First time to visit in years as our local restaurant closed. While visiting, I wanted to eat there for old times sake but their lines are usually ridiculously long. Today only 4 cars so I rushed to get in line. The service was great and very quick. My burger and fries were freshly prepared and both hot. My favorite burger spot. This place just gets too packed for me to frequent on a regular. Their cheeseburger are the perfect size, I usually get the double double. The meat taste fresh and juicy. I like the way it's wrapped so that you can hold it while eating it. The fries however are okay. They are not my favorite fries but I do want some fries with my order. I know In-N-Out has a huge fan base, but for me it's just okay. The cheeseburgers are probably a 6/10. They're not bad, but nothing special or memorable. The fries are my biggest disappointment. Most of the time they come out soggy, which puts it at about a 3/10. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, I'm not sure. The chocolate shake is really good, it was a 9/10 and honestly the best part of the meal. To be fair, I do respect that they make their fries fresh from real potatoes right on the spot, and that's definitely a plus. I'll probably give them another try and order the fries extra crispy to see if that changes anything. The service is great, but the lines are really long, which can be frustrating. This looks like a new In-N-Out. It is beautiful, spit-shine clean, and the crew is both friendly and efficient. My Double Double Burger was awesome. Fresh ingredients, toasted buns, and well stacked, as has been my experience at any location I've been to. This one has indoor and outdoor dining, as well as a drive through. Their prices are very competitive, if not low comparable to other burger chains. I like that they treat their employees well and pay them more than their competitors. Wait, I used to dog on In-n-out for being so bad all the time, but there's not many places in today's economy that can still offer a $3-5 burger. On my most recent 2 visits, I've come to really appreciate the affordability, convenience, and consistency of In-n-out. For less that $5 you can get a double patty burger with cheese paired with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. Nothing beats it. And if you're still hungry, just order another less than $5 burger. I am originally from California so I have experienced a great product every single In and Out Burger I have been to in California. I gave the In and Out Burger a chance when it opened a few years back and it was awful. I decided to give it another try today and it got worse! Always a spot to hit when I have that late night burger and good fries craving! The line never stops but all the staffs are very efficient getting the orders out as timely as possible. The quality is consistent too considering they are working under the pressure non stop. I love to order their protein style cheeseburger so I can feel less guilty eating too much carb, or their Flying Dutchman with grilled onions. They make the patties fresh and chop the potato fries fresh too, you can see the worker in the open kitchen doing that work. I like to order animal sauce on the side so I can use them on my burger too. It's always crowded anytime I went, and can get loud because everyone talking at the same time, but hey that's what a good burger spot is like, more people means good service and food! I have been watching which restaurants came to fill the empty lot where Texas Instrument campus used to be. I remember seeing In-N-Out Burger on SW Freeway town bound but I couldn't remember where to exit. I actually came from the opposite side of freeway. I started from W Airport Blvd toward S Kirkwood Road within the open grassy field. Coming from the road to this parking lot was very tricky, too. The one-and-only entrance is from an interior roadway shared with Whisky Cake Kitchen & Bar next door. I arrived at 1:00 on a Monday afternoon. This large parking lot was almost full and drive-thru lane was wrapping around the building. I was wondering how busy it was inside. Once I walked in, I couldn't believe my eyes. There were no seats left at this restaurant. I was also surprised to see how fast the service was. I got my burger and fries in 9 minutes. There was barely any wait time. I remember last time I went to an In-N-Out Burger was in Austin, being the closest one many years ago. Been at In-n-Out in CA and Vegas. Each time it makes my socks roll up and down. Was surprised to see this one since I'm from way up north. Order the cheese burger combo and grab my Diet Coke. Never understood why it takes 20 minutes to get our food. My order gets called and I go grab it and great. Munched on 3 fries and dig into my burger. It's alright. Not hot hot but warm at best. But I'm hungry. Burger is done so I dig into my fries and they taste icky and cold. Like they been sitting out for 30 minutes. It would different if it took me 10-20 minutes to eat my burger but eh no. I hit it on a bad day. Saturday I head back to the airport and hey I'm Hungary.
