I got some BOGO coupons from a movie deal they were running and when I went in to redeem the coupons the person that had taken my order agreed when I showed them the coupons. After making it all the way through the line the manager told me that the BOGO coupons were not usable in store, only online, and I would have to pay for both pizzas. It mentioned on the coupon that you could order online but nowhere did it say that you could not redeem it in-person and I was forced to pay for both even after showing my server them prior. I have nothing against blaze and the pizzas were good but this was very shady and put a sour taste in my mouth so I will probably never go back or recommend them to anyone. read more

The food was excellent however that's our only positive. We used to come here all the time but tonight realized they either changed management or stopped caring. We ordered two fountain drinks and two water cups to which we were told they didn't have water cups today. So we asked for regular cups for water and were told they couldn't do that but we could buy fountain drinks to get water??? The people in the party that got fountain drinks tried to get two different sodas both were out and when they brought this up to the workers they were told "yeah they're out." In addition the AC was out, men's room bathroom was broken, women's restroom toilet didn't flush. The BuildYO pizza for $11 or the Two For deal with half a pizza, cheesy bread, and a salad for $11.50 are steals. The pizza at this location is so good. Perfect dough, fresh ingredients, and actually-spicy spicy red sauce. I build my pizza like their vegetarian pizza with ricotta, mozzarella, black olives, and artichokes. Yum. The lady whom I hope is the owner does it all and does such a great job. I can see how it could get slow but it was fine when I went at 12pm. We visited Blaze Pizza in Sugar Land for the first time on 8/22. The service was decent at the counter, but once we got home, we noticed our pizzas were soggy (which seemed to be more of a crust issue than how they were made). Because of this, we didn't finish them. The next day, my husband called the store to explain what happened and was asked to bring back the pizzas along with our receipt. We did exactly that. Upon arrival, we spoke with the same woman he had spoken to on the phone. She told us she was the manager though we later learned she was not. After inspecting the pizzas, she told us we couldn't get a refund. My husband explained we weren't asking for money back, only that the pizzas be remade. She insisted nothing was wrong and said she couldn't make them on a different crust because she had no way to charge for it. She then pretended to "call" someone for approval, though she was really speaking with the actual manager who was standing nearby the entire time. When pressed again about who the manager was, she admitted that it was Marcy. After some back-and-forth, Marcy finally agreed to remake the pizzas but only on the same soggy crust that was the original issue. This entire interaction was disappointing. We weren't asking for anything free we followed their instructions, brought the pizzas and the receipt back, and were still met with rudeness and dishonesty. Customer service here was severely lacking. While the ingredients seemed fresh, the way this was handled left a bad taste in our mouths. MOD Pizza continues to be a better option not just for quality, but also for customer service. We had high hopes after reading good reviews, but our first experience here will likely be our last. Outdoor seating is pretty nice here especially with some shade from the trees so with the pandemic, it's been a nice eat out option. Pizza is always crispy and fresh ingredients. We discovered the take 2 recently and really enjoyed the berry salad ( lots of yummy strawberries and blueberries) along with the dressing, make salad much easier to eat! The half pizza is also crispier which is a nice benefit! My only issue was the lemonades were all very watered down last time. Love this location. I always get the Take Two as I love getting half the pizza with a side. Value is great and they give a pretty generous amount of toppings compared to other blaze pizzas or other pizza places I've been to. I really like Blaze, I think they have good toppings and give a good amount. I usually get the take 2 which give a half pizza and a choice of a cheesy bread or salad. How can anyone not love Blaze?! Unlike some other build your own pizza chains, Blaze has far superior ingredients. Everything always tastes fresh and, most importantly, very very delicious. I've been to this Blaze probably about 20 times now and have always been 100% satisfied with the quality, taste and customer service. Last time we came, Francisco was our genius pizza builder and he was extremely nice and helpful. You know when you go to a Blaze, Salata or Chipotle and get shy and nervous asking for "more please"? Well, Francisco never made me feel bad for asking for "more" and continued to top my pizza with all the toppings I wanted! Further, he had touched the mozzarella but then I had asked for vegan cheese (for lactose intolerant reasons). He immediately asked me if I wanted him to change out his gloves. This type of attention to detail seems obvious, especially with so many dietary restrictions now a days - but you would be surprised on how many people don't realize/care. I love Blaze Pizza! Although it's just another Build-Your-Own pizza chain, it's consistently delicious and fairly priced (especially for all the toppings you can choose from!). There are a few key aspects that make their pizza so awesome! The crust has a nice crisp and chewiness to it, the sauce is robust, and they have a vast assortment of toppings. I also appreciate that they offer vegan friendly cheese which is actually quite delicious! Service is usually a hit or miss, but regardless, in the end my stomach is full of pizza - that's a win! We really appreciated Francisco today when building our pizza. He greeted us, asked us how we were doing, built our pizzas with a positive attitude, and was overall friendly. When we asked for vegan cheese, he was courteous enough to ask if we would like to change his gloves (which we didn't require since we got it mainly for lactose reasons). The extremely super thin crust lacked a yeasty flavor & was not chewy but oily, nor was it strong enough to support the toppings. The crust was also flavorless. Last Sunday we ate a gluten free crust with the same toppings at M*D Pizza, and it was perfect. The crust was much thicker, was not oily (like Blaze GF crust was) and had flavor. Also M*D Pizza's GF crust was not stretched to oblivion as Blaze's gluten free crust was that we ate today. We have eaten the same GF pizza at Blaze's over a year ago. and their crusts then did not have this problem. They have apparently changed how they do their GF crusts. They are tasteless, not yeasty, oily, flavorless, and unable to support an average amount of toppings. Not going back. read more

I've never been to Blaze before and we were coming back from Galveston and decided to grab a bite before going home. The back patio overlooked a beautiful man made pond/Lake/ fountain area.. It was definitely a perfect day for a bite to eat outside. I have never been here before and didn't really know how it the process of ordering worked so I ordered 2 pizzas and thought we had to pay once the pizza was made. So I walked outside to give my dog a little walk around the pond. No one even bothered to let me know that I should have paid beforehand or just could have stopped me before walking out since I stood by the register for a few minutes. They knew I was in the back with my dog. I think they could have informed me at least! The guy in the front was rude and very impatient. The pizza wasn't that great either! It's a pizza place. We don't usually go to many pizza places if it isn't our go to but we opt to try out a new place. We actually stumbled on to this place while visiting Austin and our daughter wanted pizza. I searched for the closest place and we ordered it in the car and within 5 mins of arriving it was done. Was tasty but a bit pricey for its size. I later on found out this is a franchise as well since there is one in my local neighborhood. It's not a big chain but perhaps catching on cuz they have a brick fire oven pretty much like mod pizza. Updated review: The gorgeous and spacious outdoor patio alone gets 5 stars for me. Loved the hanging lights. We came here on a comfortable, cool night to get some Blaze pizza in for dinner. We kind of overdid it on the toppings and put all kinds of meats and veggies on this bad boy. Lol. But, for me, less is more. Too many toppings made the pizza more soggy and not as crispy as we'd like. So, next time, I plan to get their pizza with mozzarella and parmesan cheese, red sauce, sausages, chicken, mushrooms, basil, arugula, and pesto drizzle. We also ordered their garlic, cheesy pesto bread, which was disappointing because we didn't taste any garlic or pesto flavor. The cheese was barely there. So, this was essentially doughy bread.
