This may be my new go-to tea shop! I ordered the Grapefruit green tea, which was exceptional! I love all the bits of pulp! Tasted so fresh, not just like a flavored syrup. My daughter had some sort of passion fruit tea, which she also enjoyed. This shop is very cute inside and the staff was both friendly and helpful. I've only been here twice, one in Katy and one in Dun Huang Plaza in Bellaire, but both times were perfect and it is now my favorite boba place. My 5 star criteria for a boba place is a few things: good (and generous) cheese foam, good green tea (My main order is green milk/cheese foam tea), and fun flavors to try. TeaTop hit all of these! I was also looking for a place that wasn't overly expensive, and I'd say TeaTop was average compared to other places in the area, but the quality has been great, so I'll be spending my money here lol. At the Bellaire location, I ordered a Jasmine green tea with cheese foam, half sweet, and it was delicious, plus it was really creamy just the way I like it. I'm not a tea aficionado by any means but I think the jasmine green comes through perfectly in this drink. I also felt like they added a good amount of the cheese cap which I loved also. The one in Katy was consistent with the Bellaire visit. This time, I got the Winter-melon Alpine Green Tea (after seeing so many people talk about it), half sweet as well, with cheese foam. This was the first time I'd ever tried Alpine Green Tea (I'm not sure if this is just a TeaTop green tea?) and the flavor Wintermelon, so it was a new experience altogether, and I don't know whether it was the Wintermelon or Alpine tea that made it taste like this, but it was H E A V E N. **Boba lovers,** listen to me when I say, this drink tasted like boba: liquified. Like, straight up boba in liquid form. Boba essence in a drink. I love boba and I can eat it by the spoonful, I make it at home to eat on its own, and I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone who feels the same ~and~ loves cheese cream. This drink was basically everything I could ever want in life and I will be ordering it for a while before moving on to a new flavor. Also, the Katy place is so cute, similar to Bellaire's design but bigger, lots of window light, and would probably be a fun place to hang out at with friends after the pandemic. The separate study room in the back looks like a great place to play board/card games for a small group hang out, and the seating areas out in front were done so creatively, kudos to whoever designed it. I will say they don't look like they'd win the contest for comfort but that's not what I'm rating here! Overall--consistent, cheese foam is solid and delicious, interesting flavors that will be fun to try in the future, and the place is really cute to top it all off. 10/10! read more

Woohoo! Another tapioca franchise has landed in Houston, for the better. First thing I want to point out is the strong tea flavor that no other local tapioca place provides. The alpine milk tea has a very good balance between the tea and milk (you can actually taste a strong tea flavor as mentioned earlier). Another factor that stands out here is their cheese cap, very different (not too sure how to describe, it's very addicting) from all other places with the typical sea salt foam. Aside from their product, customer service is really good in the sense of recommendations. Not just your typical "ohh, yeah these top 10", but the extra step. They will actually ask if you want stronger or lighter kind of tea or suggest you the topping that goes best with the drink you go with. I drive from Spring area all the way here for a drink, go figure. read more

I was recommended to come here by a few friends and the experience was quite pleasant for my first time coming. The staff was very friendly, got their signature alpine green tea in a reasonable time (tastes really fresh by the way). Overall the atmosphere was really chill, so I would imagine that here would be a good spot to lounge with friends or catch up with schoolwork. This is the third out of five tea shops I'v ever tried in Texas and so far I like it more than others. I like how there are sugar levels for you to adjust on some drinks. The staffs in Tea Top are very friendly. They can give you advice based on your sugar preference. If that doesn't help, feel free to ask for their tea sample (in a little tea pot), it's always at 50% sugar which can give you a general idea on the sweetness. If you'r ok with the sample sweetness, then go for 50% sugar, if you want more sweet, go for 80 or 100%, otherwise choose 30% or no sugar at all. Their drink comes in only one size, but the prizes are satisfying. If you like strong tea taste milk tea, I would recommend sun moon lake milk tea, darjeeling (black) milk tea, or earl grey milk tea. Sun Moon Lake milk tea and taro milk tea with pearl (or sago) are my most favorite milk tea. I bet only Tea Top has Sun Moon Lake tea, so why not grab one when you'r there? They also use REAL taro in taro milk tea which definitely won't come out with a purple color of taro powder! Interesting, right? If you don't like the creamy taste of milk tea, fresh milk (lactose free) tea can be your other choice. If you like something icy, look for your options in Slushy series. To my preference, mango slush and taro slush are fantastic!!! For boba lovers, BLACK PEARL TIGER (limited edition!!!) should be on your list. This drink is worth considering for its special black pearls whose taste is distinct from regular ones. It is certainly one of a kind. However, the pearls are only served with fresh milk because of the strong brown sugar flavor, so don't choose it if you want tea in your drink. Just turn up your headphones until they're done chatting and leave. Clean bathrooms.
