I wanted to add a second protein of shrimp. they do not just add a charge of +$2 for the shrimp. they try to DOUBLE charge me for the chicken AND shrimp. So a meat charge of +$4 . I could pay this. But it is deceptive and upsetting. On principle I will not. Imagine if I could not pay this and they did this to someone. Terrible. So I will on principle now go somewhere more expensive in sugar land town center. Happily leave because that is wrong. When I ask them about it. They said charging double was intentional and fine. This place is the only thai place in richmond that is free delivery off uber eats so we decided to give it a try - Pad See Ew Beef and Spicy Fish w/ Roti instead of rice. For both dishes, we got medium spice level. WOW. the fish was so crispy and delicious!!! The fact that it was delivered to our home and it was still crunchy... 5 stars immediately. The roti was a tad bit oily.. BUT it was crispy out the outside but thin and soft .. great texture. The red curry that came with the fish, LOVED it. Husband said Pad See Ew was a 8/10.. he wished it had more sauce and the flavor was a bit different than what he was used to. Nonetheless, this place is yummy! will definitely be ordering again. Service was good, ambiance wasn't anything special and usually those are the places I feel like are more authentic. --Roti Dip (5/5) Surprisingly flavorful. Usually at other restaurants I want to soak the roti in the sauce but not here! --Pad See Ew (5/5) Thick thick noodles with lots of flavor, that hint of sweetness soaked into the noodle. I feel like some places miss that mark for this dish. Comes with regular broccoli and Chinese broccoli which I enjoyed as well. --Spicy Chicken Wings (5/5) Crispy, sweet, savory, sour chicken, but it wasn't spicy. Lots of flavor to the core, it wasn't good when we to-go'd it the leftovers though. --Crying Tiger (3/5) Beef was tender but there wasn't much flavor to this either. --Basil Fried Rice (2/5) The rice was still hard and the flavoring was ok. Ive been here several times for lunch but I'm just getting around to reviewing it. I like Thai Square. The quality of the food is very consistent and flavorful. I have had several dishes here over my several visits. I'm a spicy guy, so everything I get at any Thai restaurant is going to be max heat. With that being said, I haven't had anything here that was unbearable but some dishes have been very spicy. My last visit , I had the Pumpkin Curry with shrimp. It was very good and full of flavor. I really enjoyed it. The service is very straightforward. One thing I try to do at restaurants when I go is ask for recommended dishes, even if I'm very familiar with the cuisine. This is one constructive criticism I have for the staff here. I've asked and was just told, order whatever I like. While, I am very familiar with Thai food and what I like, a person new to the cuisine or restaurant may not have the confidence to just choose what they like or may not even know what they like. While this is not a huge deal, it is an area for improvement that I saw. In contrast with some other Thai establishments in the area that have been more customer focused when it comes to inquiries about the menu. The ambiance is casual and relaxed. Our party of three dropped in for lunch. All of us ordered off the lunch menu. We ordered pork Gui Kua ( flat rice noodle ), fried chicken fried rice, and tofu Pad Thai to share family style. The best dish was the Gui Kua. There was plenty of sliced pork and the seasoning of the dish was balanced. The rice noodle was not greasy. The chicken fried rice dish was ok. The fried chicken was a piece of breast. It kind of remined us of a Japanese katsu, but not as good. The fried rice was on the salty side. Pad Thai, a signature dish of any Thai restaurant was a disappointment. The noodle was too dry and out of balance with the tangy and sweet profiles. It was too tangy. The tofu count was too few, four small pieces only. The tofu itself was so rubbery. The dish was also missing the crushed peanut. This dish didn't measure up to so many other Thai restaurants. Table service was excellent. Prices was competitive. There are so many better Thai eateries in greater Houston area, so we will not return. read more

In a word: Wow! This is an excellent family restaurant serving up authentic Thai meals. I ordered the chicken Satay as an appetizer and it was excellent. The peanut sauce that it came with was much more flavorful than most of the Thai spots I've been to. It was so good that I ate the remainder right from the dish! For a main course I had the drunken noodles with pork and I was very impressed. The vegetables were fresh, the meat was plentiful, and the noodles were tender and delicious. The dish was well seasoned and was served with steam still coming off the . The service was fast and friendly and the waitress came back to check on me a number of times. There seemed to only be two people running the restaurant, but they were very efficient and did a great job of getting the food served in a reasonable amount of time. I was so impressed with the food that I ordered some chicken basil fried rice to go. It was $12.00 for the order, but it was over a pound and a half and could easily serve as two main courses or four side dishes, so it was definitely worth it. I drove forty miles one way to try this food, and I can honestly say it was worth traveling 80 miles round trip! I'll definitely be going here again. read more

Just tried this place out for dinner on a Friday night in which both my hubs and I were rather hungry. The interior is simple with an open view to the kitchen. Service was excellent. We ended up ordering quite a few dishes and were not disappointed. Portions were generous and we definitely had leftovers to take home of the entrees. Delicious. -Crispy Sticky Wings (spicy): 5/5 The crisp on these wings was unreal. The sweet chili marinade was delicious and I did not find it spicy at all. 6-7 wings come in one order and they are each a decent size. Wing is very juicy. Entrees: -Drunken noodles w shrimp: 3.5/5 Flat noodles w a spicy sauce plenty of veggies and tender shrimp. Still very good however. Chicken was very small pieces. -Red curry w beef: 5/5 loved the flavor of this curry w the tender pieces of beef and veggies. Perfectly cooked and the medium spice level was great for our palates. Comes with a small plate of white rice. Dessert: -Mango w sticky rice: 4.5/5 This is really out of our usual dessert profiles and pretty exotic for us. It's sticky rice w warm sweetened condensed milk on top w a crunchy garnish and cool sweet mango on the side. I enjoyed it a lot but it wasn't my husband's favorite (he probably would have liked the fried bananas better). I thought it was really good tho and just sweet enough. Overall, very happy w this restaurant and that it's close by to our 'hood. I have been reading glowing reviews on the neighborhood Facebook page that this, the newest New Territory restaurant, is so-o-o good! We came back into town tonight and came right over. They have been open maybe five days and can decide later to add more personality to the very sparse decor. Well now, it's all about the food. I had read that they charged extra for rice that does not come with dishes like the currys. That sounded crazy to me as I always ordered curry that came with rice. I asked May, the co-owner. The owners had restaurants in California and it's a common practice there. To not charge for rice now, they would have to adjust the new prices to absorb the cost of the premium rice they purchase. (No Costco rice for them - there IS a difference!) But, a promotion just went out with menu prices and it would not seem right to start changing prices so soon. They have only lived in Texas two months and there is a lot to learn about this state. So, mollified, I understood and moved on. We ordered the appetizer Spicy Chicken Wings, Larb Gai and Shrimp Pad Thai. The larb came out first. Guess I could have asked to have the wings as appetizer first, but the wings came out shortly after. I prefer the fried Garlic Basil Wings at Pho Shack in the same strip center, but my husband liked these better. They are meaty and have a delicious chili sauce on them. The sauce is house-made and ground FIVE times! The larb was pretty good. My husband liked his pad Thai. The vibrant orchid blossoms on a couple of our dishes are not plastic or silk - they're real and added that exotic touch. Flavors were enjoyable and we took home leftovers. We could see the chefs working and May said she and they are from Thailand but have lived in the states 20 years. When they all decided to leave California, she visited a couple of other states before deciding on Texas, narrowing it down to Sugar Land. She said our hot, humid weather is similar to Thailand and it was fine with her. Aren't we blessed! May brought a good habit from California - this restaurant is one of the rare ones that recycles. We've been eating at Thai Square since the restaurant opened, and it's easily one of the best Thai restaurants in Sugar Land. I understand times are tough, but the protein and vegetable portions have gone downhill. We ordered 2 portions of Pad see ew with beef. Both orders didn't even come with enough beef (6-7 tiny pieces) or broccoli (1 small piece of broccoli and 2-3 slivers of Chinese broccoli) to feed my 2 toddlers. Every time I've dined in, it's been a fair amount of food. I'm really disappointed with the last 2 times we've ordered carry-out. Wouldn't recommend ordering takeout from this place unless you are okay with paying more for less. read more

For my entree, I ordered the Pad Ginger with shrimp and jasmine rice. It was actually better than I was expecting. My friend ordered the Pad Himmapan with pork and jasmine rice. I tried his and it was very good. The server told me that they can make any dish gluten free. This place is nothing fancy, but the food is really good. We came here to pickup a quick dinner takeout order. The route to get here was kind of tough, as it wasn't very well lit. But, when we arrived, customer service was great and they had our order ready pretty quickly. The staff even asked if I wanted plastic utensils. Some places don't even ask and never provide it for us. We ordered their drunken noodles and Pad Thai at Thai hot and with various proteins amongst our family. The one thing I can say is that their heat is no joke. Whoowee! It's spicy. Loved it. They did have quite a bit of veggies that you'd normally see that keep well storage wise in restaurants, such as broccoli, and carrots. But, they were quite skimpy with the protein, though. Whether it was chicken, pork, or tofu, I don't think my family got more than a couple bites of it, and the rest was noodles. They didn't even have much basil either. I prefer Thai bistro's drunken noodles, which has more wok hey, garlic, soy sauce, protein, and basil. The Pad Thai here was decent here. If I'm in the area, I'll get my noodle fix here. Otherwise, there are other Thai restaurants that serve better pad Thai and drunken noodles. Customer service was great here, though. read more

She stomped off to grab another menu after my boyfriend asked for one. She never even returned to our table to ask what we wanted instead and at the end of our meal, asked us if we wanted to pack up a dish that we didn't want/like. The gentleman at the front kindly took it off our order after we explained our situation because she didn't want to take it off our tab for us. Medium (3) was spicy, my husband and I both loved it but it wax a little much for others My nose ran and my eyes watered and every hotel was delicious. No after heat, no burning lips but sooooo much flavor. The salmon was fresh as was all the veggies. Will definitely return. Service was pretty on par except that didn't refill our water. We ordered spice level 5 so we drank a lot of water, Thai coffee, & Thai tea. Food came out really quick. They have extra spices and Chilis to add to the dish too. We ordered so much food we ran out of table space dipping roti, prawn tom yum soup, chicken noodle soup (similar to pho ) , duck red curry, a noodle dish, and a ground beef dish.
