very moist with good texture. Got 3 sides: Brussels Sprouts ($16 for 32oz) - it had been prepared well and tasted fine. I'm confident that it would have tasted amazing fresh out of the roasting oven, but it's hard to maintain that. Thus it tasted more like normal, steamed brussels sprouts. Dirty Rice ($16 for 32oz) - well made, with plenty of ground beef mixed in with the moist (almost wet) rice. Went really well with the brisket. Baked Beans ($16 for 32oz) - non-descript. No meat. Tasted fine, but not much better than what you can get from good canned baked beans. Was able to pay using Apple Pay, and the order was ready within 10 minutes. It was more than enough food for the three of us.

    Delicious Brisket!

What a great BBQ place in Kingwood! We have heard about it from several friends, but just tried it yesterday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was excellent and the environment was warm and welcoming![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great location off of Kingwood drive, and fairly close to Hwy 59. We are pretty much BBQ snobs and this place definitely passed the test for us! Delicious Brisket! We will be regular customers. Give them a try!

This was the MOST AMAZING BBQ I've EVER HAD!!! Everything is made from scratch every day other dry seasoning we met the owner. He gave us a sample of the smoked turkey, which was so ridiculously good. He gave us a piece of these chicken. Also, the brisket is so tender and I ordered the taco best thing I've ever had. They were also smoking brie wheels for a catering order. Everything we had was amazing. We will definitely be back.

4 skinny ribs, 3 pieces of turkey, half a link of sausage, 3 fatty slices of brisket = $55.00 Yay, food for the whole family. Haha! Lame.
    Michelle T.

The food is always good at Fire Craft but what happened to serving size? We spent $55.00 on meat only. We received 3 slices of brisket, 3 slices of turkey, 8 slices of sausage, and 4 ribs! We had just gone to Goode Company two days ago. Spent less and received 5 times the amount of food. We even had 4 sides and two drinks. Same thing at Gatlin's Barbecue. So much more meat and sides and drinks for less money. Maybe Fire Craft needs to train employees on correct service of meat or they are just holding back on customers. Too many barbecue places to make this mistake.

So I generally do not like BBQ because it never tastes good or the meat is dry. Well I am so happy I went here. The brisket was so tender and the jalapeño sausage was spicy and delicious. When I return to Houston I will definitely be back to try some of their other items.

Visited this BBQ joint while in TX visiting friends. You order at the counter and they give you a number and they bring it to your table when its done. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a large dining area inside however it was really warm and sticky inside. It didn't feel like the AC was even on[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. The iced tea and lemonade were really warm - even with a full cup of ice, my lemonade didn't actually get cold until I was done with it! As far as the food goes, we tried a few different meats and sides. The brisket was really good and so was the cheddar jalapeno sausage. I wasn't a fan of their ribs - very fatty. The sides were very generous portions! The mac and cheese was very rich and tasty and the jalapeno corn spoonbread was my favorite! The owner was very friendly - he offered us free samples while we waited to order and checked in on us a few times. I'd recommend this place to folks in the area.

Usually in a restaurant, there are selections I like, some not so much. But I honestly can't say that about Fire Craft BBQ. Literally, everything I ordered was better than I expected! The brisket was perfect, the mustard potato salad was great, and the cole slaw was outstanding! Friends complimented their selections as well: Cowboy tri cut, pulled pork, cornbread, and baked beans. The staff is outstanding as well... they must have dropped by the table 4 or 5 times to make sure everything was great and offer take home boxes. I've found my new favorite BBQ place!

Well, I just gave up after holding on the phone for 10 minutes for Savannah to make an order for pick up! I had ordered over the phone before and it took 3 minutes at that time to take my order, however when I got there to pick up, I was asked to get in line to pay and then it seems that they went to put my order together because it took 10 minutes after I paid to get it! The food was actually good! Today, I was planning on clarifying those delay issues when placing my order, but in light of the fact that they didn't come back on the phone, I think I'll give them longer to get their stuff together. Will have to drive a bit farther to Corkscrew BBQ for some quality BBQ!

We went there for the first time and they really delivered on superb brisket. Potato salad tasted a little commercialized. Great staff!

We've been coming here as a family for a while, so trust me when I say the food is ALWAYS amazing--but when they catered my son's high school graduation party?? They did NOT come to play. The food? Soul-healing, plate-licking... They handled everything flawlessly, and the setup matched the restaurant's elegant vibe . It felt upscale, warm, and just... special. Our guests are STILL texting about the food and asking, "Wait... where was that from again?" So yes, it's a hidden gem ... but honestly, they deserve all the shine! Thank you!

I really wanted to love this place after seeing so many great reviews on TikTok and elsewhere, but…read moreunfortunately, it just wasn't for us. We had an 11:15 reservation for two, but the restaurant was pretty empty, so we honestly didn't feel the reservation was necessary. The atmosphere had an older vibe but was clean and pleasant, and parking was easy. The food was a mixed experience. I ordered the chicken and French toast, which came with 4 pieces of French toast and 4 wings. The chicken was nicely seasoned and the wings were a good size, but the French toast was burnt, made with sliced bread, and had an overpowering cinnamon flavor that I couldn't finish. My sister ordered the breakfast special with eggs, bacon and grits. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and cooked perfectly, and the bacon was good. The grits, however, were extremely heavily seasoned. For a basic side of grits, it was simply too much. We also ordered one pancake, and I was surprised to find that the only pancake option is their lemon blueberry ricotta pancake. I don't understand why there isn't a basic pancake batter available. What if you don't like lemon? What if pancakes are the reason you came? Being limited to a lemon-flavored pancake seems like an odd choice for a brunch restaurant. We were also excited about the complimentary champagne, but unfortunately it wasn't cold, and neither was the juice. We weren't offered ice until we asked. Our server was also very difficult to hear, so we missed a lot of what she was saying. She may have been new or nervous, so I don't want to be overly critical, but speaking up and making sure guests know about specials and menu options would improve the experience. Overall, it wasn't one single issue but it was everything together. We genuinely tried to enjoy ourselves, but we were ready to leave and didn't finish our food. I'm glad we tried it, but personally, I wouldn't return. These are just our opinions and our experience, and I know everyone's taste is different.

I didn't want to just take them out to dinner -- I wanted them to feel celebrated, appreciated, and completely pampered at home. Chef Kane with Taste of the Sophisticated (TOTS) brought that vision to life with elegance and soul. From the moment she arrived, Chef Kane was completely locked in. You could see the passion in her eyes and the confidence in every step she took in our kitchen. She worked with a quiet intensity and grace, and watching her create was like watching an artist in her element. Every dish that came out was more than food -- it was a moment. The evening started with Truffle Macaroni Bites, perfectly crisp and paired with roasted tomato-garlic coulis and truffle aioli -- a rich and flavorful opener. The French Onion Soup, topped with golden gruyère and comté over toasted brioche croutons, was the best I've ever had -- bold, warming, and luxurious. Then came the Chicken Velouté, a velvety, refined dish with crème fraîche, fresh tarragon, and smoked sea salt. The Truffle Caesar Salad was a sophisticated take on a classic -- pancetta and parmesan crisps added the perfect punch. The main courses were stunning: Baked Salmon with citrus beurre blanc, roasted heirloom carrots, and fingerling potatoes -- light, bright, and beautifully balanced. Spinach-Stuffed Chicken in white wine garlic sauce with truffle mashed potatoes and wild mushrooms -- rich, earthy, and comforting. And the crown jewel: an 8 oz Filet Mignon, flawlessly cooked, served with creamy truffle butter, roasted Brussels sprouts, and silky mashed potatoes. Dessert was a celebration in itself: A Molten Lava Cake made with Valrhona dark chocolate and topped with 24K gold leaf -- decadent and unforgettable. And a delicate Madagascar Vanilla Bean Cupcake with strawberry coulis -- light, fragrant, and a perfect final note. What struck me most was not just the exceptional food -- it was how Chef Kane made every woman at that table feel seen and celebrated. Her presence, care, and artistry elevated the night far beyond any restaurant or typical catering experience. If you're looking to turn a meaningful occasion into a luxurious and heartfelt experience, Chef Kane and TOTS are who you need. I can't thank her enough for making this Mother's Day unforgettable.
