I was glad to see how big Seafood City expanded its food area. The Grill City line is often too long and sometimes can be over whelming. The surrounding food has good, if not better options. Baso is definitely a great option to try for small bites and drinks. The Ube Matcha latte was excellent. The leche flan latte was just ok. I also was able to try the sinigang chicken nuggets... definitely get this! Will be back!

Located inside Seafood city on the left side once you enter. I havent tried the food yet so thats why im not able to give it a full 5 stars. The review is for the coffee and drinks. We have visit Baso a few times over the weekend and throughly enjoy their coffee. Its great to see more Pandan Lattee drinks popping up as a menu item at new coffee shops. My favorite Drinks have been the Ube cream latte and Pandan cream latte. My kid likes to order the Mango Graham cloud. The latte isnt super strong but i would rate is medium. Its not viet coffee strong. We enjoy stopping here when we grocery shopping and if we are in the center. Highly recommend stopping by if youre in the area. The drinks and coffee are worth the stop. Ill update once I try their food.

Good place to get Filipino food in Sugarland. Very casual and convenient shop with lots of delicious options. The popcorn chicken was pretty good, the flavor was on point. However, some of the pieces weren't as juicy as I'd like. The Ube Matcha was good for the most part, wish there was a little bit of more of a Matcha taste, but overall good experience.

Ube Brown Sugar Boba

I got the Ube Brown Sugar Boba w/ Leche Flan to go and it was sooo good - I can't imagine the amount of sugar in that cup but ignorance is bliss. The boba was soft, the ube flavor was prevalent, and the leche flan added a nice creamy touch. Will definitely come back to try a handful of other menu items I asked for no ice! I enjoy no ice since it allows me the ability to sip and savor the drink over time instead of rushing to finish so that the ice doesn't water down the drink.

The menu is really a great fusion of Filipino + American dishes. The langonaisa burger on pandesal for example is a heavy decadent breakfast sandwich. Great if you are really hungry! It's almost big enough to share, because I could only eat 1/2 in this sitting. It was really juicy and I enjoyed it... not something I could have every week. Definitely a "cheat day" kind of event. The mini halohalo was just enough for me to get a quick fix. Truth be told, you can get halohalo at at least 4 different areas of Seafood City, and they are all kind of unique in their own way. This one is cute and great for "on the go." It has red beans in it, with the gelatins, and ube ice cream. No ube halaya btw, if that's what you're looking for. In terms of ambiance, it's not so much a coffee shop vibe since it's not enclosed. I love that it does have coffee drinks, since it's the only area of SFC that does (which is surprising to me, since so many Filipinos drink coffee!). So in terms of that, it's a VERY welcome addition to SFC since it offers something different. I didn't love the sinigang popcorn chicken though. It was a little too over seasoned and even salty for me... I have HBP (like many Filipinos!) and I couldn't finish the dish since I was worried about the salt content. Maybe in they need to tweek the recipe with less sinigang seasoning on the chicken. A little goes a long way. Other than that, I highly recommend a visit to Baso!

Ube matcha latte

Run, don't walk to get this incredible ube matcha latte!! I ordered this unsweetened with oat milk, and it was amaaaaaazing. The matcha is high quality, you can watch them whisk it behind the counter with care. The ube has just the right hint of sweetness to it and adds a great creamy texture to the drink. The menu has all sorts of other unique drinks that I will definitely be back for!

I still think about this spam hash brown and egg burger. It's one of the best burgers in town.

5 stars just for the spam burger alone. I still think about this spam hash brown and egg burger. It's one of the best burgers in town. The savory spam, the crispy hash brown, the fluffy eggs, the soft buns, everything makes it perfect. Everything else is fine, but my mouth is watering just thinking about this spam burger.

Cute corner inside seafood city grille. Pandan latte was good, not super sweet. Strawberry matcha latte is sweet but not too sweet. The ube pancakes were soooo yummy. The Dubai chocolate waffles were amazing, very sweet but delish. Made fresh to order. Service is friendly

Finally got around to trying this new addition to the re-vamped and expanded Seafood City food court. Everything I have tried in here so far has been a hit, so I expected no less from Baso. I am happy to say that this place has become a new favorite, and I'm already looking forward to the next time I can come back! I came in on a Saturday around 1pm, which is probably one of the busiest times of the week. Even still, the service was friendly and fairly quick. I was also able to easily find a seat. I ordered a Tocino Bacon Egg n' Cheese, fries, and the Ube Halo Halo Soft Serve. The Tocino Bacon Egg n' Cheese was so, so incredible. It was hearty, juicy, and the perfect mix of sweet and savory. And at just $7, I thought it was a great value. The fries were also incredible--cripsy and very flavorful. The Ube Halo Halo soft serve was decadent, and a perfect way to end the meal. Overall, I highly recommend trying Baso by The Baker's Son!

Classic milk tea with boba

Cute new coffee/tea spot inside Seafood City. I'm loving all the Filipino menu options like the "Longanisa Burger" and "Ube Pancakes". My son and I both got 2 milk teas with boba. Solid 4/5 stars; it would've been 5 stars if it hadn't been for the hardened shriveled up tapioca at the bottom of both our drinks! Like how does that even happen? The milk tea was delicious and sweet and the other part of our tapioca was tasty. I would still come back, would like to try the other drinks and food.

EPIC. This place instantly became a staple in my sugar land food rotation and will honestly probably become a weekly tradition. We came for breakfast and everything slapped so hard. Longanisa brekkie Sammy is a flavor bomb. Bacon and eggs tocino Sammy is so fluffy and delicious. The crispy hashbrowns they add takes these sandwiches to another level. The Maria Clara pancake was like a pancake mamon party in your mouth with a delicious sugar butter topping. The Pandan latte had a balanced light Pandan flavor too. Banana pudding? Yes please. Tiramisu? YES PLEASE. The donut selection was also super creative! The staff here were all insanely friendly and helpful, it was like dining with friends. I'm coming back tomorrow for more :)

I finally had a chance to try here as it is the most popular cafe inside Seafood City. It a bit expensive as one Longanisa burger is 11.49 and the fries are extra charge and the drinks are average 6.50 dollars. The burger was delicious and I would still come back to try the other food offering here. The Sinigang popcorn chicken was good as well. Ube matcha latte was refreshing, but the banana cream matcha was a better dessert drink. After you order you give them a name and they will call out the name when your food and drinks are ready. The cafe is well decorate and the seats are comfortable. There is a water station if you want free water. They also have free WiFi for paying customers.

This gem for Filipino dessert!!! I had the Ube halo halo and its ube ice cream plus halo halo ingredients without the crushed ice. Divine!!! Service was good, modern seating and enough space to sit and rest after all the busy mini Filipino feel excursion! Love it!

Came here August 9th for there grand opening weekend. Located inside of the store of a gas station…read more An interesting concept of a halal food hall, with an assortment of styles of food. But from the looks of it it didn't seem like seperate businesses, just 1 kitchen crew working all of the menus. Not sure if that's how it will always be or not? They had free food when they opened at 10am'ish, but by the time I got there around 3p all the free food had been sold out. Too bad. But I was lucky enough to catch there other give away, 50% off everything. Food- ecided to go with there smash burger and there parmesan wings. I ordered at there kiosk, which was pretty easy to do so. They have a ton of add on's. The burger was yummy from cheeky buns. The wings were alright. Service- originally when I ordered I got a text saying 18 minutes wait time, but it was ready in less than 10. I guess they wanted to over estimate rather than under, I respect it. There was a steady amount of people there for there opening. Overall pretty nice to open a food hall in this suburban area of town, wishing them well!

Newly opened restaurant inside of the gas station. 7 different Halal restaurants under one roof…read more You order from the kiosk and they make your food as soon as you complete. Food was cooked to order so it came out fresh and hot. Vast variety of options, we settled on a bacon smash burger with seasoned fries and beef shawarma . Food was fresh and good , hope everyone gives it a try.
