This is a cute spot that's well lit from all the windows. Our server was very attentive and understood everything we wanted to order. I got the Garlic Crispy Catfish fillets and a cup tom yum soup. The tom yum was great, had a lot of energy and flavor. I enjoyed the garlic catfish as well. Their pad see eew was tasty as well. Their Thai tea was delicious and filling. I will likely come again and try their other dishes.
The beef drunken noodles are delicious! One of the best halal Thai places in Houston. Inside is clean. Can get busy but we've never had an issue waiting too long for a table. Service is quick.
Delicious Thai food in sugarland! The interior is not huge and we were surprised to see the restaurant so busy on a Saturday early dinner (~5:30pm). The service was great. All wait staff help with all tables here. I tried the khao soi which was a tasty curry dish with crispy noodles and a unique presentation. I also tried the drunken noodles and liked the unique sauce they use with a hint of smoky flavor. It was nice to see most food can easily be made vegan or vegetarian upon request. I did see a photo of prior menus offering vegan protein but they must have gotten rid of that as the menu we were offered only had tofu as the vegetarian protein options. Unfortunately they may not be as family friendly as we initially thought. We were disappointed to see that they charged 18% gratuity for a table of three adults with two kids (that are less than three years old). The food was good so I would likely come back still.
Located in Sugar Land, we came here for a late lunch on a weekend. Plenty of parking spaces in the plaza. It wasn't crowded so we got seated right away. A lot of the usual Thai dishes on the menu. We went with some of our favorite Thai dishes, something that was easy to share for a table of 6. You can pick your spice level and choose a protein (e.g. chicken, beef, veggie, seafood for an additional charge). - pad see ew - pad thai - crab fried rice - thai red curry - papaya salad - mango sticky rice We enjoy everything we ordered. My favorites were the crab fried rice and papaya salad. Good portion and the spice level was tolerable. The mango sticky rice was perfect way to end the meal. Service was friendly and quick. Our server checked in on us many times and asked if everything was good. Overall, a solid Thai spot in the area to check out.
Great food! The Khao Soi had a slightly fishy after taste on certain bites for me, but I still really enjoyed it and would get it again next time! Yellow curry was my favorite, and the papaya salad is my favorite one I've tried at any Thai restaurant! We got everything medium spicy, and it had a great spice level! I will say a quick warning that the tom yum soup did taste a lot spicier than we expected!! Still really good though! We also ordered some cocktails that were amazing! They took awhile to come out, but they were quite busy on a Friday night so I'm sure that's why. Waiters were all very nice, and we loved the way it's decorated inside! Very bright and inviting

There was also plenty of parking. My only major quip is that upon entering, the tables were filthy. All of the empty tables had their dirty dishes still left out because, according to the waiter, there wasn't enough ppl working.

This is a top tier Thai spot & I'm genuinely happy that I got to enjoy it. * Chicken Satay - 4/5, peanut sauce was delicious pairing * Khao Soi (classic, delicious egg noodle soup) - 4.5/5 * Crab fried rice - 5/5, THIS IS THE BEST CRAB FRIED RICE I EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, good portion of crabs & not too salty or under-seasoned, it was perfect * Mango sticky rice- 4/5, we were already full but I can't passed up one of my favorite dessert, they were extremely generous with the coconut milk that it overpower the mango flavor, minus 1 point for personal's preference * Green Thai Tea - 5/5, I never had green Thai tea before and it officially became my new favorite drink! There are plenty of parking spots at this location. Park wherever you like. Shoutout to our server Thy for doing an amazing job. The service was top notch, I think we got asked a decent amount of times if we need anything else or is the food to our liking, some people might not like that but I think that's better than being ignored by the servers the entirety while I'm there. I did noticed the servers were extremely accommodating to people wanting to move tables & spots around, so that's a plus for accommodation. The inside of the restaurant is super cute & modern, the only con it was super loud in the restaurant that I had to either repeat myself multiple times or scream louder than others, management should look into adding sound-absorbing panels, 3/5 for the loudness. I don't know how servers work there without feeling drained or deafening after their shifts.
decent spot for a quick lunch. their spice levels are appropriately spicy and satisfying. they definitely dont skimp on the protein in their dishes. the beef can be a little dry but the chicken is consistently tender. the basil stir fry and red curry are pretty okay. contrary to most reviews, though, the drunken noodles were a bit disappointing. they were too soggy and didnt lacked the wok hei i was hoping for
Although the restaurant is quite small, we were able to fit our party of 9 on a Wednesday night. We started off with the chicken satay and chicken wings for appetizers. The chicken satay was just okay, but the sauces made it better! The chicken wings were really good, and the sweet chili sauce paired great with it! For my entree, I went with the khao soi (curry egg noodle). Everyone was wowed by the presentation! The flavor of the curry was great, and the mild level spice was perfect for me. I really liked how the soft egg noodles paired with the crispy fried noodles on top! My only issue with it was the chicken in the curry, which was quite dry. The chicken pieces were quite thin, so it was probably overcooked. I would definitely come back for the khao soi and chicken wings!
Delicious food! Nice ambiance, small but the environment has a nice aesthetic. Service was attentive as well. We did feel the prices were on the higher side but the food was definitely great quality. Really enjoyed the drunken noodles especially and the pineapple curry was super flavorful. Would def recommend checking this out.

Service was ok; felt slow. First sip of the Thai tea was good initially, however there was a strong/funky lingering tea taste i wasn't crazy about. Tom yum was overpriced but delicious. Most tom yums at other restaurants usually come with shrimp, but at Thai Town you pay extra for the protein chosen. Probably one of the worst khao soi I've had in a while. More on the sour/bitter side than savory. Soft noodles were not good quality; chicken was dry. Not sure if drunken noodle with chicken got left out a bit. Enjoyed the dish but it was lukewarm when brought to the table. Took a while to flag down a worker for the check. Wasn't a terrible experience but there's better Thai options in Sugar Land/Houston area.

Parking was free, and there were ample parking spots. Started with the chicken satay dish, and it was just ok. There wasn't any flavor to the chicken satay nor the sauce that came with it. The pad woon sen was flavorful, but the crab fried rice was a letdown as it was tasteless. The service staff were friendly and polite, but the food wasn't up to par.
Me, my wife and 2 kids had an amazing dine-in experience here. It was our first time here and our waiter Louie made us feel welcomed. After we sat down, he made sure answer all our question and gave us a few recommendations that we will have to try next time... even the pineapple fried rice Louie..even the rest of the staff was nice and welcoming, making sure that even if Louie was at another table taking orders that we were helped or vice versa. Now on to the foods. First I had a bowl of soup in which I can't remember the name. It was a delicious soup that reminded me of something similar to what my Abuela would make when I was younger. A rich broth and cilantro and other herbs to give it a fresh warmth taste. My wife had the crab fried rice which she said that the crab tasted fresh and the fried rice was delicious. My daughters had chicken fried rice in which after watching them devour it all would say it was probably delicious. We then ordered this big beautiful whole fried fish" which was bass" and it was delicious. Most of the meat is already skinned off of the fish and fried making it easier for us to eat. The sauce they put on top had a heavy garlic taste and it was delicious. Next time we come we are going to try the whole fish tilapia. We even had a good amount to take home for our lunch the next day. Our overall experience here was very amazing, so we will back here again for our waiter Louie and the recommendations.

I finally found a Thai place to replace my old favorites that went out of business (Patu and Sawadee). I went to this little café in Sugarland after an appointment. It's tucked away in a new strip of shops and restaurants near the Chuy's and the Cornelius Nursery. The restaurant is cute and spacious and the staff is friendly and attentive without being annoying. The music is a little loud, but not too bad. The food is fantastic. I ordered my three favorites, paad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and massaman curry, hoping at least one would be good. To my surprise, all the were excellent. I ordered the creme brunette for dessert, and it was sublime. The texture was velvety and the caramelization crunchy and tasted like roasted marshmallows. It's served warm, which is different than I'm used to, but it works. I highly recommend this café. I was the only customer at 3 pm, when I arrived, but people began showing up closer to 4 pm. They have a happy hour for appetizers. There is ample parking, as well. read more

Great Thai restaurant in Sugar Land area. Went In Sunday for dinner and luckily got seated instantly. Place was super crowded 15 min after I sat down. Love the Thai tea here (not too sweet). Pad Thai w chicken spice level 3 was perfect. Perfect portion for "family style" meals. Papaya salad was refreshing and flavorful. Would definitely come back. read more

A little outside of our usual area but had some tasty eats and a bonus! Another "if I lived over here I would come more often" place. Friendly service, full bar, shared parking lot, all day HH Mon and Tues Appetizer combo, small but good: coconut shrimp, chicken satay, cream cheese golden bag, crispy cheese roll Beef larb: could have used more lettuce for wrapping Crispy pad thai: new to us! Crispy wide noodles, leaned sweet Roti and curry: good Khao soi with chicken: fave Crab fried rice: rice was a tiny bit overcooked Thai drunken spaghetti with seafood: good Mango sticky rice: typical BONUS super delicious house made chili crisp that you can purchase! Thai Town is a busy thai restaurant in Telfair. It offers a good amount of big tables so you can enjoy with your group and also a bar section so that you can also dine alone if you wish (though to be honest, I wouldn't be mad if they removed the bar area because there was no one sitting at the bar and no bartender working the bar either). The service is fast and friendly and we were seated and attended to very quickly. Of everything we tried, I would say that the Khao Soi, Crispy Garlic Catfish Fillets, and the Drunken Noodles were my favorite. Typically, you will find all of the same dishes on a thai restaurant's menu and they all taste relatively similar. I'm not sure what it is about Thai Town, but all of their dishes have a unique and delicious fragrance. Their stir fried noodles also have a smokiness similar to wok-hei in cantonese cooking. I'm not so certain that this is a hidden gem since it was very busy when we visited around 2pm on a Sunday afternoon, but the crowds and whatever hype there is is valid. The food is tasty and authentic and the prices/portions are more than fair. read more

We tried A LOT of dishes here. Came to thai town for father's day and we ordered a variety of dishes including: papaya salad, drunken noodles, pad thai, crispy catfish, khao soi, green curry, larb and mango sticky rice. The service was very fast and interior was well designed. Food was all very delicious! Our favorite and top contenders were the khao soi and the garlic grispy catfish. The dishes were full of thai flavor and balanced well. I wish they gave a bit more rice than the small bowl for all the curry dishes, but that's just a small knock on the restaurant. I love that this place exists in SL! Been needing some more good thai in the city. Will be back! read more

First time visiting Thai Town after coming from California. such a vibrant place with amazing vibes, authentic culture, and incredible food. Every bite was worth it, and the atmosphere made the experience even better. Definitely a spot I'd come back to again. read more

I walked in as a party of three and was seated promptly. One thing that was interesting was this place was quite loud somehow. The interior is cutely decorated and it's a fun vibe. Our waitress was very kind and patient with us girlies who were keen on getting a yap session in but kept forgetting to see what we wanted to order. We decided to go family style and order the khao soi, pineapple fried rice, and pad kee mao. We also tried the cheese rolls. While the food was "good", I would not say that this tasted like authentic Thai food. The pad kee mao was a very dark brown and gummy, the pineapple fried rice was a not giving UTs usual taste that you'd get elsewhere, and the khao soi was decent. However, there's strong flavors in Thai food that just were not present. I'm curious to know what their curries taste like. The employees were really cool about family style and offered us extra plates and bowls and even offered to box up our leftovers. I'd say that this place is good if you want to get your Thai fix, but would not call it authentic. read more

We were debating between our usual go to Thai or try a new Thai place and it did not disappoint. Service was great, food was awesome. -Cream cheese golden bag (4/5) -Roti and Curry (5/5) -Papaya Salad (3/5) -Pad Se Ew (5/5) -Basil Fried Rice (5/5) -Panang Curry (4/5) Everything was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Most place when you get less spice the flavoring isn't all there but not in this case. My only complaint was the papaya salad wasn't as flavorful. read more

It was okay. My pad Thai which came out to around $20. I wasn't impressed with the food for the price but the food tasted fine. Idk if it's me or not but it was also a bit red which I have never seen before. read more

Came here to celebrate Father's Day. It was packed! Obviously a popular local spot. The food was delicious, very well seasoned and flavorful! The service was also good. Delightfully delicious Thai spot in Sugarland... Thai Taste offers some traditional favorites as well as some surprisingly novel twists. Beef lamb was delicious with the house made chili crisp. Crab fried rice was full of lump crab meat. Khao soi was every bit what we wanted. And we ordered the pad Thai with the crispy noodle option, which we had never seen before, but gave an interestingly novel twist on the old pad Thai. Overall very happy with our meal. read more

We came for father's day lunch, and it wasn't a long wait at all. The staff were super friendly and our server greeted us immediately. The place is also decorated nicely with modern interior and greenery! We got a bunch of dishes to try family style, but the ones that stood out most were the Garlic Crispy Catfish (CS.4) and the Thai Drunken Noodles (N3). The catfish was crispy on the outside and hot on the inside and full of flavor. I also enjoyed the drunken noodles over the pad thai and I loved that nothing was too oily or underwhelming. Everything tasted great and we finished all our dishes! I do think that the thai ice tea was just okay and nothing crazy. I'd definitely recommend coming checking this place out if you're in sugar land! read more
Tried while on the road and there were many people there for a Monday! They have an extensive menu and tried the chef special spicy catfish. Got the medium which was perfect because they go extra spicy here. Also have khao soi which I don't see all the time at other places. Great service and quick, I'm sure their Curries and noodles would be great too read more
