Small parking lot, low price for good food, and don't move tables - ask them to do it for you. They bring out your food for you and they clean up the tables. I recommended the cheddar bacon burger and the chili cheese fries. The potato isn't flavored, but has a ton of toppings. I want to try the wings next time I go!! read more

it's been a while since we ate here but decided to grab a hamburger and frito pie. The burgers were nothing to rave about, and they were wet for some reason unknown. The mushrooms were cold and soggy. The frito pie was horrible it had 1 scoop of dry chili and barely any cheese. Burger Barn is convenient and fairly reliable, but it's still not quite as good as when it first opened. I think part of the problem is too much turnover in staff. My burger today looked great--lovely presentation--but the meat needed more seasoning, the tomato was a pale imposter, and the lettuce was nice but too too much. I usually don't leave reviews, but this experience deserves to be documented. I ordered two burgers, sweet potato fries, and tater tots. Simple request: both burgers with no mayo, and one with no lettuce. The dining room had one other customer, yet the food took 25 minutes. When I got home, both burgers were covered in mayo, and the one that should've had no lettuce had giant pieces hanging off the side. I called the restaurant expecting a quick correction, and mentioned that I shouldn't have to drive back if the order had been made correctly to begin with. Instead, I hear someone named Angie yelling through the hostess that I couldn't receive a corrected burger unless I returned the wrong one. Fine. I drove back with the incorrect burger. When I arrived, no one greeted me. Angie was sitting at a high-top table in the corner while I stood at the counter for five minutes holding the bag. When she finally approached, I explained the issue and handed her the burger. What happened next was unreal. She opened the burger, flipped through every layer with her fingers, mayo and lettuce smeared across the counter, and then tried to tell me I ordered it wrong and that the burger had been made correctly. She ignored the very clear instructions the ticket showed. I mentioned the soggy sweet potato fries, checked the replacement burger myself, and then asked for the corporate number. She first wrote down the number to the Rosenberg store, hoping I wouldn't notice. When I asked again for corporate or the owner's number, she reluctantly wrote down a different one while saying, "Corporate will tell you the same thing I say." When I asked for the manager's name, she slowly spelled out "Burger Barn" like that was supposed to be helpful. She didn't want to give me her own name until other customers walked in. I checked their website afterward. They claim to value great food, friendly service, and treating customers like family. What I experienced was the exact opposite: A 25-minute wait for the wrong order A manager flipping through my food on the counter Blame-shifting instead of accountability Hostility when asked for help Dishonesty about corporate contact information Zero professionalism in an empty restaurant This isn't customer service. This isn't pride in your work. And this absolutely isn't how you treat people who support your business. If this is the level of leadership in the building, it explains everything. Until management is replaced or retrained on the values they claim to stand for, I won't be back. (Is the Enterance sign in purpose? Lol) My experience could've been better, but I'm basing this off of the customer service and the atmosphere. First the bad... There were several flies around our table. I'm not talking just one or two, I'm saying like five or six constantly swarming around us. We had a table of six and we all were waving our hands around our heads plus our food. I had the chipotle mushroom Swiss burger, and it was very good. This place is a walk up and order type restaurant but they bring the food to your table. I especially like that they don't tip shame you. They don't ever ask for a tip and I asked the guy if I could give a tip and he told me not to worry about it. Very country friendly place. There's plenty of parking, they have outdoor seating on the front porch area, and plenty of seating inside. There's lots of arcade type games for the kids to enjoy as well. The bathrooms are one stall only and very clean. All of my friends enjoyed their meals. We just wished the flies would have not been present. It's hard to give this place a bad review because the service was so good and otherwise extremely cleanly outside of the fly situation. Being that it was during the heat of the summer, I can understand that they might have a problem they're trying to fix (hopefully). There's plenty of parking. Let's start out by saying the service was great but food was lacking except for the Fried Green Beans and Ranch dip. I got a #5 which was a Mushroom burger with Chipotle Mayo. I didn't taste the mayo and had to look for the mushrooms. Daughter got the Enchilada plate ... no comment. read more

I'm deeply disturbed by the way my family was treated at this establishment. A family member had the unfortunate situation of her car breaking down by the restaurant's parking lot. Instead of showing an ounce of understanding or basic human decency, the manager came outside and acted completely out of line. He cussed her out, called her out of her name, and even went so far as to bang on the windows of the car, all of this in front of her children. His behavior was loud, threatening, and completely inappropriate for someone in any position of authority, let alone someone representing a business that serves the public. There's absolutely no excuse for the way he handled the situation. A little compassion could've gone a long way, but instead we were met with aggression and verbal abuse. The children were scared, my family member was humiliated, and I was shocked that someone like this is allowed to manage anything, let alone interact with customers. We will never be back, and I sincerely hope ownership steps in and takes action. Because as of now the manager keeps saying that these are "lies" instead of taking accountability for being a horrible human being. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated anywhere. read more

I requested a refund and was told I would have to come back in 2 days because there was no access to refunds. I eventually was given a partial refund. Not sure what's going on with Burger Barn but the last few times we have gone we have been disappointed. This has consistently been our favorite burger joint but there have been major execution problems lately. Kid burger on my frito burger one time, dry burnt burger on my frito burger another time and stale Fritos yet another time. Three strikes you're out. I have loved the frito burger for years but won't order it again. And where are the girls at the counter? They were always so friendly and helpful. When this place first opened up their burgers were amazing and I tried all of them at least once. The food selections were decent burgers, chicken, Mexican plates, hot dogs and other stuff. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great too. Fast forward to now, they have new owners and their burgers are not as good. The service has gone down s well. After a couple months I decided to revisit the restaurant that was supposed to give me another burger once I came back to that location because they messed up on my order. The first time they were in the bag trying to make a cake burger that's why my food was messed up at the timemanager at the time said that he will remake it for me. The bacon was thick and chewy and not in a good way. I question how fresh that bacon was or wasn't. I don't know who thought throwing cold shredded cheese on an overcooked hockey puck of a patty was a great idea. It's not! My husband ordered hot wings. They were mild and did not include any ranch. Which bewilders me as to how my fries are hot, but my burger was dry, luke warm, and with un-melted shredded cheese. The owner (I guess she's the owner) denied the burger was raw in the middle, and admitted she likes her meat bloody...that's her preference, not mine. I wish they would share how the burgers are cooked when ordering. She said the burgers are cooked medium or medium well and that I would not get sick.
