Delicious gyro burrito. It was huge!
    Kelly S.

I've only ordered from here through Uber Eats. Tonight they had a bogo gyro burrito. Y'all! This stuff is so amazing. I got lettuce, mixed rice, some sauces and a scoop of hummus. The proportions are huge! And the flavors were so good. We got two huge burritos because of the bogo sale. So we had dinner tonight and saved half of the burritos for lunch tomorrow. That's a bargain. The way we had them prepared had a bit of spice. And I love that you can customize them how you want. They also have loaded fries! We got some baklava for dessert. You call definitely taste the honey. It was so good. We'll be going back soon. This was fantastic and I love that it's also inexpensive for what you get. I got 4 meals out of two burritos. And one was free!

Never really busy when I come. Fries are hot & fresh. The gyro salad are good, not the best though. The ingredients are fresh, the staff are friendly and the place is super clean. Located in Heb parking lot next to howdy chicken.

A friend and I went to get Gyro because we were in the mood and the first thing that came to mind was Gyro Republic. I have never been yet until now, but my overall impression was really good. Both the service and the food was outstanding, the employees were helpful and kind. Unfortunately when we went to sit at one of the tables for dine in, it wasn't properly cleaned. That really took away from the experience. If you're not there for the place but a meal, then I would say "Yes!" go for here for Gyro!

This place is new so they are still trying to get into their groove - and that's okay. Out of the gate, they truly have potential -- and good food. I popped in today, craving a gyro. Upon entering, the place looked trendy so I got a little nervous that my food wouldn't live up to expectations. They proved me wrong. I had a gyro and sampled a few sides. I'll start with the gyro. One of the things I dislike most is pre-packaged gyros meat that comes in a consistent rectangular shape. It means the restaurant gets it like that from the supplier. This isn't the case. You can see the rotisserie spinning -- they shave and char the gyro right then and there. In addition to making the food in house, they offer a wide variety of additions that you can add to the gyro. I went with onions and tzatziki -- and it his the spot. The pita is soft - a little "floury" and it just tastes great. The sides were good as well, but truth me told - the gyro is what made me like this place. As I mentioned, this place is new. The folks behind the counter are learning and getting into their groove. Come in with a little patience -- and enjoy the awesomeness that they put on your tray. I will be back!

Yum, yum, yum. Build my own gyro with all the toppings I want? Don't mind if I do! This is a small little place located in the HEB complex at 99 and 59. There are a couple of tables inside - I think 5/6 tables in total. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by the staff, always a nice gesture. There are three base options: pita, rice, or salad. The rice and salad choices come in smalll or large. I ended up going with a small rice and it was the perfect amount of food for me. Their container has two compartments, rice is placed on one side and shredded lettuce on the other. Then you get to choose your lettuce toppings: onions, cucumbers, jalapenos, chick peas, olives, corn, tomatoes, and feta cheese (I may have missed one or two toppings). Next you choose your protein: chicken, gyro, or falafel. I chose the gyro which was well seasoned and juicy. I went with the mild orange sauce on the side so I could control how much sauce was added - a little goes a long way. I mixed everything in my box together and went to town, it was delicious!

Unpopular opinion, but I am not a fan of Halal Guys so I was excited to try Gyro Republic to see if it was any good. This place was pretty solid. I think other restaurants who do the same thing end up making their food super greasy, not this place! I didn't have to wait too long in line and I got the rice bowl with combo meat. I don't always love the gyro mix at restaurants, but I am glad I gave this one a try. The gyro mix was seasoned very well and I definitely liked it better than the chicken (tbh- I didn't care too much for the chicken). There were quite a few toppings you could choose: lettuce, peppers, jalapeños, corn, chickpeas, feta, etc. They also have three sauces you can add, creamy white sauce, Mild Orange sauce, red hot sauce. I put creamy/mild on my bowl and regret not getting the red hot sauce. I thought the mild was too mild for my liking. I will have to try the red next time!

Solid gyro platter! Loved the variety of toppings available. Probably the most topping options compared to halal guys and gyro king. The gyro and chicken meat were tasty but a bit dry. Also, the red sauce is flaming hot so i recommend getting it on the side.

Gyros smaller than a dollar bill!

Today was my first and last time ordering here. I always order just meat in my gyro, and everywhere else, it's overflowing the pita. Not this place. They serve hotdog size gyros. 8 bucks for this?

He explained about their dishes and how everything is made home made.. They seemed very proud of their food which is a good start. Was going to order lamb plate but last minute I changed to pita wrap. The meal came with fries and drink. Total came up to around $17.31 which I feel like it was little on the high end. I was disappointed to see that they did not have a drink fountain and I had few choices of can soda from a drink cooler. Not a deal breaker but I hate paying for drink at a restaurant and I get a can soda. My food came and looked yummy. I was pleasantly surprised to see the fries topped with sauces. Started with fries and they were nice and jot/crispy. Extra sauces on them made them more flaverful. I took my bite with pita wrap and, man was it yummy. Full of flavor, I think it was lamb or lamb and beef gyro. I don't remember what the guy told me but it was very yummy. It was probably the best gyro/pita wrap that I've ever had. I would definitely come back here again if I am ever on this side of town/state.

I've had their lamb & beef koobideh which are good & flavorful, however, I'm impressed with the chunks (not slices) of tender meat on the gyro wrap. I also like that you can see them putting on the toppings & you can ask for more or less while they are making it. The Afghan salad isn't for me. It's a very strong mint taste which perhaps is a standard ingredient but it caught me off guard as one who doesn't prefer mint. I've only done to-go, but they also have several tables for you to dine-in. For lunch, I will say you definitely should order ahead & allow ample time. They get really busy & the last couple times I visited, my order wasn't ready 20-25 min after I ordered it in advance. Hopefully they can figure out a formula to handle the lunch crowd as to not run off customers with limited time. With that said, the food is good. Give them a try!

When we entered the vibe was relatable to the name of the restaurant but after a few minutes we heard Bollywood songs and I love Bollywood songs but I feel like the vibe of the restaurant should relate to the cuisine and ambiance. It automatically gives an impression that the restaurant isn't Greek or Lebanese for example. Anyway, we had ordered kibeh and lentil soup for appetizers. The lentil soup was the worst lentil soup I've ever had it was frozen we asked them to heat it but it still tasted disgusting. I couldn't eat it. The kibeh was alright the dip with the kibeh was good. For entrees, we ordered the chicken shawarma plate and combo kebabs. The plates came with a salad the dressing was interesting but I'm not a fan of feta cheese so I didn't have the salad. The shrimps and chicken kebab of the combo kebabs were not bad I really liked the shrimps. The hummus was okay and the rice was very bland. The service was quick I believe because everything felt like it was pre-cooked except for the kebabs but the beef kebab wasn't cooked entirely one of the pieces it was raw. The shawarma was not good at all! Very disappointing Our bill was $60 and we were charged a 2.5% fees for credit card!

When we arrived on a Tuesday evening, it was empty other than maybe one other family. When we entered we were told to pick a seat and then given the menus. The second I saw the menu it seemed a bit expensive- I was looking at the vegetarian plate where you can pick 5 which was for $25 I think- I got falafels, tazeki, hummus, another spread, pickled turnips. They didn't have many other options that were appetizing- I'm not into the eggplant or okra. While waiting for the food the waitresses were sitting on their phones chatting laughing, I thought it was unprofessional, that's not what you want to see when you go to a nice place. We were given salad- the salad already had dressing on it which was spicy! Me and my friend could not figure out what it is - it was tangy spicy I think from garlic more chemically tasting rather than Cheyenne spicy. A bit too spicy for both of us. I would have wished they put the dressing on the side so we can add on our own. The food arrived and was given pita bread as well which was nice. The food was not flavorful, the hummus tasted Bland, falafels were actually pretty good but only were given . The pita bread I was hoping was gonna be fluffy but this was so thin and chewy didnt like it. Everything wasn't to my liking or lacking something except the falafels which I only had two of. I think the falafel wrap might have been a better option but due to the price I won't be back.

The local following is impressive, but seeing as they have a perfect rating across different platforms, they're clearly doing something right. I ordered the beef and lamb chunks, a $27 (with tax) which had the perfect amount of char with just a hint of smokiness. Despite the price, I was floored at how delicious it was. The chicken shawarma arabi ($12) is a popular choice, while the mixed grill ($18) provides some variety between the meats. The chicken skewer ($6) and lamb with fat ($7) were both outstanding.
