As fast food burger go, P Terry's Burger Stand is a good value but doesn't offer anything special other than price. The burgers are somewhat small but taste good when loaded with available toppings. The cost of a burger is approximately thirty to fifty percent cheaper than the famous burger brands. The lines can be long but does move relatively fast when the extra attendant is outside taking orders. There is no dining room just a double lane drive through. Feels like I saw 10 of these when I was in Austin a few months ago. There was one every couple of minutes like a Starbucks or McDonald's lol. I was excited to see one here in Houston. For so many weeks everytime I passed after work the line was crazy long. I decided to finally give them a try since it was less crowded this night. I had the double (after reading the reviews I knew the single wouldn't fill me) and added bacon and jalapeños. It was very tasty, bacon cooked well and the Pattie's had flavors. Drive-thru and order at the stand only. Saw a few people having to reverse because they don't know how to read the giant arrows on the concrete ground and then reversing onto the island. No picnic tables outside so you're going to either eat it somewhere else like your car or on top of your car and throwing your trash elsewhere. A girl drove past by as I was setting on top of the trunk to eat outside in the dark while a couple in a Tesla by Outback restaurant was starring at me, so HERE YOU GO GIRL! My review for you. Original guy was quite pleasant taking my order but the girl who gave me my order was just meh. I don't expect much from a stand-by location. For how decent size it look on the outside, their kitchen/prepping area is quite small. You can basically see all the workers being packed like sardines. They're originally from Austin and I don't know why I've never tried it there. Lemonade is alright. The kids in my community make better lemonade for $0.25 a cup plus the gazillion percentage of tip to them. Pretty good pricing, especially for the size (it's not giant but decent) and for angus burgers. If you like soggy fries like from In-and-Out then you will like their fries. I'm more of a crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, type of fries girl. By the way, even though their burgers are similar, it's not. They don't have the same sauce. I would say, McDonald's Big Mac sauce is closer, if not, identical to In-and-Out sauce. Overall, not bad for the pricing and what you get. Not sure what the bad reviews were about but I've had P Terrys, delivered, pick up and took it home to eat and today was the first time I had it fresh. Cold and Luke warm was good but hot and fresh right through the drive through was fantastic. We had a hamburger and a double cheese combo and a Mexican vanilla shake. Literally took me back to a different decade. And at $8 for a combo and $5 for a burger it's unbeatable. Staff was nice, it was quick and efficient, order on point. 100% worth it read more

My goodness, these were some satisfactory burgers. Service was friendly and the wait wasn't too bad. I ordered the food online before pulling up to the establishment. The ambiance was energetic, as they had just opened up. So, the primary thing was that the food was scrumptious. If I'm not mistaken, they make their burgers fresh. The best thing about this establishment is that they are more affordable than today's fast food. That alone will have one coming back. We decided to try the new P Terrys in the neighborhood. We tried a regular Double Cheeseburger & a Crispy Chicken Sandwich. The burger was tasty, good flavor. The improvement is the lettuce that isn't properly cut for the burger. The Chicken sandwich was heavy and packy. Terrible service. Always slow. It's almost like they have 1 grill. Every single time I come here, and I've given them 5 chances it's always a problem. Either they forget food, or mess food up. I am currently here now getting an order replaced from when they messed it up. Took them about 15 minutes to finally remember and then on top of that expect me to wait back in a line I already stood in to order a cheeseburger with the replacement. A potential "Peter Principal" mid-level manager may be hindering versus delivering. 4 trips. 1st good. 2nd ok (really busy), 3rd was inexcusable, yet, understandable when taking a closer look at the situation! Yesterday, it was busy. As I waited in line I noticed the Area Manager (Ortega?) outside on his phone. He did not reenter the facility until I was next in line at the window. Finally served 10 minutes (9:24) later if one wants to be picky. When I got to the window I said, "Hope it is still hot given the wait?" The girl smiled and said, "Sorry. Two cookies and a cheeseburger?" Replied, "Yes, hope it is still hot?" She smiled and nodded as if she heard, yet, no response. As she handed me the bag I asked, "Did you hear me?" She said, "No". I asked why she continued nodding if she did not hear as opposed to asking me to repeat?" Her answer,"I could not hear you as they were talking in my headset." Replied, "When you speak to someone you want them to hear and respond accordingly, right? Any reason to not ask me to repeat what I said?" Her look said it all. Seemed odd that the Area Manager would not be helping, leading by example, ensuring this new location provided fast service and quality product. Inside, he was not helping. he was talking to the help as opposed to helping and talking. In short, his actions were distracting and slowing. As I left, got in the car, he was again outside on phone. Grew up working in the industry. Opening any new location is challenging, more so recently, last couple weeks, and not at all today or yesterday or the day before. Intrigued by last week's situation being surreally bad, had to go back this week to purchase,eat, observe and interact when possible. Was interested in the reasons the location's service varied. The opposite of my Austin experience . This week, the Managers and staff's were completely engaged with both and customers. The leadership by example was obvious. No surprise the staff enjoyed working with their manager. There was a very positive vibe. Place was cleaner, too. Food was perfectly prepared...and hot! Was that day a really bad day, a perfect storm or were the Area Manager's efforts much more than a distraction? Chatted with the staff. To some degree it is everyone to the same level of high execution and almost all were brand new, not transferred to Houston. Several used the same or very similar verbiage. The Area Manager's interactions, lack of leadership, not helping and more hindered, did not help nor will such ever foster the P Terry Brand. Given my history, admiration for this Brand, the good people I've met in Austin over the years and at Houston's new locations, let's hope those at P Terry read this review and escalate several levels to ensure it is taken seriously, handled quickly. I stopped by on a Friday night about 11pm. Tired after a 12 hr shift. I ordered a double cheese burger and a fry in the drive thru. Had to wait a good while too so I foolishly thought the food would be fresh. Got home a little later and the fries were fresh albeit not that great. I rate them just above In and Out's. The part that pisses me off is that my burger was COLD. No, I don't mean room temp I mean actually cold like from the fridge! The cheese wasn't even remotely soft and melted, more like once melted and hard. The hell is with this place? Stopped here cause it's closer that the Spring Glen location but no matter it's faults I never got a COLD BURGER! Was too tired to head back and the way I felt it was in everyone's best interest I didn't. Could've gone to Wendys or Whataburger rather than deal with that nonsense.
