It was ok, Nothing too wow and the 50percent was still a lot of sugar. I felt my tongue get coated with sugar. I got a watermelon with some rainbow jelly. I also asked for a drink holder. I thought the Yakult/yogurt drinks were unique, and my friend I came with really likes the green tea Yakult drink. I opted for the lychee, which unfortunately tasted very artificially sweet. They can't adjust the sweetness level of their Yakult drinks, so I guess that's just the flavour of the lychee drink. I am normally a very big fan of lychee, so it was a bit disappointing. The golden boba is a sweet tapioca with brown sugar, which I like a lot more than regular tapioca, but some boba shops just use it as their regular tapioca, and to me those were a lot more flavourful than this one. The smaller drink size was $6, and the design of the cup looks like a business card. The space is very large for a boba shop with plenty of tables that look nice for studying or working. read more

I've enjoyed this Ding Tea ever since they opened in Sugar Land. Conveniently located off of Highway 6, I've frequented this location pretty regularly. I especially love coming on what I call "Ding Tea Mondays", a promotion that's been going on for a while where you get a free upgrade on your drink. My favorite drink has been the coffee milk tea with coffee jelly (additional topping). I love the wide open space inside, but it does get a bit loud inside depending on who's there. Great spot for boba, staff were helpful in helping me pick something out too. I got a passionfruit milk tea, popcorn chicken and a pomelo green tea, if I remember correctly. The passionfruit tea was interesting, but that's more my fault for picking a wierd combo for my tastebuds lol. But I loved the green tea. Would definitely stop by again when I'm in the neighborhood. I will say that the ambience feels a little noisy to sit down and work in. I'm not sure what other boba places do to muffle the machine noises, but I think if the noise level could be dropped, it could become more suitable to hang out and work in, especially since they have a ton of space. I went to Ding Tea since it's close to my home. My favorite drink is the Yakut series especially the Mango or Peach flavors. There's a clear plastic screen at the counter (from Covid season?) so it makes it hard to hear when we are ordering. I find myself repeating my order several times to the server. They have tables & chairs for you to hang out but it does not feel super cozy. I came here around 3pm on a Sunday and it was not very busy. I have been here before but this was my first time writing a review. I like coming here for their golden boba and their teas. They make their teas pretty well and strong and their golden boba has a nice sweet honey taste to it unlike some boba places that I've had that don't do anything special to their boba. The place is moderately loud depending on the hours you go so it might be best to study there at a non peak hour. I ordered the Hokkaido milk tea with golden boba and it was delicious the boba however was a little hard and not very chewy. Usually when I come the boba is the perfect consistency but today it missed the mark. Inside they have good lighting and free wifi that is great for when you need to get some work done or just grab a quick drink with some friends. The workers there were really nice and quick with getting our orders out so that we did not have to wait very long. I would recommend coming here for their milk teas and golden boba! read more

Okay, I'm addicted. Dingtea has tickled my tastebuds enough that I have mad cravings for Dingtea. Located in the plaza that contain a bunch a businesses, and sits between Keepers and the Gym. Altitude jump park and Whataburger can be spotted easier from Hwy 6. The Wintermelon Milk Tea is so creamy delicious! Granted the drinks are super sweeter than other tea shops but I love love love my drinks sweet. I usually ask for less ice in my milk tea as well. Apparently that helps to make it less sweet as well, other than adjusting the sugar level. The Hokkaido Coffee Slush is also a great pick me up to get you through your rough day. I recommend this to even the non-coffee lovers because it doesnt have the strong coffee taste but it is STRONG. I drank more than half of it, also on a semi-empty stomach, and that get me so hyper and jittery that I was talking so fast and was ready to do work. Lol. The drinks are preferred to be finished that same day but I'll say that its even good at day 3. I would order multiple drinks at a time so I can ration it over a couple of days. Also the place doesnt open till 11am so grabbing that delicious coffee before work... wont happen. Unless they open at 6 or 630 AM (**hint hint**). If you do decide to open early, please let me know!! Until then... its sunday evening stock up. The staff are great and helpful. They take their time to make the drinks which I do appreciate and understand. It really makes all the difference in the drink as they take their time to make it right and consistent. So be patient for those who are used to some of those fast starbucks drink makers. Lots of effort and love go into each drink. Dingtea also has great snacks. The popcorn chicken is yum and has various spice levels. We got some for the kiddos (non spicy) and they enjoyed it too. Good size servings for the prices. Had a hankering for milk tea so came by to try out this new Taiwanese chain. Everyone was super friendly and someone even brought me a sample of crystal boba because I had never had it before. So nice! I ended up picking up 3 drinks: jasmine green milk tea with golden boba, a strawberry yakult for my kiddo, and a matcha milk tea. I got 75% sugar (less sugar) on both tea drinks. I liked the jasmine MT a lot!! I could smell the tea from the first sip: beautifully fragrant and aromatic, this is a nice, light tea ideal for summer. There may have been a touch too much creamer for my taste but that's my own personal preference. My kid gave the strawberry yakult two thumbs up; I tried it and thought it was good as well. We came here before their official opening and ordered our fav drinks. They did take a little longer than usual but considering they were in training it made sense. I got the lychee green tea and it was yummy! Lots of lychee flavor! Maybe a bit on the sweet side so I'll need to order 50% sweet. I've also tried the Top Fruit tea which has got strawberry, passion fruit and some other fruits in it. It's delicious but even with 50% sweet seemed like I could go even lower. I think all the Ding Tea's start REALLY sweet! Husband enjoyed his oolong milk tea as he usually does at the Chinatown location. He also has gotten the grapefruit yogurt drink and its super sweet. They said they couldn't adjust the sweetness here either on the yogurt drinks. It's as expected - like drinking Yakult with a LOT of grapefruit. Not a fan personally. The owners are super nice and helpful. Space is nice and open, and it looks like they are getting some additional bar seating by the window too. It's larger than Share Tea, but could use some more soft lighting. According to the husband, Pricing for the small is a bit more expensive here than the Chinatown location but the large is the same price. The Ding Tea location I used to frequent was awful, drinks were crazy sweet - I could never get a fruit tea there - this location is not like that one. I've tried maaany a drink at Ding Tea in search of my favorites. They have a huge menu, and I think their drinks / sweetness levels are pretty consistent. It was easily a 15-20 minute wait just to order. I ordered your standard milk tea w/out any boba. I ordered a regular size, it came out to be $4.22. It fits into my palm as you can see from my picture. I also got a second one free but on a regular day, I wouldn't have. Personally, this is a total rip off for a just milk and tea. This isn't a rip on DingTea Sugar Land, but I just think the whole milk tea culture is pushing its boundaries. The milk tea is average, nothing jumps out at me.
