I know In-N-Out has a huge fan base, but for me it's just okay. The cheeseburgers are probably a 6/10. They're not bad, but nothing special or memorable. The fries are my biggest disappointment. Most of the time they come out soggy, which puts it at about a 3/10. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, I'm not sure. The chocolate shake is really good, it was a 9/10 and honestly the best part of the meal. To be fair, I do respect that they make their fries fresh from real potatoes right on the spot, and that's definitely a plus. I ordered a Triple Meat Burger with 1 cheese slice, no lettuce and add whole-grilled onion. Overall, it was very delicious, great temperature and very fresh. Some bites were very good and some a bit underwhelming. I guess all 3 patties being perfectly seasoned can be tricky or the universe told me don't over indulge, 2 patties is enough. The buns were warm with good softness and density. The tomatoes were very fresh with nice red color and the beef was really juicy with enough seasoning for the most part. The sauce is always a nice win here. Unlike most foods I consume, when it comes to burgers n hotdogs I usually don't like sauce on them to preserve the actual taste and prevent that drench. The fries on the past few visits were actually quite good and better than the past few I had. I don't usually eat fries unless they're steak fries anyways. I haven't been to C A since either July or August of 2011, but if I remember correctly their meat was still better than the TX ones by 15 %, so not too much better. Always a spot to hit when I have that late night burger and good fries craving! The line never stops but all the staffs are very efficient getting the orders out as timely as possible. The quality is consistent too considering they are working under the pressure non stop. I love to order their protein style cheeseburger so I can feel less guilty eating too much carb, or their Flying Dutchman with grilled onions. They make the patties fresh and chop the potato fries fresh too, you can see the worker in the open kitchen doing that work. Been at In-n-Out in CA and Vegas. Each time it makes my socks roll up and down. Was surprised to see this one since I'm from way up north. Order the cheese burger combo and grab my Diet Coke. Never understood why it takes 20 minutes to get our food. My order gets called and I go grab it and great. Munched on 3 fries and dig into my burger. It's alright. Not hot hot but warm at best. But I'm hungry. Burger is done so I dig into my fries and they taste icky and cold. Like they been sitting out for 30 minutes. It would different if it took me 10-20 minutes to eat my burger but eh no. I hit it on a bad day. Saturday I head back to the airport and hey I'm Hungary. I have been watching which restaurants came to fill the empty lot where Texas Instrument campus used to be. I remember seeing In-N-Out Burger on SW Freeway town bound but I couldn't remember where to exit. I actually came from the opposite side of freeway. I started from W Airport Blvd toward S Kirkwood Road within the open grassy field. Coming from the road to this parking lot was very tricky, too. The one-and-only entrance is from an interior roadway shared with Whisky Cake Kitchen & Bar next door. I arrived at 1:00 on a Monday afternoon. This large parking lot was almost full and drive-thru lane was wrapping around the building. I was wondering how busy it was inside. Once I walked in, I couldn't believe my eyes. There were no seats left at this restaurant. I was also surprised to see how fast the service was. I got my burger and fries in 9 minutes. There was barely any wait time. I remember last time I went to an In-N-Out Burger was in Austin, being the closest one many years ago. It gets super busy that the drive through line wraps the entire premise and circles itself (about 20 minutes until you get to the drive thru order) but still quick service.
