    Thai tea
    Tiffany H.

Was looking forward to trying Thai Town since a coworker said the ratings were good. Unfortunately, this place was a miss for me. If you dine here, it's more for the aesthetics and not the food. Service was ok; felt slow. First sip of the Thai tea was good initially, however there was a strong/funky lingering tea taste i wasn't crazy about. Tom yum was overpriced but delicious. Most tom yums at other restaurants usually come with shrimp, but at Thai Town you pay extra for the protein chosen. Probably one of the worst khao soi I've had in a while. More on the sour/bitter side than savory. Soft noodles were not good quality; chicken was dry. Not sure if drunken noodle with chicken got left out a bit. Enjoyed the dish but it was lukewarm when brought to the table. Took a while to flag down a worker for the check. Wasn't a terrible experience but there's better Thai options in Sugar Land/Houston area.

Food was great, as was its presentation. The service was also quite quick and I enjoyed the variety of options. Probably more of a modern Thai place rather than traditional. There was also plenty of parking. My only major quip is that upon entering, the tables were filthy. All of the empty tables had their dirty dishes still left out because, according to the waiter, there wasn't enough ppl working.

Delicious food! Nice ambiance, small but the environment has a nice aesthetic. Service was attentive as well. We did feel the prices were on the higher side but the food was definitely great quality. Really enjoyed the drunken noodles especially and the pineapple curry was super flavorful. Would def recommend checking this out.

First time visiting Thai Town after coming from California. such a vibrant place with amazing vibes, authentic culture, and incredible food. Every bite was worth it, and the atmosphere made the experience even better. Definitely a spot I'd come back to again.

Came here after lunch hour, and the restaurant was still a little packed. There was no wait for a table for two. The restaurant was decorated simply. Parking was free, and there were ample parking spots. Started with the chicken satay dish, and it was just ok. There wasn't any flavor to the chicken satay nor the sauce that came with it. The pad woon sen was flavorful, but the crab fried rice was a letdown as it was tasteless. The service staff were friendly and polite, but the food wasn't up to par.

I walked in as a party of three and was seated promptly. One thing that was interesting was this place was quite loud somehow. The interior is cutely decorated and it's a fun vibe. Our waitress was very kind and patient with us girlies who were keen on getting a yap session in but kept forgetting to see what we wanted to order. We decided to go family style and order the khao soi, pineapple fried rice, and pad kee mao. We also tried the cheese rolls. While the food was "good", I would not say that this tasted like authentic Thai food. The pad kee mao was a very dark brown and gummy, the pineapple fried rice was a not giving UTs usual taste that you'd get elsewhere, and the khao soi was decent. However, there's strong flavors in Thai food that just were not present. I'm curious to know what their curries taste like. The employees were really cool about family style and offered us extra plates and bowls and even offered to box up our leftovers. I'd say that this place is good if you want to get your Thai fix, but would not call it authentic.

A little outside of our usual area but had some tasty eats and a bonus! Another "if I lived over here I would come more often" place. Friendly service, full bar, shared parking lot, all day HH Mon and Tues Appetizer combo, small but good: coconut shrimp, chicken satay, cream cheese golden bag, crispy cheese roll Beef larb: could have used more lettuce for wrapping Crispy pad thai: new to us! Crispy wide noodles, leaned sweet Roti and curry: good Khao soi with chicken: fave Crab fried rice: rice was a tiny bit overcooked Thai drunken spaghetti with seafood: good Mango sticky rice: typical BONUS super delicious house made chili crisp that you can purchase! Honestly it really boosted all the dishes and the texture was top tier

Thai Town is a busy thai restaurant in Telfair. It offers a good amount of big tables so you can enjoy with your group and also a bar section so that you can also dine alone if you wish (though to be honest, I wouldn't be mad if they removed the bar area because there was no one sitting at the bar and no bartender working the bar either). The service is fast and friendly and we were seated and attended to very quickly. Of everything we tried, I would say that the Khao Soi, Crispy Garlic Catfish Fillets, and the Drunken Noodles were my favorite. Typically, you will find all of the same dishes on a thai restaurant's menu and they all taste relatively similar. I'm not sure what it is about Thai Town, but all of their dishes have a unique and delicious fragrance. Their stir fried noodles also have a smokiness similar to wok-hei in cantonese cooking. I'm not so certain that this is a hidden gem since it was very busy when we visited around 2pm on a Sunday afternoon, but the crowds and whatever hype there is is valid. The food is tasty and authentic and the prices/portions are more than fair.

We tried A LOT of dishes here. Came to thai town for father's day and we ordered a variety of dishes including: papaya salad, drunken noodles, pad thai, crispy catfish, khao soi, green curry, larb and mango sticky rice. The service was very fast and interior was well designed. Food was all very delicious! Our favorite and top contenders were the khao soi and the garlic grispy catfish. The dishes were full of thai flavor and balanced well. I wish they gave a bit more rice than the small bowl for all the curry dishes, but that's just a small knock on the restaurant. I love that this place exists in SL! Been needing some more good thai in the city. Will be back!

We were debating between our usual go to Thai or try a new Thai place and it did not disappoint. Service was great, food was awesome. -Cream cheese golden bag (4/5) -Roti and Curry (5/5) -Papaya Salad (3/5) -Pad Se Ew (5/5) -Basil Fried Rice (5/5) -Panang Curry (4/5) Everything was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Most place when you get less spice the flavoring isn't all there but not in this case. My only complaint was the papaya salad wasn't as flavorful.

Came here to celebrate Father's Day. It was packed! Obviously a popular local spot. The food was delicious, very well seasoned and flavorful! The service was also good. The food came out quick and fresh. Would recommend this spot if you enjoy Thai food in the area. The spot was a smaller restaurant but definitely very family friendly!

Crispy pad thai... a different take on a traditional dish. I loved it. The crispy wide noodles gave a nifty textural twist.

Delightfully delicious Thai spot in Sugarland... Thai Taste offers some traditional favorites as well as some surprisingly novel twists. Beef lamb was delicious with the house made chili crisp. Crab fried rice was full of lump crab meat. Khao soi was every bit what we wanted. And we ordered the pad Thai with the crispy noodle option, which we had never seen before, but gave an interestingly novel twist on the old pad Thai. Overall very happy with our meal.

On the table was a holder with chopsticks, soup spoons and napkins. It was a chilly, blustery day - I so enjoyed the Henan-style lamb with noodles soup! Three kinds of noodles: wide, hand-pulled with a nice chew; thin, textured tofu; crystal. Happy with the two quail eggs. There was a nice amount of wood ear fungus, kelp? and fresh cilantro. The lamb was tender and the broth flavorful. I saved half of the soup for dinner and chowed down on the pork bun. It was hot and toasty from the bun being grilled. Even on weekdays, this place is consistently busy. The staff are always very friendly, the food tastes fresh and made to order, and I have never had an unpleasant dining experience here. Whenever I come here, I usually order the Cheese Crab Puffs. While this is a fairly standard appetizer at many restaurants, I genuinely think Dumpling World does them better than most places I have tried. The wrapper is lighter and airier while still staying crispy, and the filling leans slightly sweet, which I personally really enjoy. Of course, I also have to order the Pork Xiao Long Bao. The wrappers are impressively thin, and each dumpling is packed with soup. Another must order is the Pan Fried Pork and Scallion Thumb Buns. They are addictively crispy on the outside and filled with juicy, flavorful pork. On this visit, I also tried the Eggplant and Minced Pork Noodles for the first time, and I would definitely order them again. The pork and eggplant were very flavorful, and the hand pulled noodles were thin and satisfying, though slightly overcooked. The sauce was also a bit oily, but that is fairly common with dishes like this, so it did not bother me much. It is just something to keep in mind. Overall, Dumpling World continues to be one of my favorite casual Chinese spots. Between the consistently fresh food, friendly service, and standout dumplings, this is a place I would gladly keep coming back to.

The pork xiao long bao was DELICIOUS; possibly one of my favorites I've ever had! There is a generous amount of soup in there with amazing flavor and unlike many other XLB, it doesn't taste mushy and the broth is very clear. I would come back and just order a bunch of this! We also ordered the beef noodle soup which was just ok to me, the beef had a lot of fatty pieces and less meat and the soul could've haf more flavor. We also ordered the stir-fried green beans with minced pork which was also just ok; the beans were a little on the hard side and we felt that it needed to be cooked longer. For dessert, we saw their specials menu at the counter had chocolate hazelnut dumplings, so we ordered them at the end so it was fresh and hot. It came with 6 dumplings with nutella filling. They were delicious but the amount of nutella definitely starts to hit you after awhile and you have a big mouthful of nutella (not complaining though). These were best when they first brought it out, so definitely wait to order these until the end. Will definitely be coming back for their xiao long bao!!

I have passed by their restaurant many times, but it never occurred to me to go in until one day I was surprised to see them ranked in the top 100 ramen places nationally on Yelp! With less than 300 reviews, I was skeptical at first but was intrigued to give it a try, and I'm so glad that I did! I visited on a Friday afternoon right before New Year's and was greeted warmly by the staff inside. As I was indecisive on what to order in the ramen section, I asked the staff for suggestions. She was kind to walk me through the menu without rushing to get an order, and she mentioned that their most popular item is actually the beef noodles. That was all I needed to make a decision to try the beef noodles. While waiting for the food, I chatted with the staff and learned that the restaurant opened right before the pandemic then shifted their model to take-out only as the pandemic begin. Since then, they've tried to make use of their restaurant space to return to dine-in but it has been difficult to find reliable workers. In the interest of keeping the quality consistent and customers happy, they've decided to make sacrifices to keep the business model as is for take-out only instead of scaling up with additional staff, which is such a shame given the rent in the area is not cheap and they have such a beautiful space! When you hear "take-out only", I know what you're thinking, BUT I promise you this is the best takeout food you will ever have! The packaging is very well-designed to keep the flavors and ingredients at its finest! As I mentioned, I ordered the beef noodles, and typically noodle dishes are not ideal for takeout, but Asia Blue separates the soup from the noodles so that the noodles are not soggy, and even after half hour, the soup stayed warm and flavorful. The noodles also came paired with many mini side dishes as palate cleansers, which were a nice surprise. From my conversation with the staff, I've also learned that this is one of the rare places that truly make their broth fresh from premium ingredients! You can be sure that it's MSG free and packed with healthy nutrients, and that's a quality that you can taste. I highly recommend this place for your next ramen adventure, and I certainly will be returning again very soon to try the other menu items. :)

Since it is only two people, it can be slow to get your food when it is busy. I waited an additional 20 mins from the projected time it was suppose to be done. As for the food, the miso ramen was packed in this fancy box. The box contained the soup separated from the noodles with a few side dishes. I believe this is the only vegi ramen they offer. It is nothing special. The broth is basically miso soup with soy sauce. (2 out of 5) The cold sesame noodles was better. It had more flavor. (4 out of 5) The Salt & Pepper Chicken was good (4.5 out of 5). I couldn't help eating it while in the car, as it smelled so good. The Braised Pork over rice was decent. It was cut up thick pork belly, braised in an Asian brown sauce. The flavoring was a little one sided. (3 out of 5). I'm giving this place an overall 3 stars because the food isn't something to rave about. Packaging and presentation were great, but tastes was more important to me.

We ate two items, noodles and wontons, as these didn't need the steamer (the only two food items we were able to get). They were great and had us looking forward to everything else that we didn't get to have. Server offered us coupons for a free item on our next visit. We told him we didn't live in the area and he still practically forced us to take the coupon that we told him we didn't want instead of just giving us a discount or just letting us pay, leave, and reject a coupon we can't use.

The pork xiao long bao was really good, super flavorful and juicy. I wasn't a big fan of the boiled dumplings, but the pork wontons were very delicious and made up for it. The sweet and sour cucumber was also really good, though I would recommend getting the sauce on the side. The servers were very attentive and kind. Overall, a great place to check out if you're a dumpling lover. I'll definitely be back to try more items!

Pho Ben is one of my favorite pho restaurants in the Houston area. It's located in Sugar Land…read morerather than Little Saigon, inside a large strip center with plenty of parking, which makes it very convenient. The restaurant itself is spacious, with lots of tables, including high-top seating and benches along the walls. There are easily a few dozen tables, so it can accommodate a big crowd. Even though it gets busy--especially around lunchtime on weekends--I rarely see a long wait because of how large the dining area is. Pho Ben offers excellent value. A small bowl of pho is $11 and a large is $12, with at least 15-20 different combinations of meats to choose from, including rare steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, and meatballs. One nice touch is that if you order rare steak, you can request it on the side, so it arrives on a separate plate and you can add it to your hot broth yourself and cook it exactly how you like. Each bowl also comes with the usual fresh garnishes like bean sprouts, mint, basil, and jalapeño. Service is always friendly and attentive, with multiple servers checking on tables. The pho usually comes out in about 10 minutes, piping hot, and the broth is consistently flavorful. This is one of my go-to pho spots in the Houston area, and I highly recommend it if you're in or around Sugar Land.

I had to use the restroom, and I think this is the part that I dislike about Jinya. They only have two restaurants, one from men one from women. But that's not the real issue. The real issue is anytime you walk into Jinya, there's someone always in the restaurant and that someone is usually an employee. It's time to pleasure problem with this is that both restrooms were occupied by male employees. And when I went into the women's restroom, because they sat in there so long you could smell, they've been vqping. Can you build more restrooms instead of two. My gyoza came out and it was amazing. Hi ramen came out - don't look different. and tasted differently also from the last time I remember. Begin this is the first time at this location. No, it tastes good, but didn't taste as good as previously from other Jinya restaurants. It just did not remind me of Japan as the others, immediately did.
