I was making my way back home from the Sugar Land/Hwy 6 area and was thinking of giving new places a try. One that I heard of from recommendation is Fresh Boba. I believe the business also had recognition from the Houston Chronicle as top 15 boba shops. I stopped in during a more relaxed time where the business was more relaxed and midday weekend. I was a bit unsure of what to get but asked the staff what would be a good recommendation on the menu. I did go with their special Salted Vietnamese coffee and mango green tea with boba. The boba is chewy and something I noticed after taking a sip. I found it important the boba is cooked properly so it is not too soft and too hard. The tea was refreshing too and you have your option of either black or green tea. The special salted Vietnamese coffee was a surprise for me because I would typically pick the traditional way from other businesses that offer it. Still strong in flavor but a different taste for me. Overall I think it's a good visit. Fresh boba is in a familiar spot where I buy my alternate coffee shop opposed from the well known brand. The shop is nice and does have various seatings by the wall and even couches. Nothing wrong for critique but if you do pick the salted Vietnamese coffee I suggest you mix it well because of the salty and bitter profile cream on top in combination with the prominent coffee base. It is good but maybe not for everyone if you are used to the traditional simplicity of coffee and condensed milk. A nice option away from the concentrated Chinatown offerings.

I wanted to try the fb1 frosty with caramel and boba and it did not disappoint. This is one of my favorite boba spots! I can't wait to try more teas

This establishment is what got me hooked on boba tea. My first and favorite drink is hazelnut cream tea with extra boba. They recently renovated the inside and it is beautiful! It is the perfect place to meet with a couple of friends. They have a lot of dairy free options. Try it, you'll thank me later. Just know, if you arrive right when they open, the boba isn't always ready. This place still deserves 5 stars.

This was my first visit to this cute little shop tucked away in a strip center. It was within walking distance of Thai Siam where I just had lunch. As you enter booths and tables are on each side with the order counter toward the back. The menu is up on the wall with a nice variety. When I mentioned it was my first time the cashier didn't say anything or make any recommendations until I asked what some of her favorites were. She was more into smoothies but did make a couple suggestions. She wasn't particularly chatty but I assumed she had other things on her mind. The menu has an excellent variety with smoothies, cream teas, icy blends, green and black teas or coffee Espressos with a nice selection of flavors. I ordered the Fresh Boba Cream Tea Frosty with Caramel. I'd never had this before so I was excited to try. It only took a few minutes for the young lady to prepare plus I was the only customer. I grabbed a booth to sample my Boba before getting back on the road. I loved the fresh, firm boba and the caramel flavor was nice. I appreciated the cup had enough ice to chill without overfilling the cup with ice. I'd order again and it stayed chilled quite awhile. It's a comfortable spot to hang out and enjoy a beverage. If you're looking for a good boba and in the area, stop in.

This boba place has great variety but at the same time even if they are good, I've had better . I don't mean to say they are bad because they are truly good and they do have fresh boba, I am just saying that I have had better boba and wouldn't exactly say that these were my favorite. There boba is not too starchy or too mushy, and their tea tastes refreshing and yummy. I go there when I am in need of a good boba and the place is very modern. It is small and cute and has cute water refreshments sitting on a little counter . The workers there are nice and give you recommended drink options. They take your order fast and then treat you with a good drink fast. All in all , if you are looking for good boba and tea, visit a Fresh Boba near you!

Best boba I have ever had!!! First time and it has ruined boba for me. Can't wait to go back :)

    Thai Tea

I'm not sure what it is about Thai tea but I tend to literally down my entire drink in a minute or three. Never have I reviewed a boba spot before but I definitely felt inclined to give this spot a go. First off, did not mean to stop in.... I was driving by the shopping strip and saw the name along the building. Went in. Ordered the same thing I get at every other spot and BOOM! I've been blown away by how "fresh" this drink feels. Usually there's a hint of powder but the guys as FreshBoba really earn their name. 5/5 stars. Will be back next time I'm around the area

There are so many chairs and tables, it feels like you're in a massive well decorated living room. Ample space to spread out and work or study or read scripture. Speaking of reading scripture - if God made coffee on Day 6 it was because the two new humans made him exhausted. That's why he needed rest on Day 7 teeheehee. I had a matcha latte. It was wayyyy to sweet for me. Considering I do not have a single sweet tooth in my mouth and usually drink my matcha plain. They were kinda and gave me a coffee on the house with free refills. There are alot of pastries, I heard there were tacos, I will try those next time. Will I be back?... of course. This place was popping by 9 and I see why. They are doing something RIGHT!

It was my first visit--I ordered an almond milk cappuccino, an iced banana bread latte, and a chocolate croissant (note: the full kitchen opens an hour after the shop). Both drinks were fantastic--well balanced, and the banana bread latte really tasted like its namesake without being overly sweet. The croissant was average, though I appreciated the smaller size compared to the oversized ones you usually see. The barista was knowledgeable and genuinely engaged with customers, which made the experience stand out. One downside: the Wi-Fi was slow, even when it wasn't busy, so I ended up using my phone hotspot. I'd come back to try the matcha and explore more of the food menu.

The staff were incredibly kind, the food came out quickly, and the place was busy, yet I still did not fully enjoy my overall experience. My mom ordered the Butter Chicken Rice Bowl, while my sister and I shared two Samosa Chaats, a four piece Punjabi Veg Samosa order, and a Mango Hibiscus Mocktail. When everything arrived, we quickly realized we had ordered far too much food for three people. The Samosa Chaats were solid and comforting without feeling overly heavy, and they seem like something that would really hit the spot late at night. Because we ordered two of them, the extra samosas ended up feeling unnecessary. While the butter chicken rice bowl was decent, we were not warned that it was spicy, which caught us off guard since butter chicken is usually mild. My mom struggled with the heat, which took away from her enjoyment. I was also not told that the mango hibiscus mocktail was carbonated. Although it tasted fine and slightly artificial, I personally dislike carbonation and could not finish more than a sip. Overall, this café has a fun concept, friendly service, and quick turnaround on food, but the dishes themselves were hit or miss, and the experience did not justify such a long drive. If you live nearby and want a casual late night bite, it might be worth checking out, but I would not go out of my way to return.

Maybe because I ordered less sweet so I don't taste the lavender at all, but my matcha did have a slightly strong fragrant smell in the beginning. But overall the drink got more bland as the ice melted. The bread was good though, they give honey on the side so you can adjust the sweetness yourself. The bread is pillowy and easily pulled apart, a good balanced sweet savory pastry because the cheese is light and not overpowering.
