I wish I would have taken pictures. This place is beautiful on the inside. But enough about the interior. The burgers and fries are phenomenal! I called in the order and we got a Double and a Single Combos. Let me start with the French fries. They are seasoned (a hot spicy seasoning) and crispy to perfection! And now the Burgers were definitely smashed which made them overflowing the bun. They were really juicy with their sauce just completes the burger and meal. Oh they have shakes too! One thing I can say about smashburgers: If you tried one, you've pretty much tried them all. In this current economy, just the stick to the one that closest to you and save the gas. You're going to get two smashed patties, cheese, onions, and some burger sauce. If you're lucky, you may get some decent fries. That being said, the fries were amazing. I'm not Much of a French fry person. They were perfectly crispy and seasoned very well. As far as the burger goes, I got a double smash. Very moist burger and bun was very soft. Was craving something to eat, and this was the only late night spot open around me that wasn't straight fast food, so I had to try it out! The decor was simple but matched the vibes well, I loved the yellow. I showed up around 1:30 am, and my order was ready within 5 minutes. I ordered the single smash burger (I should have gotten a double or triple, considering how hungry I was) with curly fries, and the entire meal was sooo good. The burger was well seasoned, and the bread for the buns was perfectly buttery and soft. Went on a Monday night around 8pm and it wasn't busy. It's a new and clean establishment. Love the simplicity of the decor. The price of the burgers are pretty reasonable. The cashier was patient as we were trying to figure out what to order. The restaurant is small, but seating is available. No TV or bar. They sell canned and bottled drinks. I had the double smashed burger and curly fries. The curly fries were more than enough. The burger was good, but not as filling to me. The sauce on the burgers had a little spice kick to it. Tried this relatively new smash burger spot in Sugar Land. It's a smaller establishment, but there is enough space to dine in if you wish. There is also plenty of parking in the lot it's located on. Inside, you have the option to place an order at the register or use the self-order tablet. Their menu is pretty simple and straightforward, smash burger with either one, two, or three patties. For sides, they have regular fries, curly fries, or onion rings. It's better value to get the meal, as it is cheaper than buying the burger and fries separately. Their drinks are located in a fridge to the left of the register that has an assortment of water and soft drinks. You can also opt for one of their three flavored shakes. The burger was honestly pretty good. I would say next time I will probably opt for the triple patty for the burger itself to be more filling (I got the double this time), but the side of fries they give are plenty and left me full. I really like the "bad" sauce they use on the burger. I also got a side of it to use for my fries since they do not have bbq sauce (I prefer bbq over ketchup). I didn't get a shake because I wasn't feeling something sweet, but next time I look forward to try their caramel toffee shake. Now, there is no bar or TVs, so don't expect it to be a lively atmosphere. However, it is perfect for conversations over a meal that is competitively priced compared to other burger joints. All in all, it is a nice, low-key place for a simple, yet tasty smash burger and I recommend you get a bite! read more

Some would call their menu simple, but I call it confident. Bad Buns knows how to make a damn good smash burger -- I'm talking smaaaaashed.... Pure beef with crispy edges, topped with chopped onions, smothered in cheese, and slathered in-house special sauce. With a burger so well executed, there's no need for frill. We showed up around 11pm and the staff was so incredibly kind. I ordered a double smash with fries and a drink from the cold case (no soda fountain here). The fries automatically come with a spicy seasoning, so I ordered one with spice + one without for my kiddo. They also make shakes, but my Oreo shake wasn't that impressive for $7. My husband ordered a double as well but subbed fries for onion rings. Not sure I'd recommend the onion rings since you don't actually get that many in an order. If you take just ONE thing from this review... make sure to order more of the Bad Sauce. So good I was dunking everything in it. The only negative thing I can say is their parking lot was really bustling, so we ended up using the neighboring hookah bar's valet service ($5). I've been on a smash burger craze this year and have had tried a lot of smash burgers. This spot has to be #3 on my list of favorites so far! I was visiting out of town & was looking for a place to eat late night and this spot popped up. I agree to this being a great place for a late night bite esp over whattaburger lol. The meat was juicy, yet crispy. Everything paired nicely. Although, I didn't like how the bun was basically falling apart and soggy. Tried out Bad Buns in Sugar Land off Highway 6. They are pretty good for a suburb smash burger. They are open late. Until 2 or 3 am!!! Simple menu with burgers, sides, and 3 shake options. Drinks are all canned or bottled. They have singles, doubles, and triple burgers I got the double and it was plenty along with the "bad" fries. The bad fries have sauce, meat, onions, and jalapeños. I got mine with the jalapeños on the side in case it was too spicy, but it actually was just right with them. Inside is small with about 6 or 7 tables. Its clean inside and service was very helpful. If you live close and need a late night buger its worth checking out! read more

I ordered the Triple Smash Burger, Bad Fries, Oreo Extreme Shake and the Mucho Mango Shake. The burger was great, perfectly carmelized crust, and the sauce complimented the burger so we'll, also had a kick to it. Simple concept, cheeseburger and fries with options from 1-3 patties. They also offer shakes but didn't get a chance to try. The restaurant was clean and not busy when we visited so we got our food fast. The burgers are pretty good and fries were seasoned well and had some heat, but I could only see myself eating here again if I need something quick in the area. They have a flavorful smash burger similar to bun slut. The put a sauce that is similar to a Big Mac, in & out, or thousand island sauce which the burger probably doesn't need. Bad fries were crispy and flavorful. Ambience is dark and simple. They don't have fountain machines for water. read more

The ambiance gave a more relaxed and hip spot, the black and neon yellow aesthetics works and the food was exactly what I need. Great taste, melt in your mouth kind of burger and the fries! I know the name is bad buns but truly these burgers are bad (in a good way) to the bone. Smash burgers have been all the craze lately and seem to be the new food trend everyone's chasing, but this chef is not just chasing trends.. they're perfecting it. This has been one of the best smash burgers I've had in Houston. The crispy edges and smashed patty make for a perfect bite. The ratio of onions, sauce, to the beef and bun is perfection. The fries also have a little bit of a masala kick to them. The ambience inside is good for a casual meal with around 8 tables I believe. The service was prompt and I had a good experience. I've heard great things about their mango lassi so I'll for sure have to try that next time! read more

This was a good old fashion smash burger, fries, and shake. The fries were hot and crisp to perfection. The burger was triple and was cooked crispy and cheese melted. Highly recommend getting the shakes. We got a mango and a cookies and cream shake. Both were sweet and not over done. I highly recommend getting a shake with your food. The service was friendly and they brought our food to the table and thanked us as we were walking out the door. The ambiance at the restaurant had a minimalist vibe and fit perfectly. I ordered the double smash with no pickles and curly fries. I got it to go as I don't live far. It was warm when I got home. The curly fries were crispy but not over cooked. The BURGER!
