Wait staff was very aware and actually covered for one another, Manager stayed busy between the Phone and actually speaking to Patrons that seemed to know him quite well, I remembered him from previous visits there but he was engaged in conversation and we got a "Wave' and once he was over with the previous conversation he came over and asked how all was going so far and actually introduced me to someone from the "Home Land" Ireland who is a frequent visitor there as fate would have it.. Anyway keeping things short and to the point, the food was well worth the prices otherwise I would not have the number of visits I have had there in the first place.. It's Sunday and it's 11:00am in Houston. If you go to sit down breakfast chances are there is a wait. We were fortunate and got in just before church let out. But there was a building wait for sure as we waited for food. Ordered Waffle, Sausage Gravy, and a meat lover omelette ordered side sausage gravy as well. Everyone reported great food quality and portion size. Sausage gravy came back bland and "too peppery" Manager was very active and engaging which was nice to see. I really don't like leaving bad reviews but the food here is wayyyy below mid and gave my boyfriend food poisoning after eating their hash browns. The look of the place is nice but please don't let those kinds of things fool you. We tried again for a second chance and the pancakes were so dry and grainy (I'm just wondering how you mess up pancakes that bad). Probably the worst pancake I've ever had. Came to first watch today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I was seated immediately with 2 friends and the host was very attentive. It's a pretty casual dining experience with a very large menu so plenty of options to choose from. I went with the sushita brisket hash along with the lemon/blueberry cornbread. Both meals came out pretty quickly and were very good. I also loved that there was a barcode on the receipt that allows you to pay your bill online if you choose to. We had their signature lemon ricotta pancakes, and carnitas breakfast tostadas from the summer menu. The morning meditation juice was a great complement with the food. The pancakes were huge and in a stack of two. They were fluffy and fragrant. The creamy lemon curd was perfect. Absolutely love these pancakes. I immediately called and spoke to the Mgr, Patrick who was pleasant and offered a refund for the turkey and gravy (which would take up to 2 weeks to receive). The ambiance is family friendly with a farm house feel, and despite how busy it was, not too noisy actually. There is a wide menu selection, but a bit on the pricier side. It felt like they really tried to make the space work but it doesn't. Parking was terrible, the inside is cramped. Service was okay, the waitress definitely rushed us through. Our first visit to this First Watch location was slightly underwhelming. I tried the Bacado Omelet (w/ no sour cream), which comes with bacon, avocado, cheese, and pico de gallo. While it sounded good on the menu, the eggs were kind of rubbery and didn't have very much flavor. Also, there wasn't a lot of bacon or avocado in the omelet. My fiancé tried a different omelet and also felt like the eggs weren't great. Our table all shared some French toast, which I thought was much better than the omelets! However, the address that is listed is not correct so make sure to google the correct address. We ordered the eggs Benedict, parm skillet hash, and blueberry pancake. The eggs Benedict came with a salad and was not the traditional English muffins but on a longer piece of bread. The ham was also shredded instead of being single slices. The hollandaise sauce was creamy but could use a little more flavor. The parm skillet hash came with eggs, bread, and fruit and is your everyday hash.
