The label says "Rahat Since 1950" at this Rahat Bakery located in the corner of Park Point Mall facing Park Point Drive. There was a bit of drive coming from SW Houston. I heard from my Yelper friend Sara I who was interested to introduce me to this bakery. I went to Rahat Bakery on the Labor Day holiday. I was glad that I did. I ordered one of each from the hot food case and whatever little pastries I could. While there was seating, my takeout was for the long drive home. I found the flavors were more to my palate. I don't like overly sweet on my ladoo, barfi and lemon tart, which in contrast to those Indian sweets in Hillcroft area. In the flavor scale of 1 to 5, 5 being Holy Cow and 1 being Mild, I have tried: 3 of 5 Chicken Eggroll 5 of 5 Drumstick 1 of 5 Beef Puff 2 of 5 Chicken Puff 6 of 5 Beef Patty (outrageously delicious) 4 of 5 Samosa The chicken egg roll was crispy and tasty. I don't need any dipping sauce because the flavor is right on point with a little bit of spicy goodness and lots of chicken meat in there. The drumstick was da bomb. It surprised me with a giant kick in my mouth. The beef patty was really powerful. The flavor was out of this world. It's like eating a spicy beef jerky without the chewy texture. I would take some for my upcoming long-distance trip. Chicken puff was more flavorful than the beef puff. I was glad that ate them in the right sequence. Otherwise, things would taste differently. OMG, the surprise of the day was the samosa. It's bigger than my fist. Humongous samosa for $1.99 was unheard of. The flavor was on point for me. I didn't need dipping sauce either. The wrapper was flaky and light. It tasted better the next day. Most importantly, the prices are very reasonable. Employees were friendly. I chatted with the manager for a little bit. He shared the history of Rahat Bakery and their plan on expansions. I definitely will come back to try the cakes and brunch. Dropped 1 star for the entrance. There are 2 steps in front of the door. I don't think they can fix that. It's not just tripping hazard but also dangerous for those people who are not steady on their feet, like me.

We were visiting from CA this past weekend, and were craving Pakistani chicken patties. So went to Rahat Bakery in Sugarland Tx. As we entered, we were greeted by the most courteous staff and owners. They helped us choose from a wide variety of Pakistani snacks, desserts, drinks available on the menu. Went in for chicken patties but ended up trying their chicken buns, chicken drumsticks, samosas, chai etc. and more chicken patties to go! Everything was delicious and the flavours reminded us of back home. They even gave us samples of methai to try. The restaurant was clean and spacious with comfortable seating. IK's poster on the wall made us so proud! Will definitely go back to Rahat when we visit Houston next time iA.

The variety is impressive, from savory breads to delicate desserts, and everything tastes fresh rather than overly sweet or heavy. Their sea salt coffee and specialty drinks are balanced and smooth, and the self-serve bakery layout makes it easy to browse without feeling rushed. I also appreciate how efficiently they package everything, especially when ordering multiple items. If you're looking for high-quality pastries and drinks that feel a step above typical chain bakeries, 85°C delivers every time.

I stopped by because of the June promotion offering buy one, get one 50% off…read more When it was my turn to check out, I pulled up the reward in the app and asked the cashier, an Asian man with glasses how to redeem the offer. I haven't redeemed any rewards in several months because I've been overseas, so I wasn't sure whether I simply scanned the code or if there was another step involved. Instead of explaining the process, he repeatedly pointed at the screen and said, it's right here. When I asked for clarification, he continued to respond the same way without actually explaining what I needed to do. His tone and mannerisms made me feel as though I was being treated like an inconvenience for asking a simple question. Not every customer is familiar with the app, and some may be using rewards for the first time. A little patience and clearer communication would have gone a long way. The experience was made more frustrating by the long wait beforehand. There were only two cashiers working and the customer ahead of me spent several minutes at the register asking questions. Another cashier was also helping a customer who needed additional assistance. While I understand that questions happen and employees do their best, waiting a considerable amount of time only to receive dismissive customer service was disappointing. Good customer service isn't just about completing a transaction--it's about helping customers understand the process and making them feel welcome. Unfortunately, that was not my experience during this visit.

There is no billboard or web article acclaim - but when you step inside you are transported to warmth and love on 100. This place is no exception. Such a cozy feel, the baristas are so kind and accommodating, actually smiling - can you imagine that?! They genuinely take interest in you. Here is the set up. There are so many chairs and tables, it feels like you're in a massive well decorated living room. Ample space to spread out and work or study or read scripture. Speaking of reading scripture - if God made coffee on Day 6 it was because the two new humans made him exhausted. That's why he needed rest on Day 7 teeheehee. I had a matcha latte. It was wayyyy to sweet for me. Considering I do not have a single sweet tooth in my mouth and usually drink my matcha plain. They were kinda and gave me a coffee on the house with free refills. There are alot of pastries, I heard there were tacos, I will try those next time. Will I be back?... of course. This place was popping by 9 and I see why. They are doing something RIGHT!

I don't have to drive to Pinoy Corner in the Medical Center area to get delicious baked goods. This is super convenient to shop my favorite Filipino pastries and grocery at the same time. I spent average $25 each time shopping here. It has become a must go place for me. I particularly like the chicken Siopao and Ensaymada. I'm not a fan of ube. Because I could easily be overwhelmed with ube everything. Shopping here I have to start from the grocery store entrance to get the plate, tissue and tong first. On the other side is the baskets. The employees were friendly and everything is self serve. I would love to bring my friends here to show them around the store. I found Dubai Chocolate Croissant being the most exotic item because it has knafeh filling with chocolate coating. I couldn't eat it in my car but I have to eat it by the kitchen sink.
