Never heard of it, never was on my radar, but a nice find. It is located in a little shopping strip with plenty of parking. It is nicely decorated inside and seemed like a spot to chill with friends or bring your laptop and get some work done. Customer service was good. They were able to customize a specific flavor combination and make a drink that wasn't even on the menu. I was in the mood for something fruity, but not a smoothie with dairy. They made me a mango strawberry slushie with mango popping boba. The drink did take awhile to come out even though it wasn't terribly busy. The drink was good. It could've used just a tab bit more sweetness, but that was something I could've asked for and adjusted. Now I know their baseline and can order accordingly next time. Goodness, how many times have I been here? Too many since grand opening. The one in Chicago was good, the one here did not disappoint either. Though, their Vietnamese iced coffee is good here, it gives me a drying-after-taste. Is that a word? Probably not. Service is always friendly and they're always happy to suggest something. The durian avocado smashed though served only in a small cup, it was packed with yumminess. I never thought durian and avocado would work together, and it did! There were durian bits and avocado pieces in the drink. They also added half of an avocado fruit into the drink. So delicious and filling. The lychee cheeze breeze was also very good. Delicious and creamy. T-Amo Fruit Tea $5.95 Good amount of fruit. Usually I have to cut the sugar but the sweetness in this is pretty spot on. My wife says their boba is pretty good but I generally skip it for myself so I'll have to take her word for it. She said the basic milk tea was okay. Found this cute boba shop by chance in Richmond. All the drinks we tried were excellent! The mango peach (personal favorite) & strawberry cheese breeze were refreshing! Stopped after a big meal but somehow had room for our treats! Our smoothie was refreshing and delicious! We ordered the Volcano Lava smoothie, regular sugar level. The flavor was wonderful. Loved it! It is extremely off putting that the establishment smells like a nail salon. It's really strong!! There is one next door but still not okay for a place selling things for consumption. Also, I ordered my drinks with no ice, initially they got it wrong. No biggie. When they corrected it, they filled the cups 3/4 full. It's very tacky. I've gone to several boba places and never seen something like this. Either fill it u completely, add water, or charge extra. They even allowed me to sample one of the teas that I was curious about, the artichoke tea. I was pleasantly surprised! It's actually really good! If I had to describe the flavor, it would be earthy. I ended up getting the royal artichoke tea which included basil seeds, grass jelly, and aloe. Yes, for those of you that are curious, it's legit made from artichokes but sweetened of course! I probably could've went down to 75% sweetness. It was nice to try some thing that I normally don't go for and it was even better that I loved it! In the midst of finals season, this review is catered more towards students who are looking to study at a coffee/boba shop (refer to CONS section)... Pros: -- vast selection of drinks and Açaí bowls! I haven't tried their açaí bowls yet, but some of my favorite drinks here are the royal artichoke (very refreshing), avocado smashed, and Cafe Sua Da (a tad bit pricey however for 12oz cup) -- Beautiful interior! Great spot for boba chats, hangouts, and chill with board games. CONS: -- I DO NOT RECOMMEND STUDYING HERE AS OF December 2022!!! I recalled a fellow yelper mentioning the spotty WiFi and it still is VERY SPOTTY during my visit! WiFi cuts out frequently within my 3 hours of stay. I left feeling frustrated and unproductive stemming from the WiFi cutoffs. Such a bummer since TeaAmo seemed like a good place to study with their nice chairs/tables and outlet accessibility...
