lovely place for a weekend brunch! i loooved their seasonal pumpkin pancake. it was perfectly spiced and sooo fluffy, definitely my fav thing we ordered i also really appreciate that they have plenty of healthier options! the spinach and tomatoes were super fresh, and the mushrooms and onions in the healthy turkey omelet were sautéed really well. their potatoes were also great, with a crispy, charred outside and soft center some downsides: i didnt really care for the broccoli and cheddar soup... it was too creamy and thick for my liking. our waitress was sweet, but unfortunately didnt check up on us very often. it was pretty busy when we visited, so that may be why overall, a really solid brunch spot with lots of fresh and lighter options. deffff coming back for the seasonal pancakes! read more

It's Sunday and it's 11:00am in Houston. If you go to sit down breakfast chances are there is a wait. We were fortunate and got in just before church let out. But there was a building wait for sure as we waited for food. Ordered Waffle, Sausage Gravy, and a meat lover omelette ordered side sausage gravy as well. Everyone reported great food quality and portion size. Sausage gravy came back bland and "too peppery" Manager was very active and engaging which was nice to see. Took a long time out of the kitchen at 37 minutes which led to the score. Probably a 3.5 if that score was available. read more

My server came back by and asked if everything was OK and I showed her the pancake, she asked if I wanted another one, and since I've already been there almost an hour I said no thank you, would you like to take one home? No thank you because I was not going home for several hours, and I don't think the pancake would've survived the heat. So they took off the pancake and the eggs that I had ordered and I get the bill and they charged me for a cup of hot tea. It was four dollars. The look of the place is nice but please don't let those kinds of things fool you. We tried again for a second chance and the pancakes were so dry and grainy (I'm just wondering how you mess up pancakes that bad). Probably the worst pancake I've ever had. Came to first watch today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I was seated immediately with 2 friends and the host was very attentive. It's a pretty casual dining experience with a very large menu so plenty of options to choose from. I went with the sushita brisket hash along with the lemon/blueberry cornbread. Both meals came out pretty quickly and were very good. I also loved that there was a barcode on the receipt that allows you to pay your bill online if you choose to. We had their signature lemon ricotta pancakes, and carnitas breakfast tostadas from the summer menu. The morning meditation juice was a great complement with the food. The pancakes were huge and in a stack of two. They were fluffy and fragrant. The creamy lemon curd was perfect. Absolutely love these pancakes. I immediately called and spoke to the Mgr, Patrick who was pleasant and offered a refund for the turkey and gravy (which would take up to 2 weeks to receive). The problem with Patrick is that he slammed the phone down in my ear after our conversation and my thank you and goodbye. VERY RUDE. I wasnt rude or disrespectful to him. We visited for brunch on a Sunday and both had the French toast. It was pretty good and a good portion, but this location looks nothing like the others. It felt like they really tried to make the space work but it doesn't. Parking was terrible, the inside is cramped. Service was okay, the waitress definitely rushed us through. Decided to try a new brunch spot out and found First Watch. There was a line but it was a very short wait. However, the address that is listed is not correct so make sure to google the correct address. We ordered the eggs Benedict, parm skillet hash, and blueberry pancake. The eggs Benedict came with a salad and was not the traditional English muffins but on a longer piece of bread. The ham was also shredded instead of being single slices. The hollandaise sauce was creamy but could use a little more flavor. The parm skillet hash came with eggs, bread, and fruit and is your everyday hash. The blueberry pancake was huge and came with a cranberry sauce that paired really well and the syrup was very warm. Overall, a nice brunch spot with good service and food! read more
