The food was sooo good and even the kids love it too. We got the samosa chaat, chicken tenders, desi alfredo foodle, beef keema foodle, butter chicken pizza with masala fries and the masala chai. We definitely will come back again.

    Keema foodles
    Michelle O.

The Keema Foodles is keema curry mixed with linguine and topped with fried garnishes and fresh chopped green onions. It reminded me of a slightly spicy beef taco mixed with linguine. It comes in a pint container that resembles an ice cream container. The masala chai (medium sweet) was okay. I think I prefer the saffron tea. If the place is slightly busy, the staff may ask you to wait to get your order in as they're busy fulfilling the previous orders.

Zafrani Chai or saffron Chai $5ish

Filli is a popular spot from the middle east that has landed in Houston. The staff really does seem like they're working hard to maintain quality and efficiency of getting items out. I was there during a particularly busy time and they kept the lines moving quickly and our food and drinks were out in a reasonable time. Plenty of seating, more added outside during high volume times. The zafrani Chai or saffron Chai was one of the most authentic and generally well brewed cups of Chai I've ever had. I HIGHLY recommend the hot version although the child version in a Capri sun style pouch does seem cute. The zafrani milk cake was nice but had a minimal aftertaste that was a little off. The anda Keema roll was a paratha (south Asian bread) with well spiced ground beef, cheese and egg. It came with fries and is best enjoyed when it's hot. It was incredible. The portion looks small but I honestly could've shared with someone, it was THAT filling. This is a place that very easily could've been over-hyped, but it lived up to it and had a fun vibe.

What a fun place to get Indian snacks and chai! If you are a fan of chai, this is your place. We tried the signature filli tea and Zafran chai tea, both are amazing: smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced with the sweetness and the chai spice. The caffeine content is strong, it will keep you energized and awake for a long time. We also tried the snacks: the Strawberry Rose Cake. It's like Indian version of tres leches cake, soaked in pink milk, topped with pistachio and rose flower petals. It's delicate and soft, highly recommend eating the cake there. Papdi chaat: first time trying chaat. It is so interesting, it has chickpeas, chutney, cold creamy yogurt and topped with crunchy sev. It is spicy, but worth it to try! There's plenty of seating inside, staff is nice and friendly. Service is kinda slow, waited 20-25 minutes for our order. Can't wait to come back and try other fun snacks here again. There's an Indian market next door, it's fun to walk around the store and grab additional treats afterwards.

The cafe was a lovely place to visit with a friend. The food was delicious! The service was good.

My friend wanted to try this cafe, and I'm glad she found it! The cafe is decorated very nicely and has a lot of seating. We ordered an Iced Zafran Chai (10/10!), Kunafa (nice subtle sweetness), Samosa Chaat (VERY SPICY for me), Spiced Zafran Pouch (a little too sweet for me), and Aloo Paratha (potato filling, spicy and crispy, would definitely order again). Their prices are reasonable and they have an extremely extensive menu. The staff also answered our questions about the menu and helped us choose what to order. The wait time was a bit long (20-25 min), but it was a nice place to catch up with a friend. In the future, I would love to try their shakes and the Desi Bread Masala Omelette.

Chicken Sliders & Mango Dragon Fruit Lemonade

I have been here twice, first time was in the evening, and second time was early as soon as the restaurant opened. Both visits we received excellent customer service. The entire staff is very pleasant and helpful. The ambiance is great, no tacky decor which is a plus. An abundance of seating which is really nice. As for the food, I have tried: Samosa chaat (not a fan, was served cold and a little too watered down), karak chai (excellent), mango dragon fruit lemonade (delicious), and the chicken sliders (presentation was picture perfect and taste was great. I understand the sizing of a slider, but I just felt like the actual piece of chicken to bun ratio was a little off. It didn't ruin anything for me, just something I noticed). I will definitely continue to be a repeat customer. I hope this franchise thrives in Houston and hopefully makes its way to other big cities like NY.

Wonderful environment and service! I love the lotus pouch drink (not pictured) and today I tried the schezwuan chicken foodles and was not disappointed!! They are the right amount of spicy and I couldn't wait to eat them that is why I have already ate half of it in the picture.

great cafe! the staff is always very friendly and helpful and the food is honestly great. Everything I've tried has been 10/10 but the samosa chaat is 12/10. overall excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices. will def be back!

Been passing by @filicafe for a while now and finally tried it out. I wasn't big fan of the pizza but the burger and man oh man. Their shakes.... The pistachio shake is AMAZING. I just wish it came in a bigger container :( I could drink those all day. So rich and creamy with pistachio flavor. I crave one every so often it's bad I live so close to it haha.

I sampled food from Filli at the Halal Food Festival. They served Chaat (a Pakistani chickpea dish layered with sauce and spices) and Samosas. For me, the food was nostalgic of my Pakistani background and I loved the flavors

It was my first visit--I ordered an almond milk cappuccino, an iced banana bread latte, and a chocolate croissant (note: the full kitchen opens an hour after the shop). The croissant was average, though I appreciated the smaller size compared to the oversized ones you usually see. One downside: the Wi-Fi was slow, even when it wasn't busy, so I ended up using my phone hotspot. I'd come back to try the matcha and explore more of the food menu.

All the paintings along the walls are Sobella's work. I would describe her space as cozy, relaxed, and inviting with Parisian music playing in the background. Sobella had us try out her Sri Lankan tea, which I would say was quite pleasant on its own and reminded me of Ceylon tea; it also paired well with cream and sugar. Then, she came out with our afternoon tea treats, which came in three tiers: savory sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and lemon cake with macarons. For the most part, all of the food was flavorful; the only constructive feedback I did have was that the bread, scones, and cake were a bit dry. Thankfully, the sandwich fillings, clotted cream and jam, cooked apple pieces, and cooked lemon peels added that much needed moisture. For each tier of treats, I do have specific commentary on them: Bottom tier: All of the sandwiches were flavorful. The first sandwich was a smoked salmon sandwich, which had a thin layer of cream cheese, smoked salmon, and arugula. Within the cream cheese itself were specks of freshly chopped dill throughout. The overall sandwich was fantastic. Next, we had a cucumber sandwich, which also had that dill infused cream cheese with crisp thinly sliced cucumbers. It was so refreshing. The third sandwich was a chicken salad sandwich, which had freshly diced apples and celery that added such a great crunch. The apples did add a bit of sweetness, but it wasn't overpowering. This too was a refreshing sandwich. Middle tier: The scones were imbedded with warm fall spices and small cooked apple pieces. Delicious! Now, we did have to add their fresh clotted cream and fragrant strawberry jam to add more moisture to the scone. Top tier: The lemon cake was brimming with lemon flavor and was studded with cooked lemon peel bits. It was a bit dry, though. Nothing that a sip of their tea won't fix. Their pistachio macaron was kind of dense and not as airy as I'm used to; but, the pistachio cream and pistachio pieces throughout more than made up for this. Yummy! In summary, this spot was a wonderful place for afternoon tea. The price was very reasonable as well at $40 per person. We look forward to coming here again with friends. Sobella also holds painting classes, so there's something else to do here. Come and check out this spot if you're looking for a relaxing afternoon tea spot.
