Canes seasoned cousin!! Zaxbys definitely comes with the flavor, however sometimes someone is a little heavy handed and it's too much so check before you pull off. Inside is clean but I typically get to go. The chicken seemed smaller but with all the lab grown meat around that might just mean we can trust it lol. They do have more options like flavors,wings, fried pickles and more so it's a good option if you have ppl with preferences. The girl in the drive thru was nice but my lord, the manager didn't even apologize. He was the one in the back apparently not making our food. Handed us our money and closed the window. That was some of the worst customer service I have ever seen in my entire life. It wasn't busy at all. This wasn't Canes where there's multiple people inside. The inside was closed and we were the first car in the drive thru. If you're the owner and you're reading this, whoever was running this location on Saturday, February 8 at 10 pm should be fired. Fried pickles on the go, anyone? This was my first time visiting Zaxby's and I can't believe I haven't visited it until now. I definitely agree with others that the wait is longer than usual fast food chains, but the food is good. From the About page of their business on Yelp, it seems that they aren't operating like fast food chains and their food is on a made-to-order basis. This could be why the wait times are pretty long, but it's a sacrifice of either wait time or quality. It definitely gave me the impression of fast food with the drive thru window though. We decided to try their fried pickles, which came with a side of ranch. The breading was really crispy and flavorful, but we felt the pickles inside didn't match that crispy energy. It was still a yummy side to try! We also had their Zaxby's Signature Sandwich, which comes with a crispy breaded chicken dressed in Zax sauce and pickles in a buttery, toasted bun. This was really good and we loved the seasoning and the crispiness. Definitely one of our top chicken sandwiches. Their crinkle fries weren't overly salty, which is a big factor when I rate my fries LOL. The inside was a bit softer than usual, but the exterior was very crispy and yummy. How can anyone begin to choose where you get your fried chicken from when there are SO many places to choose from?! Well, convenience in this case. Before making a trip to Costco, my stomach told me I really needed to eat or my Costco trip was about to be very expensive from me wanting to buy everything. You know what they say about not going grocery shopping while hungry... So the husband and I stopped by Zaxby's right across from Costco to grab a snack. I was excited because I had never tried Zaxby's before and who can resist chicken tenders?! So we went through the drive through and ordered a 5 piece chicken tender entree, which cost around $6. The price seemed pretty reasonable and each tender was a fair size so no complaints there. When it came to the taste however, I was slightly disappointed. While crispy and juicy, the tenders unfortunately lacked flavor. I think a little more salt or seasoning would have gone a long way! (Though I feel like Cane's lacks flavor too so maybe it's just me?) Though I'm glad I've tried it, I would probably stick to other fried chicken places from now on. read more

This place is so good their "box combo" is very similar to canes. I love that when you first make an account and download the app you get a free meal which comes with alot you get texas toast, fries, tenders and a soft drink. I have to say, generally speaking, this place is always good. I never really have much to complain about. But today I order our standard family pack (the strips) and ask for the teriyaki sauce. Now, this is one of their special sauces that don't come in prepackaged containers like Zac or Ranch dip. This comes in little clear plastic sauce containers with lids and they manually fill them on request. I submit for this restaurant management's consideration the attached photo. This is not a one-off happening...this has consistently been what I have received for the past three visits. Please instruct your crew to "fill" the sauce containers. I've got a family of five that straight up LOVES this sauce....but with the paltry amounts you are dishing out, we don't have enough sauce to even satisfy the children through their meals. Service is horrible every time. Every single one of their employees has an attitude, not worth the food. I understand food service is not the best job but they make going here an even worse experience. No greeting, no politeness in the transaction. They stare you down with an attitude on their face and how they take orders. Every worker acts like you owe them something and that they're better than you. I have never been to a Zaxby's before so this was my first stab at it. Chicken fingers seem to be their thing and I had hopes for fingers that were at least as good as Raising Canes. Boy was I wrong! For a very similar price, Cane's does it so much better. The staff were kind of rushed even though there weren't a lot of customers at all. I wanted to order four sandwich meals for my group which include a sandwich, a side of fries, and a drink. I was asked what I would like to order but then before I could fully state anything I was asked a second question already...for here or to go? I then said I'd like to order 2 chicken finger sandwich meals and 2 kickin chicken sandwich meals for here. I was told to listen out for my number and I could pick up the entrees when it is called. We then tried filling up our drink cups at the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine but after trying both machines (one to the left and another to the right), both had insufficient Fanta orange soda. We chose another drink and even a sweet tea...which was extremely, extremely sweet but no tea flavor whatsoever. We initially chose a booth seat but after I took a seat, the booth completely popped up on one side...broken already and this place is new? Needless to say we moved to a regular table. When we got our entrees, we were ready to dig in. The chicken finger sandwich meal was fingers sandwiched between tomatoes, lettuce, and a toasted brioche bun. The bun itself was pretty good and flavorful but the chicken fingers were not great quality. The same fate with the chicken inside the kickin chicken sandwich meal, which was flavored with ranch and essentially hot sauce, it was too chewy and there were very sinewy parts that couldn't be torn apart. The sauce was also a bit on the sour end. The crinkle fries were fried to a nice crisp exterior and soft interior but really bland. Not very impressive overall because the quality is lacking. Arrived at 1:02 noticed cars were pulled up waiting. Didn't mind still ordered my food in drive thru. Paid and was told to pull up three other cars alreadY waiting. I wait for 20 min for a worker to walk out with one order. At this point it's 6 cars waiting. He ask me my order and said o I don't have it can u pull up more. So I did. And waiting another 10 min until I pull back around. And ask for a refund it's been 30 min at this point. They take my receipt and throw it in the trash in front of me and try to give me food that looked like it had been sitting or given to someone else. I want a refund not food at this point I'm over it. Food was 17 they try and give me 13 three times after I've explained my total was 17. After 5 attempts I finally received the correct amount. UPDATED REVIEW: I will never again come back to this Zaxby's, EVER. Every single time I've been to this location, my order is incorrect. I'm tired of calling to speak with a manager about incorrect orders just to come back and have the situation fixed. It shouldn't take all of that. My bf and I came to Zaxby's one night and ordered through the drive thru. As soon as he said he wanted Zaxby's, we talked about how horrible they are with getting orders correct, but hoped for the best this time around. For starters, it's never busy at this location. Usually only a few cars in the parking lot, most of which I assume are employee cars so I don't understand how despite not being busy, orders are frequently incorrect. It's almost as if they go out of their way to mess it up. Anyways we pull up to the drive thru and the young lady on the intercom was so rude, as if we were somehow interrupting her evening by stopping in. There's nothing I hate more than being rushed while making an order somewhere. After every item I was asked, "Will that complete your order?" As we're trying to make our order, she's interrupting asking questions instead of listening to our entire order first. When she began interrupting us, I just knew our order would be messed up. It really wasn't a complicated order. 6 piece chicken tender plate dipped in hot honey mustard, no slaw, extra toast with a sprite. A kids meal nibbler with a sweet tea and a Cajun sandwich on the side. After paying and receiving our receipt, we noticed we had been charged .25 for extra hot honey mustard. We made her aware that we shouldn't have been charged because the tenders were supposed to be dipped and she got a huge attitude thinking we were upset about .25. We weren't upset about that, we were upset because we knew it meant the tenders wouldn't be dipped, but that we would just receive an extra sauce. Our food came out and of course, there was an extra sauce, but the tenders weren't dipped. We went back in the drive thru and told them it was wrong and the manager fixed it for us..or so we thought. When we got home, we realized they had only given us 4 tenders when we paid for 6. The lack of attention to detail, the rudeness and lack of customer service as well as the fact that they just can NEVER get an order right is why we'll never be back to this location. We'll drive an extra 20 minutes out the way for a different Zaxby's location or just opt for another chicken spot altogether. SUPER disappointed. Save your money, it's not worth the extra time and effort. Came into today because I've been to this location multiple times and despite my order not being that complicated (one order with two cookies, another with no cole slaw and extra toast), my food has been made incorrectly. I called and spoke with the manager on duty about multiple orders being incorrect at this location. She apologized profusely and told me that next time I came in, to drop her name and let them know that I was to receive a refund as well as my order..remade correctly. I came in tonight hoping she'd be there, but she wasn't in. The manager on duty was very respectful and professional seeing as I didn't have my receipt on me (it was at home). He listened to my story and gave me a refund and made sure my food was remade exactly how I ordered it. He even had the cashier bring my food out to me personally instead of calling my name over the intercom to come to the counter to pick it up. I hate that I had to come back in to begin with, but gave four stars because of the exceptional customer service. This place just opened recently, and my siblings and I decided to give them a try. It was pretty busy here during Christmas weekend. Probably because people were hungry after shopping at Costco. Their specialty is chicken everything: chicken wings, chicken salad, chicken sandwiches. Nothing here is healthy, even the grilled stuff. Their menu board will confirm that for you as all items are at least 1000 calories or more. Just don't come here if you're on a diet. We didn't want to eat too much since we were going to eat a late lunch. So, my sis ordered the chicken tender sandwich meal with a side of insane sauce (she can handle really spicy food), and I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich meal to share with my brother. Both meals came with crinkle fries and a refillable soft drink. They had Coke products here, which I appreciated (I hate Pepsi products). I kid you not. The chicken here, whether grilled or fried, was moist and delicious. Even though the bread could've been buttered and toasted better, the chicken definitively redeemed the sandwich. Their insane sauce was also the bomb. Think of Franks red hot sauce, but very spicy. We all dipped our crinkle fries and sandwiches in this sauce. It's addictive. I'm not sure how the other sauces they have on their menu fare. But, I would definitely recommend getting the insane sauce, if you're not prone to getting heartburn with spicy food. Today was my first time at Zaxby's. I ordered the three piece chicken tenders with toast, french fries, and peach iced tea. The iced tea was the best of the lot! The chicken tenders looked like they had refried and didn't really have a taste. The Zaxby's signature sauce was horrible! After eating one tender, I fed the rest to my dog. This particular Zaxby's has the worst service. My experience at this location has never been a positive one. I've been told they don't have salad because they were too lazy to make one. They tried to sneak old, cold boneless chicken in as a substitute for the chicken in a salad. The managers all have attitudes. I've even had to come back the next day to complain to a manger about the way I was treated as a customer, and the manager cold care less. I've heard cursing and other foul language as they were taking my order through the drive through. Today, it took 32 minutes to get my food. The fries were cold. Went through the drive through shortly before 6pm on a weeknight and there was nary a car in line. Or in the lot. Hmm. Pulled up to order and I was overwhelmed by the giant boards. So many options! Figured a 6 piece chicken finger meal was a safe bet. The wait was less than 2 minutes from order-pay-pick up. Can't complain about that. The chicken fingers were hot and crispy and my husband liked them. They made me crave Cane's, lol. The Zaxby's sauce is... interesting. Like a ranch/thousand island/honey mustard mix. Out of those three condiments, I only like ranch so it's no surprise I thought the sauce was funky. Crinkle cut fries were yummmy. Didn't try the cole slaw and the TX toast was good but salty. I love finding new places that serve great chicken tenders and wings. I'm so glad we stopped in and gave this place a try. I also love that they will let an adult order a kids meal. So the chicken tenders are fresh, hot and tasty. You get a choice of sauces, which i love. I don't like when you go some where and they only offer 1 sauce. We tried the bbq and honey mustard. Wonderful. So the French fries are the bomb dignity. They are a good size fry, with a good crunch. They are served hot and with a very nice chili Salt on top. It's not over done, but just the right amount of taste. These fries are amazing! We also got an order of Texas toast with it and this was fabulous! It's got the right amount of garlic and butter on it with a great crunch. They also have a great choice of soft drinks for you to choose from. And if you want a little treat after dinner, they serve fresh cookies also. I will definitely go back soon! My only and one complaint is the staff and customer service. The people were not friendly or helpful. It was our first time and they just didn't seem to care for whatever questions we have. For my first Yelp review, a first visit to Zaxby's. Drinks are the Freeform type, which I like in theory, but these machines are often out of what I want to drink (usually Fanta). I got the Southern TLC sandwich with tomotaoes and lettuce. It gets a C. It was thoroughly pedestrian. Chicken was too salty but otherwise flavorless; however, it was fairly juicy. Fries are standard frozen crinkle fries, very blah. My wife's platter consisted of boneless buffalo wings and the chicken fingers. The wings get a C+, but the fingers get a B+. The fingers had a nice crispy crust, good flavor, and juicy. If we come back, we're probably going to get just the fingers. The fingers alone are what push Zaxby's into plus territory instead of being mired in mediocrity. read more

There are many wing places to be found in most metro areas. My wife and I happen to like Zaxby's wings the best: they are not greasy, and they are not dry. Their salads and combo plates always please. Overall, the service here is good. My only complaint is that the sauces aren't my favorite. The "buffalo" style sauce has good heat but is also flavored with something sweet. I'm not a big fan of sweet and savory. The only other thing I don't like is that it is a 25 minute drive from my home, but if I'm in that area, I would definitely stop by. read more
