I went back to MTea for the first time in maybe 8 years or so. It was my first time seeing the new space since they moved within the same plaza. It's a lot more spacious with nice seating options. They've also expanded their menu a lot with lots of drink options and snack/dessert options. I got the rose lychee green tea which comes with little lychee chunks on the bottom. At 75% sweet I'd say it was a good amount of sweetness for my preference. I'd come back just because they have lots of interesting flavor options that I'd be curious to try. Pricing is pretty standard these days with a drink coming out to around $6-$7. read more

My family and I are regulars at MTea! Their drinks are always so consistent and very quick service. My go-to is the thai green tea with boba, 50% sugar. It's the perfect amount of sweetness and the boba is always soft and chewy! The fruit tea is filled with so much real fruit that is perfectly bite sized, and the thai tea is also a favorite. Their snacks are also delicious; especially their bubble waffles! My favorite is the pandan with coconut filling. It's made fresh, but I would prefer some more coconut inside of it. They used to be a few doors down but moved into the larger corner space. It's a great spot for getting work done or hanging with friends, very spacious with some outlets and comfortable chairs! I've done my fair share of studying long hours here. I will say that everytime, there is an unpleasant smell that comes and goes; almost like sewage. A few times it's gotten to the point where I had to pack up my things and leave. The hospitality here could also be improved. Hopefully that gets resolved. read more

Cute spot to get a Boba tea. Extensive menu with LOTS of fun options. I got my usual oolong milk tea, which on the menu said was $5.95 but it rang up as $6.90 so that was slightly confusing. But I liked that I could customize the sweetness which is always a bonus. Really cute and clean inside with comfortable chairs. There's lots of seating, but worth mentioning that the music is a little bit loud so might be slightly hard to study or read. Hope to come back and try something else on the menu! read more

Recently came here and realized they moved a few shops down the same shopping center! MTea used to be my favorite boba shop, but it was eventually dethroned by Tea Top and most recently, Wushiland. But yall, my favorite changes as often as one changes their underwear. MTea is at the top again after a spectacular showing of their Oolong Milk Tea. Yall, the creaminess of this drink is unmatched. Strong oolong flavor comes through and the creamer or milk or whatever they use in this - seriously the best milk tea I've had in a LONG time. Paired with boba and egg pudding and it was easily the best drink I've ever had. Not sure if management changed with the move, but whatever happened, MTea is better than ever. The shop is probably about triple in size now with plenty of tables and chairs to chat or study. Music isn't too loud and everything is clean. Will def be back soon. read more

Super cute place. They moved 2 doors down from their previous location so it's right at the corner where chez beignet use to be. Service was great super nice staff. Sugar Land has a lot of boba places right now but if you are looking for something not overwhelming you with heavy handed syrups and flavors with pretty consistent boba this is the place for you. I was recommended MTea because I was looking for a nice place to study at and wanted a yummy drink to sip on. The Thai Green Tea was very delicious. The tea comes very sweet if you order it as it is, so I found that ordering the drink with half sugar was the perfect balance of sweetness while not distracting from the tea flavor. I liked how creamy the tea was, and appreciated how it wasn't watery and diluted. The avocado smoothie was very dense but still tasty also. Spent a good 4 hours here studying and had no complaints. Wifi was stable and the seats were comfy. There was plenty of seating even on a weekend and almost every seat was near an outlet. There were a lot of students there studying so the environment is pretty quiet. If you are in the area and want to study or grab a flavorful drink, stop by and order a Thai Green Tea. 9/10! read more

The ice in my drink was still almost half the cup and by the end of the drink it was diluted and still had a lot of ice. I think it was a little expensive but that is most boba nowadays. I think I'm super picky when it comes to milk teas but I am not a huge fan of this location unfortunately. I think nowadays everyone and their mom makes a boba tea franchise regardless of the quality and taste of ingredients. The staff were friendly! Little sad though that they don't have hot drinks besides brown sugar milk tea, and my sister and I were looking for something warm on a cold day. However, the vibe there is nice and toasty, would be a nice date spot to chill and chat, or work/study. They got a decent big menu with some snacks too like popcorn chicken. We ordered the crème brûlée milk tea (75% sweet, less ice) and dragon fruit peach tea (25% sweet, no ice) that I forgot to take a pic of. The milk tea very leafy, but tea flavor kinda overpowered the crème brûlée's creamy taste. So seems like the milk tea actually taste lighter on sweetness, meanwhile the peach tea tasted sweeter than what I ordered which is 25%. I couldn't really taste the tea, just the flavored syrup. Rude service. I came up to the counter to order but the girls working were busy so I just waited until they were available . I was just chilling on my phone waiting for someone to come take my order at the POS, until one of the girls working, not sure her name, came up without saying anything just stared at me blankly as if I made her mad for wanting to order. Based on the reviews I decided to come here since they said they offer fresh fruit smoothies. My order was for a strawberry smoothie 50% sweet. It was way TOO sweet. I literally had to drive back to the store because it was too sweet. They were nice enough to re-do my order. I requested 0% sweet. I saw them make it, they added a strawberry syrup and a tiny scoop of strawberries. She explained that the strawberries alone don't have enough flavor? So that's why they use syrup, and that's exactly why this drink tastes artificial, (yall don't add enough fruit and supplement with a "strawberry jam") not refreshing at all. Safe to say I'll never ever come back here again. However since they re-made my drink and boba was soft, and the place was clean I'll give them 3 stars. read more

This is my second time to try this place because it's a little too far away from my house (like an hour away). Store is pretty clean and neat. Staffs are friendly. There're couple board games, plenty of seatings. I ordered the jasmine green tea with sea salt, japanese matcha smoothie and popcorn chicken. Always stop by when I'm in the area. Wintermelon tea with boba 5/5 Light wintermelon taste but really refreshing. Boba is a good consistency Dragon fruit peach tea with 50% sugar and aloe Vera 5/5 Learnt my lesson! Went here and got it full sugar and it was sooooo sweet. I'm not a soda drinking kind of person so I'm not use to that amount of sugar. If you love sweet keep it 100 but if you are more of a mild sweet tooth that 50% will be enough esp with your toppings which will also sweeten it a bit. read more

I love visiting MTea & Coffee. I have been here at least 10 times since they've opened. I always forget to take a pic of my drink because they are sooo tasty! My go-to drinks are the dragon fruit peach green tea and the pineapple passion fruit green tea. They are the perfect amount of sweetness and the boba is always nice and chewy! The drinks come in a good size and even though I tend to stick to fruit teas they have a good variety of milk teas to chose from. I've had their fries, popcorn chicken, and house taco before, all of which are tasty sides to munch on when you could sit and chat with friends pre-COVID era haha. The staff members are kind and work fast. Everyone wears their mask and they have a bottle of hand sanitizer for guest use near the cash register. Milk tea: good. Thai tea: not so good. MTea is located right off of highway 6 in a little center with ample parking. There are tables inside with complimentary board games. The ambience is nice for catching up with friends, hanging with the family, or doing some reading. Boba consistency is pretty solid. The boba balls have a nice chewy texture with just a hint of sweetness. Milk tea is full of tea flavor with the right amount of cream to give the drink a well balanced flavor. Thai tea is unfortunately not great. Very strong thai tea flavor but almost zero creaminess. It's basically just a cup of straight tea. The boba and drinks are good. The matcha waffle is super delicious if made correctly. I really thought I found my new dessert/tea place without having to go to Chinatown. However, aside from Ashley because she always gets my order perfect (I sincerely thank you Ashley, you and the waffles saved it from being a 1 star), the customers service of the other employees (vy and asian girl with short hair and tattoos) are terrible. This is the third time they gave me an issue with my order and got my order wrong. I admit I am particular about my drinks and food, but it's nothing outrageous (25% sweet, replace sugar with honey, or add extra matcha and extra crispy for waffle) and I'm willing to pay extra for all of my requests. I wish they and the business would be more accommodating to make us feel like a valued customer (my bestfriend and I come through a few times a week and on average spend $35 plus each time). Instead what we got was "no, I can't do that", they give us an attitude, and complain in Vietnamese while making our stuff. One of the girls even walked out of the kitchen to tell me "I can't make your drink with honey because that changes the recipe". Why does that matter? I am the only one drinking it. I had to get the honey on the side and mix it myself. Why hire people that hates their job and does not want to be there? read more

I tried this place for the first time last weekend and had fun hanging out at this cute boba shop located in the sugar land area. The interior is nicely decorated and their drinks give great aesthetic pleasure. Love the ambience at this place. My favorite drink was the Fresh Coconut with Orange! It had perfect sweetness. I used to go here almost every single day when I lived in sugarland because it was across the street from me. All of their drinks are to die for and never disappoint. My personal favorite was their Taro smoothie because the taste of their taro is amazingg! The service is always always good. It's also so cute from the inside with board games to play and all kinds of things I love it . MTea is a decent teahouse with a good amount of options to choose from. I got 3 Dragonfruit Peach Green Teas, 1 Fresh Fruit Tea, and one Oolong Milk Tea. I called 15 minutes ahead of time to order and they took the phone order with no problem. First off, the fruit teas were pretty good. Nice amount of tea flavor. The Dragonfruit Peach Green Tea was really pretty as well. The fruit tea was a bit sour according to my friend, though. Second, the menu has an Oolong Milk Tea with Sea Salt. I asked if he could make it without the sea salt and just make a regular Oolong Milk Tea. He didn't seem confused and started making it. When he was about to bag it, I noticed it was a normal tea. He said he thought I meant I wanted an Oolong Tea so he remade the milk tea that I wanted. When he was done remaking it... there was sea salt foam in it. I guess the language barrier made it difficult and I should've reminded him again. I didn't want the hassle so I just took the drink and left. If you like fruit teas or just want to order straight off the menu, this place is pretty decent. The drinks were good but nothing special. There are other places who make better drinks.
