Generally, I don't have an issue with this location, but my experience today was disappointing. It was busy, which I completely understand, and I appreciate seeing young employees gaining work experience. However, customer service is still important. I asked for a turkey wrap to be warmed, and the employee seemed confused by the request, even laughing with another team member as though I had asked for something unusual, as she laughed and giggled. I ended up telling them to forget it and that I would warm it at home. On top of that, the wrap was put together so poorly that it fell apart immediately. Alright, so I'm a fan of Jersey Mike's but I think I like their cold sandwiches, better than their hot ones. When I look at the selection avaialble, I haven't seemed to narrow in on my favorite one, though I'm a philly cheesesteak kinda girl at heart. It's a small location next to the HEB. I don't know if it's the best service ever, but I was definitely happy enough to want to come back or stop by for dinner before buying anything from HEB, cause you know they tempt you! Pros are the selection and friendliness. Cons were the speed at which they made the sandwiches, but I don't know if that's because they seemed to be mostly teens or if they just sucked at their job. This is a solid Jersey Mike's location in Sugar Land near an H-E-B I've been frequenting. My wife and I were on our way to pick up groceries and know better than to shop hungry, so we swung by here for a meal. The location is still newish but the employees seemed like they were having a bit of an off day. I can't blame them, though, because doing any kind of work during this pandemic is absolutely draining. Unlike the Stafford location, they do have a couple of tables and chairs for dine in, plus about four on the patio area just outside the door. The sandwiches are stellar. My wife is a big fan of Philly Cheese Steaks and really seems to enjoy their offerings. I opted to try a cold sandwich (tuna) and it was pretty good. I think I'll be sticking to the hot sandwiches going forward, and probably frequenting the Stafford location unless I'm in a similar situation to what happened on this trip. read more

We came here for the 50% off subs sale for takeout. They had new hours of operation because of COVID 19. We ordered their Big Kahuna cheesesteak and Meatball and cheese subs for dinner. The meatball sub was flavorful, but the bread was too soggy from the marinara sauce. However, the cheesesteak sandwich was bomb. I never imagined I would find a cheesesteak comparable to Tornado Burger's Philly cheesesteak. I found that here. Now, there are differences between these two sandwiches. But, I will say that the Jersey Mike's cheesesteak sandwich was full of flavorful meat, crunchy and tangy peppers and jalapeños, and creamy white American cheese. The bread was nice and chewy and complemented the fillings well. Thankfully, the American cheese acted as a buffer to prevent the sandwich from becoming soggy, unlike the meatball sub. Frankly, I ate more than I should've. Lol. But, I will definitely be back for their delicious cheesesteak sandwiches. Come check them out. read more

Unsanitary practices!! The guy that was making my sandwich didn't have a mask on! I asked why he wasn't wearing a mask since we are still in the middle of a pandemic and he's working with food! He had the audacity to say "It isn't a big deal!" Um, YES it is a BIG deal, especially since you are working with customers' food! I came in wearing a mask protecting you. Why not return the favor and protect me and my food from your germs by simply wearing a mask? After all, I'm patronizing your business. I requested that the other guy who was wearing a mask finish up my order. When I complained to this other employee claiming that he was a manager, he didn't seem to care either. He stated that they don't require masks and he isn't going to enforce it. These guys need better training in sanitation or they need to get out of the restaurant industry! I've been to this location for take-away lunch on several occasions and have ALWAYS received outstanding service and food. This restaurant is always spotless, employees are always welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and the food is consistently fresh, made with care, and delicious. My favorite sandwich is the #11 stickball special, which is the provolone, ham, and salami sandwich. It is not on the menu in store, but it is on the online menu and they have no problem making it, it's always tasty. The meat and cheese is sliced right in front of you as your sandwich is being made to ensure the freshest tasting sandwich. This is way better than some place like Subway. They also feature Stubborn brand sodas in store and I enjoy the agave vanilla cream soda the best...it is always a treat when I visit Jersey Mikes. read more

I had high hopes for this one. It is my first visit today during lunchtime. There are a lot of customers, but I find the sandwich I have ordered only average. I ordered the chicken cheesesteak sandwich. The bread was not anything extraordinary, and the chicken was rough and has no flavors. I did not even finish the sandwich, which pretty much states how disappointed I was with this. At the place, there were four people working behind the counter, but I find it weird that the first guy has to take the orders from customers and also slice the meat. He worked really hard, and he had a great attitude, but it makes no sense that the other three employees were just standing there while a line was forming. At least one of the guys could've offered to helped. Now, it could be that maybe they need to learn how to work the meat cutting equipment but someone can be taking the new orders, while that guy slices the meat. It was a while before the first guy finished and took my orders. Hope they can figure this out because no sense to have three guys waiting for the first guy to finish. Not sure how the other sandwiches with deli meat taste like (I don't eat pork and beef), but I give credit that the deli meat were all nicely arranged on the sandwiches, and it does look quite appetizing though I can't eat it. The best thing about this place is that they use he freshest ingredients and even slice the meat mad cheese for your sandwich right in front of you. I got the gigantic Big Kahuna sandwich which is basically a Philly cheese steak with the addition of mushrooms and jalapeno peppers along with extra cheese. I was very impressed with the quality and the taste of the sandwich. The sandwich was filled with a generous amount of meat and vegetables, and cheese and they sliced the bread properly (not all the way through) so that you could actually pick the sandwich up and eat it . This is by far, the closest I can get to what we call in CT a grinder. The main difference of course is the bread as grinders are made on fresh, baked daily, Italian hoagie rolls. I always get the Italian, Mike's way and the chipolte cheese steak. As I'm also a huge fan of cheese steaks, this is the best I've found here in Houston.
