It's a great date spot. I loved the drinks and the service. That's about it. Came for a date night. We got some "mocktails". The Basil Smash was very refreshing, as was the Madame Blueberry. Our server did an awesome job with the service along with the menu as well. I was craving some Chicken Fried Steak so I got that. My date got the Rodeo Burger. The Chicken Fried Steak is pretty big, but that's about it. For 28.50, I could've saved my money and got a better one at Denny's. This one was flavorless, overcooked, and tasted like it was fried in old oil. Rodeo Burger was good. Next time, I'll probably just get a sandwich.

Tried again but never again. Food was ok we ordered from the brunch menu. The server was ok but this is what we had our water in .... And they felt this was ok I looked around and no one else had a scale glass only our table.... I'm done I won't try again

The food here was delicious and it was picturesque. We stated with some mimosas. The board for all of us to nibble and enjoy till our entrees arrived. Husband and I split the chicken sandwich which was huge and it had the best hash browns on the side. Son got a burger with a fried egg on it with a side of fries. Lots of beautiful delicious food. The only problem we had was with our server who seemed to not really be paying attention to us as he continued to forget what we ordered and our entrees come out at different times. Lots of free parking available in the near garages.

Decided to stop by this restaurant for Houston Restaurant Week. The menu was limited, and most entrées had an additional $5 charge. We tried the fried green tomatoes, which were delicious and a nice size, as well as the crab cakes (not included on the HRW menu). For our entrées, we went with the shrimp and andouille sausage pasta. Unfortunately, the shrimp was tough and the sausage was overcooked and dry. On the bright side, the margarita flight was great--except for the lavender flavor, which wasn't enjoyable. The service also left much to be desired. It took about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. Our waitress was very kind, but overall the service was slow. Overall, we don't plan on returning.

Food I had the burger with side salad. Super huge and the bun is super bouncy and soft. It tasted super meaty and seasoned enough. I would compare it to a higher quality burger than fast food and better than other fast casual burgers. They also allowed a side : fries or salad (if i remember correctly)in which i chose a salad. Further more, you could select the type of salad (I remember that since i had trouble deciding haha. Surprisingly they do not have mayo since i asked for some and they didn't have any. FYI my burger salad combo was ~$17. Also i parked in one of the garages near by and walked a couple of minutes to get here. Service 5/5. Friendly and attentive staff. Ambiance Felt like an upscale casual American diner to me (the price shows haha). Lots of options and vibes here are so chill and friendly! I would definitely come here again for a brunch or to hang out with friends to chit-chat. It is slightly on the pricey side for me. But once a blue moon or every other full moon is fine.

I came for brunch on a Sunday and surprisingly there was no wait. It seems like it would be a popular brunch spot as the restaurant has a very bright and modern feel, perfect brunch ambiance if you will. Now the question of the hour, would I come back? Hmmm hard to say. The food was not bad but not spectacular. I ordered the crispy chicken biscuit sandwich and the jalapeno cheddar hush puppies. The sandwich was nothing special, though I will commend the biscuit for being really soft and buttery. It was VERY LARGE I ate my sandwich open face style and still was not able to finish the one half of the biscuit. The star of my brunch was definitely the hush puppies. They were so light and flavorful, I LOVED them and couldn't get enough. I highly recommend.

The only redeeming quality of this place is the aesthetic. Our service was so awful, our server was so hard to track down for the entirety of our visit. The food was so bland and flavourless, both my husband and I had to add an obscene amount of condiments to make our dishes worth eating. Wouldn't recommend.

I would probably give them 3.5 stars if possible. The service was good, especially for valentine's day. Our drinks were delicious and our app was tasty(queso). The entree my sister got was good but her mashed potatoes weren't warm. The bacon wrapped shrimp is good but the potato crisps on top are overkill. The shrimp are hidden underneath. The fries are ok. They could be crispier. I would come back and stick to drinks and apps. I feel like a lot of the entrees are kinda pricey for what you get. They had live music which was a nice touch.

We loved this place! Went on a Saturday morning for breakfast and got there as soon as the doors opened at 10 am. The seating is comfortable, there's plenty of round booths or tables and beautiful sun coming in through the floor to ceiling windows. We didn't get to try the "cat head" biscuits because they had some problem in the kitchen but the super friendly server and manager made up for it with offering other items on the menu. Everything was delicious but the must order was the jalapeño Hushpuppies!! We tried the guacamole with birria queso, avocado toast, fried green tomatoes, buttered pecan pancakes, breakfast plate, and the chicken fried steak and eggs. SO FULL!!

We went on a quiet Monday night but we had such a great time. Our waiter (Jose?) was super friendly and attentive and our orders came out on time and correctly. I had the birria grilled cheese which was a popular menu item! It had a kick but was savory and delicious. I saved half and my boyfriend said it was good as well! I think the manager came to check in on us - service was A+. The decor was modern and clean inside. There are free parking garages nearby! Thanks for a great time!

Update: I've been to State Fare on several occasions for work and personal meals and have always had a great experience. The team at State Fare is attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly and I've always had a positive experience with the food as well. The service time has improved in my last few visits which is why I've updated my review! The portions for everything I've tried are always huge. The queso is super good as well. The restaurant is clean with great ambiance and whether my group has had a reservation or not, we've always been accommodate and well taken care of. Highly recommended!

This restaurant was awesome!!!! Located in a beautiful shopping area there is plenty of garage parking available close to the restaurant. The staff was also excellent. I ordered the shrimp and grits for brunch with a frozen drink and they were both absolutely amazing. The grits were full of flavor and filling. I would love to visit this restaurant again

Staying nearby for the weekend and wanted to grab a bite and decided on this place. No reservation but we were quickly seated. Soon after, our sweet waitress greeted us and took our drink orders. We were pretty hungry since we got off the road traveling just before and quickly ordered an appetizer and entree to share. We went with the jalapeño hushpuppies and the birria grilled cheese. My God both came out with plentiful amounts of food. The first bite of the hush puppies was refreshing and crunchy. They were paired with a creamy sauce and what a nice match. Next was the grilled cheese! Omg it was huge and I'm so glad we shared. It was buttery, toasted well and full of flavors. Definitely recommend.

I loved the wonton chips that come with it. The reason I gave it 4 stars was due to the dip being too cheesy and the 2nd bartender (not my original one). As a bartender I'm use to working as a team, so I expect that from most bartenders who are working behind the bar together. While my bartender was busy assisting others, the young lady who was working with him checked on the customer to my left and right as if my seat was empty.

I ate at Norigami Tuesday night and it was great as were the cocktails served up at the nextdoor bar called Hidden Bar. There is street parking, but odds are you'll need to go into the free garage which is steps away from the restaurant. Free parking and great food makes the burbs my favorite place to go. Reservation options weren't available online but I imagine you can probably call ahead if need be. We came at dinner time on a Friday night and were able to get a table right away in their spacious patio. The restaurant itself is very nice inside and out and has a high end feel to it. Customer service was straight business but still ok. Between my friends and I, we saw stuff on social media and online to have a pretty good idea of what to get. I started off with a Thai beer called Singha which was nice and refreshing. My friends got different cocktails and enjoyed them, especially the lychee martini. For the table, we started off with the popular Heaven Beef. It was marinated, fried beef with sticky rice. This was indeed heavenly. The little strips of beef were so flavorful on it's own, but the sauces they provided gave it some heat plus an added layer of flavor. For entrees, we went family style and got a few different items. We saw a nearby table get the chef's special Bone-In Ribeye. It looked like a mini tomahawk but was still a generous portion. It was MKT priced which ended up being close to 90 bucks. This steak was amazing, but we felt it was a bit overpriced. For a curry dish, we went with the Panang Curry with chicken. This dish was so good. We got everything at pretty high spice levels which was the way to go. For a rice dish, we got the Garlic Shrimp Fried Rice. They know how to do fried rice here. The shrimp in it was large and plentiful. The garlic flavor was definitely there but not overpowering. For a noodle dish, we got the Pad See Ew with shrimp. Another hit. All the portions were generous. I usually never leave a Thai spot with mango sticky rice, but no room this trip. Overall, Thai Thumbz has made it high on my favorite Thai restaurants in the Greater Houston area. I will most definitely be back.
