Definitely a must go to spot in SL for some Nashville style hot chicken and some Texas style BBQ!!! Highly recommend to those who've never been. Krispy Bird and Dickeys BBQ - put them on your radar!!!!
Food was AMAZING. The crunch, the flavor, the service. I went to get food to go. Best place for the chicken. Between this place and bonchon I'm torn between the two lol. Sorry didn't snap picture of food but will be going back soon and will get those pictures.
Definitely 5 star! I enjoyed everything about it. Food is made fresh when you order. It's not a long wait and they had a crowd the day so was in there. It's indoor and outdoor seating. The outside seating area have covers. It's really clean. The food is really good! The serving size is huge and you get your money worth for sure! The staff is very friendly. It's a family friendly so you can bring the kids. I hope everyone enjoy as much as me
Stopped in for a quick bite with a friend that is visiting in town. We certainly weren't disappointed. Everything from the decor, to the customer service, to the food was absolutely superb. She got the lemon pepper chicken wings which were big and scrumptious... I ordered fish and chips and was very pleasantly surprised by their size. Will I be returning back to this establishment??? The answer to that is an astounding YES! Do yourself a favor and check them out. It was yummy!
THE FOOD IS HOT N READY! The service was superior! Very kind and accommodating people! Always delicious food! A SWEET GEM OF SUGAR LAND! The chicken is nice and spicy exactly to the degree you want it! Something is really special about what they are doing over here! (PS- There is a Dickey's BBQ Pit inside of the building now! Some menu items have been removed: Boneless wings, but cut up the 3pc tenders into cubes and its pretty much the same thing!)
KB's is fantastic!!! Tried a little of everything off of their menu with medium level heat including the sandwich, 1/4 chicken, tenders, and fries. The sandwich was delicious, not just the chicken but also the slaw that they use which doesn't have mayo and is really light tasting but adds a nice crunch. Their sauce is also fantastic. Their prices are super reasonable for the amount that you get and the quality and customer service are amazing!
I love myself a spicy chicken sandwich and am on the search for a spot in Sugar Land/Missouri city area. I was so excited when I read about this place in the Community paper. Pros: The quality of the chicken was good and the place seemed clean. Cons: Waited over 20 minutes for a chicken sandwich meal. Ordered my sandwich Hot in spice level, they may have forgotten to put hotsauce on it? I had to go home and mix BWW mango habanero and Tabasco scorpion sauce to have some flavor. The oil that the chicken was fried in tasted kind of old. After waiting 20 minutes for my food... the fries were not even hot...neither was my sandwich. Skimpy on the coleslaw and had 3 pickles. Overall I am very bummed but this place seems new so I may give them another try and hopefully they'll have some kinks worked out.
Awesome sandwich. Spice level was also good, it kinda kicked around 800000 scoville which is a good amount for any hot sandwich. 10/10 I ordered it on the phone when I was 5 minutes away, the staff was very friendly and quick to response. When I reached my order was ready which came as a surprise to me. So quick service wow. I thought may be it may be pre prepared food but yo my surprise it was not as the chicken was so fresh and hot while the bread was also properly cooked. Fan of KB's hot chicken now. Will come again and again to try more stuff. For all spice lovers challenge for you, try out the Blazin Hot Sauce
UPDATE: The sandwiches have unfortunately went down in quality. They're not as crispy as before, and seemed drier now. Previous review: This place has good tasting, huge hot chicken sandwiches in Sugarland! We got the sando by itself and the Sando combo which comes with a side and drink! I usually get the medium spice at Hot chicken places, but this time I went for the Hot. Let me warn you, the Hot is a habanero pepper spice level hot in my opinion. You get a good burn on your lips! The sandwiches overall were crispy and flavorful. Did I mention they were huge? I hope they don't change the size of these. The comeback sauces that come with the chicken sandwich were good to calm down some of the heat.
This is an awesome spot with great decor, super clean, friendly staff, and great food! Prices are moderate and portions are a decent size. First pic is the Bird'a Nest combo with a side of fries. It was a lot without being overwhelming. Good mix of flavors and you can easily taste each one. Will, 16, said he was shocked it filled him up so quickly since it's just fries. He's rarely full. The second pic is the quarter bird but I asked them to sub the wing with a leg and they agreed. This is super crunchy, super flavorful and goes great with their comeback sauce or ranch. Both chicken options were in a medium which was accurate. Sometimes we get medium at places and it's super spicy or has none, but this was truly in the middle. The chicken alone I rate a solid 9. The last picture is the brisket... I'm not going to rate the restaurant off of the brisket. The brisket was dry, lacked flavor, and the smallest size you can get is 1/4 pound. My son and I each tried a slice but we threw most of it away. Give KB's a shot but stay with the chicken and you won't be disappointed! Definitely recommend and we will be back!

Hot chicken?! Who knew it would be goodT! My husband and I stumbled across this place because we noticed it while leaving HEB ( yes, we are those people who will make groceries then get take out for dinner....no judgement). Boy oh boy the sandwich is HUGE! My Hubs and I could have shared one, seriously. Nice price for a lot of food. Yes indeed. P.S. I do recommend putting cheese on it (wink) read more

Really HOT and Spicy Southern Style BBQ location in Sugarland, TX. This location has 3 franchise resturants in one. KB's Hot Chicken, Dickey's BBQ and Wing Boss. The owners of the location where present at the time and where super nice and hospitable. We have never eaten KB's, but I am impressed. The cool part is not only the murral art and southern-decoration style of the location. If your not in the mood for chicken, then you can order up some ribs or brisket, but if your in the mood for just wings, then go for it. But if you want a little bit of everyhting, then you will definitely enjoy the Nashville- Southern Style meals. Check out the pictures and enjoy! read more

Great hot chicken place! I ordered the Texas toast sando, fries and Mac and cheese . Medium spice. For reference, I can handle eating serranos and I don't shy away from heat. Medium level packs a punch after a couple bites, you can feel a light burn but it's not enough to make you put down the sandwich. For my fellow, spicy food eaters, it's the perfect place to start at. A nice little kick. Mac and cheese is solid. Good recipe, definitely want to eat it hot. The fries were fresh and seasoned perfectly. The Texas toast bread tasted like the normal sliced bread rather than actual Texas toast FYI but it didn't take away from the deliciousness. All in all, it's in a great location, next to Teriyaki Madness . I can't wait to come again and enjoy some tenders the next time a craving hits! Stopped in for a quick bite with a friend that is visiting in town. We certainly weren't disappointed. Everything from the decor, to the customer service, to the food was absolutely superb. This place has best halal burgers! I loved fish and chips, and the mac and cheese was pretty good. The music was calm and overall the place was very nice. I would definitely come back to try more burgers read more
Great fried chicken, big tasty burgers, cheesy meaty overstuffed Phillies, what's not to love? The fried chicken is very crispy and stays hot for the longest time. They serve whole wings here, flats and drumettes connected rather than separate. A couple wings can make a meal, but why stop when there are so many delicious items on the menu? read more

Awesome place in Sugar Land for hot chicken. The spot is a lot bigger than it looks outside. There's a lot of seating bot inside and out. The young man working at the counter was super nice with his recommendations. I got the loaded fries with hot chicken and the hot chicken salad which. For some reason the fries were a lot hotter that the sandwich. I would say if you like spicy hot is the way to go! But be warned it is super hot. The chicken was super crunchy and the Mac and cheese was perfect. Def worth stopping by if your in the area! read more

KB's has DELICIOUS chicken! I ordered the Bird's Nest and it was amazing. I loved the vinegar slaw with the saltiness of the fries, and the chicken was perfect - well seasoned, and just enough spice for me (I got medium and it had a zing!). It was a beautiful day out, so we ate outside on their covered patio. There's some cute string lights, so next time we might come when it's dark! We also want to try the chicken and waffles for breakfast, so we will have to come back for brunch and bring our kids too read more

To start off the menu was very confusing. There's 3 different menus inside this location and it was quite overwhelming to see so many items on the menu. There was BBQ, hot chicken, and wings menu. Secondly the food was good and presented on a cute little board. The chicken sandwich was delicious. The only downside was the chicken sandwich was ordered to be hot, and it was not hot at all it was a slow build but even then the chicken wasn't that hot to the expectation of a Nashville hot chicken that they advertise all over the walls. The chicken tenders were very good as well, but the sauce that had came with the tenders were a bit strange. The flavor profile didn't suit the tenders. Lastly the wings took forever to get to my table. The chicken sandwich and tenders had came in about 10 mins of ordering. Unfortunately my chicken wings had taken about 20-25 mins, it was quite upsetting to see all of the other food arriving and then customers walking in and ordering food to-go and they have received their food before your last dish hasn't even came to the table. Overall I would definitely say this hot chicken isn't as spicy as it is so definitely bump up the spice level, and don't order the wings unless you don't mind waiting half an hour to get your food. read more

I really liked this place, all food is Halal, service by the one taking the order was pleasant. We got the Birdnest, The Sando, Tenders and the Mac&Cheese...chicken was very moist, the only thing I was not a fan of was the Mac&Cheese, it tasted plastic like, very much like something from KFC, stick with the fries as a side. I like the outdoor seating options but unfortunately it was raining outside. This used to be a crepe/coffee shop so the seating is limited inside. read more

KB's Hot Chicken is the newest Halal Nashville Style Hot Chicken restaurant located in Sugar Land area. Tried this place during their soft opening and loved their fried chicken. The skin was so crispy and very flavorful! We got the hot spice level and it was perfect for us. Great customer service too. read more

The chicken itself was breaded and cooked well, with the actual crust and crunch being pretty good. The seasoning itself was just ok though, as my medium was definitely closer to mild and nothing else about the flavor profile really stood out. I wish the sandwich also had more slaw and pickles (or just thicker cut ones). The sandwich did come with a typically large portion of chicken, resulting in me basically getting a sandwich and a tender all in one. The fries were also just average tasting and could've actually used more salt or seasoning in general. Overall, it's a decent hot chicken option, but not one I'll rush to have again. read more

Went here two weeks ago after a short shift after being recommended by a coworker. They were running a lunch special and I got the Sando combo for only 9$ (usually 12$). This thing was huge! It had meat falling of the side of the bun. I broke it off and it was about the size of a chicken tender. I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich and fries. The only downside was they don't give you enough of that damn sauce! Halfway through my meal, I had to get up and buy another sauce to finish my fries. I got the flavor/heat level "hot" and maynnnnne that mug had my lips burning. The fries couldn't even help. I had to go home and eat a Greek yogurt. The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is cuz I went back today and they had discontinued the special. I decided not to pay 12$ for something I got for 9$ and ended up spending 16$ to eat hot chicken from another spot that ain't had shit on KB's! read more
