Lately I've been in a Thai food journey and found this place with a friend late at night which unfortunately we did not receive the best service, we arrive 1 hour & 20 mins before closing, then server proceeded to tell us kitchen closes in a hour so immediately we felt rushed to order. We started off with crab cream cheese rolls which oh my were so good 5/5, we also got the fried wings I can't remember the name but they were so crispy but the chicken was really bruised and we just didn't like that we can see the discoloration so we didn't eat them. For entree of course we got pad Thai, now servings were so huge me and my friend could've shared one plate, the noodles were so good and flavorful 5/5. On the last 20 mins before closing we got told kitchen was closing and to order dessert if we wanted to so of course we went with the mango sticky rice, now for the kitchen to be closing up they presented it so beautifully which we appreciated now the mango was so sweet and the rice was warm it just went so well together we wanted to get more lol but till next time if I'm in the area I will be going on but with time to get better customer service.

I was very excited to try this restaurant, drove out of the way to get here on Monday, arrived at 8:10PM, 50 mins before they closed at 9 PM. I noticed the covered patio immediately upon walking up to the restaurant, cool greenery wall and decors. The inside of the restaurant is modern, clean, and pretty! The hospitality was lacking, unfriendly hostess - no smile, dropped menu at table and walked away. I almost left but decided to stay, since I heard the food is great. The server was attentive at the time of our order but once the food arrived, service was gone. The lights came on brightly at 5 minutes before 9 P. We never got a last call for food, so missed ordering dessert. When we asked at 10 mins til, was advised the kitchen was closed. Most of the food was great. Here is what we had: * Grilled ribeye Panang curry - beef is so tender and curry is rich but not overpowering. One of my favorite curries so far! * Grilled chicken Thai papaya salad - not sure how chicken can taste so tender and juicy but it is delicious! Love the crunchy, thin piece of papaya. This is a very tasty dish! * Lard na - I was very confused by this dish. It tasted like the noodles were battered and fried but were tasteless. I couldn't tell what was noodles and what was the batter. This dish was underwhelming and would not recommend. * The jasmine orange tea and the mango fruit tea were both refreshing - would definitely recommend. When the server came by after informing us that the kitchen was closed, we asked for to-go boxes. So she promptly took away our dishes to box them up but we were still eating! I took that as a sign that we were getting kicked out, noted that there were three other tables still dining. The parking garage is attached to the restaurant building but was packed on a Monday night. Not sure if that's the norm. Due to the service, I may wait a few months before I'll venture back to try this place again. Or maybe I'll just order for delivery.

Recently met up with some friends in the Sugarland area and we decided on Thai's Thumbz for dinner. Weird name, but great food. It is located in the Sugarland Town Square vicinity. There is street parking, but odds are you'll need to go into the free garage which is steps away from the restaurant. Free parking and great food makes the burbs my favorite place to go. Reservation options weren't available online but I imagine you can probably call ahead if need be. We came at dinner time on a Friday night and were able to get a table right away in their spacious patio. The restaurant itself is very nice inside and out and has a high end feel to it. Customer service was straight business but still ok. Between my friends and I, we saw stuff on social media and online to have a pretty good idea of what to get. I started off with a Thai beer called Singha which was nice and refreshing. My friends got different cocktails and enjoyed them, especially the lychee martini. For the table, we started off with the popular Heaven Beef. It was marinated, fried beef with sticky rice. This was indeed heavenly. The little strips of beef were so flavorful on it's own, but the sauces they provided gave it some heat plus an added layer of flavor. For entrees, we went family style and got a few different items. We saw a nearby table get the chef's special Bone-In Ribeye. It looked like a mini tomahawk but was still a generous portion. It was MKT priced which ended up being close to 90 bucks. This steak was amazing, but we felt it was a bit overpriced. For a curry dish, we went with the Panang Curry with chicken. This dish was so good. We got everything at pretty high spice levels which was the way to go. For a rice dish, we got the Garlic Shrimp Fried Rice. They know how to do fried rice here. The shrimp in it was large and plentiful. The garlic flavor was definitely there but not overpowering. For a noodle dish, we got the Pad See Ew with shrimp. Another hit. All the portions were generous. I usually never leave a Thai spot with mango sticky rice, but no room this trip. Overall, Thai Thumbz has made it high on my favorite Thai restaurants in the Greater Houston area. I will most definitely be back.

The servers were kind and helpful. Unfortunately the other Yelp reviews were correct and they're a bit disorganized and things don't flow smoothly. I'll start by saying the food was great. Very flavorful and fresh. The lunch portions are on the smaller size so you may want to consider a non-lunch entree if you're hungry. It's supposed to come with soup or salad. They were out of both. I asked if they could just give us another soup since they were out. That took asking 3 different managers(?) to get answer. Then 2 out of the 8 of; our food came out before any soup, egg rolls or anyone else's food. By the time the last person's food came out we were done. The egg rolls came after everyone had reviewed their food and some had finished. So it was disorganized but they were nice and the food was good. The sticky rice with mango was the most beautiful one I've seen anywhere. It was large and delicious. The family agreed they'd like to come back the next time they we visit Houston and feel like Thai food.

Overall decent Thai restaurant. Food: good but not exceptional Basil Ka Pow. Veggies were perfectly cooked, but the flavors in this dish were muted and something was definitely missing. For an appetizer, the pork satay was good. Overall food was adequate but nothing special at all. Service: quick service Ambiance: bright and airy polished up strip mall Overall cleanliness: above average Value: average value

Thai tea - 7.5/10 - A little too sugary for me, could be stronger and creamier Coconut latte - 7/10 - I liked the coconut flavor but was a little too milky Crab cheese rolls - 7.5/10 - I loved how crispy these were but there was like no crabmeat Shrimp summer rolls - 5.5/10 - These were okay, too much lettuce for my liking Tofu drunken noodles - 8/10 - Tasty but we got this with medium spice and it still lacked flavor/spice Shrimp red curry - 7/10 - Decent but also lacked flavor/spice This spot is NOT halal so we tried their vegetarian and seafood items. Overall the food was decent. The quality was good but I love spice so I thought it lacked spice and flavor compared to other Thai spots ive tried.

Tried Thai Thumbz again with a group of friends. It's centrally located in the busy Sugar Land Town Center, but the restaurant felt congested and the service was slow. We had reserved for 14 people, but they couldn't accommodate all together on the patio, which looks much nicer -- this was not a last-minute request, so that was disappointing. The food is decent but nothing outstanding. Their spice levels are very low, and dishes with basil had almost no flavor. They really need to work on their seasoning and overall flavors to make the food stand out. Overall, it's an okay spot if you're nearby, but don't expect anything remarkable, especially for larger groups.

I would give them more like 3.5. The service was a little slow, but the place was filled. We started of with apps. Eggrolls were flavorful, but the chicken skewers lacked seasoning. For my main I got the ribeye. The portion size was generous, especially with the large bone-in cut, and the side of rice complemented the dish well. Highly recommend trying their grilled options!

I see what the hype is about this restaurant!! 10/10. From the service, to the food and drinks. I came during happy hour, which is 5-7pm M-F. I ordered the papaya salad (hot), chicken pad see ew (medium), and the white lotus (lychee martini. Everything was sooo good! The papaya salad had a great flavor, and the perfect amount of spiciness. The pad see ew was cooked to perfection as well. The martinis were only $6, which is a steal! I loved the interior too. It's a smaller establishment, but it wasn't super busy when I came. The waitress was so nice, and helped me with all of my questions. Next visit, I will be getting the mango sticky rice.

I was in Sugar Land for work, and my family came down to visit while I was in town. We were all craving Thai food, and after researching several options, we decided on Thai's Thumbz for dinner. The menu looked promising, and the photos suggested a more upscale dining experience. We were promptly seated on the outdoor patio since we had my pup with us. It was a bit chilly--nothing the restaurant could control--but I do think patio heaters would make a big difference. A few nearby restaurants had theirs going, and I'll admit I was a bit envious. The staff was friendly, attentive, and worked well as a team to ensure food and drinks came out quickly. However, I was extremely disappointed that our server didn't pace our courses at all. Every dish--appetizers, soups, and entrées--arrived at the same time. Our small table was completely packed, and in the shuffle to make room, a drink was knocked over. With everything served at once, our entrées were cold by the time we got to them, which was frustrating given the prices. As for the food, it was just okay. I've had better Thai food from smaller, more casual spots in town. The spice level was also underwhelming. I usually order a level 3 for a comfortable heat, but since it was cold out, I bumped my green curry to a level 4. It didn't come close--I expected to feel a bit of a burn, but it was only mildly spicy. The flavor was decent overall, but the dish didn't impress. My favorite thing of the night was the mango sticky rice. At this point, I'm not sure I would recommend Thai's Thumbz. If someone does go, I'd suggest ordering "Thai Hot" (level 5) if they enjoy spice, and asking the server to pace the courses to avoid everything arriving at once.

Ive had the pleasure of enjoying Thai thumbs twice and I need to go back for my 3rd time asap so I can try something new lol. The restaurant is so beautiful with complimenting green and gold throughout. Patio and indoor seating available. Loved everything I had the first time so much I had to bring my mom to try. One of the best options is the choose 3 happy hour special. We got the wings, shrimp cakes and fish cakes both times. Personally I thing the shrimp cakes and wings are the best of those 3 so you could switch out the fish cakes for another option. We like to order items one by one to enjoy as courses and sip our drinks throughout. They have a variety of drinks on happy hour as well as teas and smoothies to choose from. My favs: lychee martini , stilleto & mango lychee tea (half sweet) Next we get the heaven beef.. it's so soo good might have to start with that for myself instead of sharing next time. It comes with a regular and spicy sauce. Finishing off with the pad see ew with shrimp! Keep in mind this is shared between 2 ppl but you will be so full!! Needless to say we have never tried dessert. Recommended to some out of towners this passed weekend and the loved the curry dish.

The food was amazing!!!! I started out with a mango slush and it was pretty good. I got the seafood pannang curry oh my goodness! We also got the skewers. Everything was so fresh and flavorful! We ended it off with the mango sticky rice and wow that was the best I've ever had. Will be back!
