So, this is tricky. The service was good, the drink was tasty and the selection was acceptable, meaning that there were enough items to chose from or add on for most folks, however, the biggest turn off for me was the " no cash" sign at the register. I pay cash to avoid higher costs created by the fees that clearing housing and banks charge for processing the credit transactions and to prevent surprise expenses when the bills come due. For me, it's how I budget and I won't be forced by a business that I have a choice of spending my money in to pay in something other than legal tender. Good for some, not for me. read more

I'm basically addicted to the immunity bowl. I have a cashew allergy so I do have to sub out the cashew milk with coconut water and the chia pudding for just straight chia seeds. The first time I tried it, I was worried the subs would make it less delicious, but I was so wrong! The staff has always been very nice and accommodating of my substitutions and allergies. The place is always clean and there's a few spots for seating if anyone wants to stick around. Also it's connected to a little courtyard in the back which is super cute and great for kids. I actually go here alot but have had several bad experiences. The items are good but the customer service is not . When I arrived , the girl took my orders out of the bag , kept the bag, and set them on the table for me to carry.. without a bag. She also got the size of my drink wrong. When I told her I ordered a large and not a small , she was annoyed that she had to make more. When she made more, she left out 3-4 ingredients in my "make your own juice" . When she finished, she puts the juice on the table, didn't say a word and walked away so quick that I couldn't even ask for a bag to hold my items. I was nice, said please and thank you, was patient while my juice was being re made but did not get good customer service in return. I also have a severe gluten and dairy allergy. One time I picked up my items, I told one of the girls working there that I have a gluten and dairy allergy and if she can confirm with whoever made my bowl used gluten free granola and pea protein instead of whey. The girl just quickly looked at the receipt to see if I chose gf and df options and just said "yeah I think so" They were busy and she seemed in a rush. But please take allergens seriously. It could mean life or death. Also please have employees scrape the foam off the juices. When the foam goes down, I'm actually only left with half of a juice.. or even less sometimes. read more

It's my Mommy "ME" time today so I decided to spoil myself with a protein smoothie from a place I never tried. I normally make protein shakes at home. I got the Mango Delight smoothie with coconut juice instead of cashew milk, and whey protein add-on. So creamy and refreshing and so tasty! It's my first time here and the ladies at the register were super helpful. After reading the reviews here I wish I knew about the app because I could've gotten it for free. Oh well, will just have to come back. My girlfriend and I stopped here recently after a nice day in the park. I wanted to try one of their smoothies, but was unable to as they use cashew milk and I have a nut allergy. When I asked about substitutions for the milk, they informed me that they only have the cashew milk and nothing else to substitute it with. The other drinks they have used coconut water, but we were informed that they had just run out of coconut water. My girlfriend asked if they were able to substitute anything else since they ran out and was simply told "We just don't make the drink if we run out of something." We tried to stay optimistic and both settled for drinks that were more of a "last chance/choice" option and we were both fairly disappointed. As a business that serves up products that can contain something which is a possible allergy to many consumers, it's ridiculous that they didn't offer or have on hand any viable substitute such as regular, soy or oat milk. They are effectively alienating a lot of potential customers. Running out of an item happens and really isn't that big of a deal. There's nothing you can really do about it other than to try and plan ahead and be stocked properly. OR, you can have other things on hand as a substitute when a situation like that occurs. Alternatively, you can also post an announcement to let customers know something is temporarily out of stock instead of leaving them disappointed that they can't order something and telling them that "we just don't make the drink". As for pricing... $8.25 for a 16oz drink is definitely overpriced for what you get. You can go to Smoothie King and get a 20oz drink for @ $6.50. Bottom line, we won't be returning here. read more

$10 for toppings? I've always wanted to try this place so I stopped by yesterday. I opted for the açaí mango smoothie bowl and the green apple detox fresh juice. Juice was good but unfortunately the smoothie bowl wasn't worth it. 1) I noticed after I paid that their signage has pricing that didn't match the register. The signage said the bowl was $9.45, but my receipt said $9.75. Pricing was also off for the juice. I didn't notice until I got my receipt. I will say they are still on the cheaper end of other smoothies bowls I've paid for. 2) I opted to not have the fresh banana and strawberries on top and asked to substitute for more coconut chips and granola. I wasn't charged for the coconut chips but was charged $1 for the granola which the employee did not inform me of. And even when I received my bowl they put the "extra" granola in a cup on the side. 3) the proportions on the bowl were off. I've been bouncing around to a lot of juice shops trying different smoothie bowls and while this was the largest container, the toppings dominated the bowl. If divided into thirds, I probably received 1/3 smoothie and 2/3 toppings. I will say the bowl was good, really liked the granola and the agave that they put on top. read more

So I went to the Nekter juice bar on 9920 Gaston Rd #190, Katy when I got there I wasn't greeted upon arrival, However, I was trying to use an app for the first time, and I had asked the cashier for help her response was I don't know how. She didn't even try to help me or ask to see the app However I think I spent about 45 minutes to an hour in there because I had the wrong addressfor the order I had placed and paid. It was 3 ladies in there at the time 2 of them were rude, and the third one was nice. However my point to the situation is if she would have helped me from the beginning when I got there I wouldn't be writing this review right now but I have to go through the process of calling the other store on Gray street in Houston which was 40 minutes away to try to see if the order can be canceled I asked to speak to a manager and there was no manager on duty at the Katy location. When I spoke with Bri at the location on Gray street in Houston she was very helpful. This location was not what I expected the staff needs to do better. read more
