Another great boba place to add to the list of great boba places in Katy! I always see it when we're in the area but finally tried it for the first time. Customer service is great. The person working was super friendly. It's a clean place with a handful of seating. Wasn't busy at all and got our order pretty quickly even with just one person working. Great drinks. I couldn't decide which one to get because there were multiple I wanted to try! I decided on the jasmine matcha milk tea 50% sweet. It was exactly what I was hoping for and expecting. Some places mess up the sweetness level and still end up making it overly sweet but this was perfect. Didn't taste super artificial or anything like that either. Solid quality drink. definitely come back to try the other drinks I couldn't decide between!

Rare tea has always been one of my favorites to get milk tea. They have lots of options, unique ones too. Lots of seating as well. I highly recommend and would come back.

I didn't catch her name but the lady was super sweet and inviting and answered our questions. It was my 1st time in here, had never heard of it and saw it while in shipping in this center. I ended up getting the coconut matcha and my fiancé got the rose matcha. They were both fantastic. Not only is the matcha strong, but both the coconut and rose flavors really came through. Other places i feel like the flavors are too subtle whereas here it was strong which I loved. We did not adjust our sugar levels nor substitute milk options. Place was super clean, chic decor, and lots of natural and ambiant lighting. I NEED to come back.

Okinawa milk tea and Strawberry & coconut w/ noodles

Although there's no shortage of boba places in the Katy area, especially close to Katy Asian Town, I'm always happy to welcome another option to the area. My wife and I got the Okinawa milk tea and the strawberry coconut with noodles drinks. The Okinawa milk tea was good but it could have been great if the tea they used wasn't so hot that it melted the ice which ended up watering down the drinks. If they can fix this then I would have given them five stars. The strawberry coconut drink was delicious though. The noodle jelly was a topping I've never seen before but I really liked it. This might be my new go-to topping for drinks!

We went during their soft opening after seeing their event on Facebook. When we walked in, we were greeted immediately and they explained what each of the drinks were like so we could pick the ones we would like most. The BOGO offer is going on all weekend, but you basically buy as many drinks as you want and they give you a get a drink free coupon for next time. For example, if you buy 3 drinks, you get 3 free drink vouchers to use after their soft opening on Monday. We bought 6 drinks and I was pleasantly surprised. Every single drink was amazing! My favorite was the mango coconut noodle and the kiwi fruit tea. Both of these drinks come with toppings but you can add boba as well if you would like. We also tried the rose matcha(very strong matcha flavor), lychee smootea, strawberry coconut noodle, and the duo grape tea (tasted grape syrupy). They have so many drink options. They have some seating and the decor gives off a clean/refreshing vibe, they apparently have another location in Sugar land as well.

I love this place. I've been going for over a year now and I love this place. I love the matcha, and the brown sugar tea with regular boba. I love this place because the atmosphere is so amazing. The people there are so kind (Aisha) I just met her today and she was a total sweetie. And I hope to see her again on my next visit. I feel so amazing every time I walk in, it seems so clean and inviting. I'd recommend this place to any new comers looking for a good study spot or just a nice boba shop.

This place is amazing. They have myriad of options to choose, and they taste so good. Highly recommend to try boba. The staff was super friendly and helpful. However, they don't have many seats to dine in. The store was well decorated though.

Rare Tea just opened in Katy and is currently in their soft opening stage. My friend won one of their soft opening buy one get one giveaways so we went to try it. It was empty when we went there but it looked very nice inside with ample seating. They have a big variety of drinks ranging from teapresso milk teas, milk teas, matcha, fruit teas, smoothies, smooteas, and specialty drinks. I decided to try their teapresso milk tea. I have no clue how it is different from the regular milk teas but they have a lot of traditional tea bases. I got the Iron Goddess (Tieguanyin) tea base with organic milk. I didn't know what to expect from the drink since this place is very new but I ended up really liking my drink. The tea was strong but also with a hint of sweetness to balance it out. I love it when boba shops have strong teas. The drink was strong yet smooth, had a slightly roasted and floral taste as well. I also love how they use small ice yet still fill to the top. My friend really liked their drink as well, she thought the snow cream added a lot to her drink.

It's neat to walk in and see so many flavors to choose from. The toppings are good to add to your drink.

Comfortable cushioned chairs/bench, it's actually not just for looks. Good amount of seating area, though, they could have added maybe 1 more. I got a Signature Black Tea Egg Waffle and House Blend Milk Tea with Yin-Yang Jelly. Though, the house blend milk tea was delicious, I specifically asked multiple of times if there's any tree-nuts, such as almond milk, because someone in my group has a severe tree-nut allergy. I have mentioned it many times, including what their egg waffle mix has (such as almond flours and what not). I was told the waffle was good to go but nothing about their yin-yang jelly. The young server was friendly but I don't think he realized the importance of someone not consuming tree-nuts if they have a tree-nut allergy. Luckily, we double checked with someone else after I questioned the drink and luckily the person who has a tree-nut allergy didn't try any of the drink. So, if you or someone in your group has a tree-nut allergy... possibly avoid this place or get a drink somewhere else. There's a big chance of cross-contamination even if the person who took your order knows the severity of it. Overall, it's a good bubble-tea IF AND ONLY IF THERE'S NO ONE IN YOUR GROUP WITH A TREE-NUT ALLERGY. Tea, at 20% sugar level was sweet enough and delicious without artificial taste. I can actually taste the tea and milk. Their Signature Black Tea Egg Waffle is cute in 3 shapes of cranes. The wing parts are nice and crispy but the center of the body is dry. There's no bounce to it. It's pretty thick and heavy. I would skip their cranes and just get drinks. Again, please beware if you or anyone has a tree-nut allergy.

All of them were very light sweet and i liked the original the most The time I spent at those claw machines is actually embarrassing This spots vibe was so cute tho. They're known for their jelly (no gelatin) which was yummy. I wish the drinks were creamier and less milky but still enjoyed their house milk tea and fruit tea.

Recommend for sweet tooths. -Nice and quiet store, relatively clean -Like the nice variety on the menu. Cons -I didn't particularly like the pandan matcha. It wasn't very flavorful to me. I wouldn't get it again. -My friend got the banana matcha, and she said it was ok and could do better with the banana flavor and cream. -The self-checkouts can be difficult to get things scan properly. -There seems to be a lot of ads for new items, but it's not on the menu.

I was just in town for the weekend for a friend's baby shower and I swear they have some great places to eat and drink in this area. Very cute little spot and most everything is as usual credit card base and touch screens. I was going to go to the counter but decided to go to the touch screen so I could browse through the menu. I hate when I'm at a new place and don't know what I want gives me anxiety...lol So I got the limited horchata milk tea 50% sweet and a small order of karaaga (spelled wrong I'm sure) chicken and when I tell you the chicken came out popping hot! Wow so good! Even at 50% the milk tea was not too sweet so I might could have went up to maybe 75% or they do have the option to use a sugar free substitute. So that's a great option only if it's stevia..lol. I can't stand Splenda just gross.. When I visit Katy I will definitely stop by again and try a few other items. Service was quick and friendly! But I know that's how us Texans get down!

I like what I like, just as others like what they like. So I wasn't sure what I was going to get stuck with. So on the way to the outskirts of Katy, we stopped in at Ding Tea. Let me tell you how busy this area was on a beautiful Sunday before lunar New Year. There wasn't a single parking space to be had in three different lots. There was traffic everywhere in people. Do not drive well when they're looking for a parking spot. People just stopped in the middle of the parking lot and didn't move. Waiting for someone to walk out of a building. Super annoying. Luckily, Ding Tea is located behind lot of the larger restaurants and the golf course and other super busy areas. There was a parking spot waiting for me out front and it was easy to get in and out. We ended up getting a tea to share, and two to go with us to the party. We also got an order of the popcorn chicken. I wish they would have it a little bit spicier on its own, without having to dip it into things. A little seasoning goes a long way! The staff were also super nowledgeable about the menu, courteous, and efficient. Will definitely be back, but not on lunar new year. So busy!!

Their line of beverages have hit the spot in a way where I can laud them for their consistency in both customer service and selection of drinks. Their selection of drinks are broken down in milk tea, fruit tea, latte, "pure" tea, traditional, and cheese. Toppings include aiyu, grass, red bean, tapioca, pearl, and combined boba with sugar level adjustments. The standouts in each section for me are as follows: (pure) jinxuan oolong, kumquat lemon tea (fruit), winter melon lemonade (traditional), yamamasa koyamaen's matcha (latte), and their regular wanpo milk tea. If I'm feeling really indulgent, I'll get a cheese cream oreo but that's a rare occasion. They've done a good job of opening up the interior space and the layout is ideal for groups and solo action. This is likely to accommodate lines (if any) throughout the week. The illuminated tea areas is a nice decorative touch, There are some table + board games and the place is really pretty during the daytime when the natural light kicks in. WiFi is also on point. The staff is young, friendly, and mostly bilingual in Mandarin + English. Prices are the standard $5-7 per drink, and parking is always abundant in this part of KAT. Given Wanpo's Taiwanese roots and celebrated global brand, it only legitimizes (and further saturates) the greater Houston tea scene.

Wanting to give Wanpo the benefit of the doubt, I asked if it could be remade because it was a $8 drink. The worker, whose name I believe is Eric, SNIFFED my drink through the straw and said that it's Sugarcane and gave it back to me.....He then said he wouldn't remake it because it smells like it...Huh..? I walked out in shock because, what? Out of all the boba spots that I have been to, never has anyone smelled my drink. In fact, I used to work at a boba shop and never has it occurred to me to smell a drink and not remake it for a customer. Like, I don't know what methods you use to confirm ingredients but you couldn't even take the drink to the back to smell it? You did it in front of my face? I don't ever ask for drinks to be remade unless it tastes nothing like I ordered, I just go about and let it be but this genuinely appalled me. I go to Wanpo and I enjoy their Mango Sago drink but this experience has led me to never come back because... are you serious?
