I love that there are more Bubble Tea places opening out in the suburbs of Katy, Richmond, and Rosenburg areas! The store itself is on the smaller side, narrow but long. There are plenty of tables and sitting areas for your drinks and small snacks, but the tables are close together. Big parties won't be able to sit super far apart, but that's ok as most people don't stay long. The menu is pretty extensive here, with new seasonal flavors every so often, which are advertised on signs and the TV within the store. They have slushies, fresh teas, different selections of milks and milk alternatives to choose from, smoothies, and chamoy drinks with fruit in them. They also have snacks that you can munch on like chips, cookies, and muffins. They have eggrolls and fries to order in terms of hot foods and mozzarella cheese sticks, I believe? But I never had those before. They will pack your drinks into a clear plastic bag for to-go orders, but it's really impractical for car rides home as two drinks barely fit in it and three drunks definitely do not. There is not a base so your drinks will roll around. I mean, they won't spill since the lids are vacuum sealed on, but it looks dangerous as it rolls around on the floor or on my seat. I usually have to transfer the drinks to cuphders in my car and then transfer them back into the bag when I arrive at home. Not a super big deal, but just putting it out there. So this is a shiny new Kung Fu Tea location in the middle of nowhere in Richmond Texas, not too horribly far from Katy and not to horribly far from Sugar Land and not even too horribly far from Vietnamesetown and Chinatown. Sort of in the middle of all three of them, and a sort of a tumbleweed-infested wasteland between a lot of popular areas. If you like to take the Westpark Tollway then it's not too far off the tollway. It's also not too far from the Grand Parkway. And most importantly, it has extremely lovely service and really nice products too. Here's a list of my fave drinks here: What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! I also love the regular milk tea with Oreo! The decor is very pretty and very much unlike anything I've seen it at Kung Fu Tea before. It has a distinct and different feel from a lot of the other locations around town, and it wasn't a surprise for me to learn that the owner of this place does not own any of the others. It's definitely worth a trip out here and we've now made several of such trips, and we really like it here. Their drinks are great and they're happy to make us the off-menu lemon black tea and they do a very good job with it. I would definitely say it's one of the better Kung Fu Tea locations we've ever been to and we love coming here and it definitely earns five stars. Let's finish off with a rap, shall we. Maybe the reason why I've gotten over my aversion to boba tea! Tried it for the first time the other day and ordered the ginger milk tea with no modifications to sweetness plus added boba. I also ordered their new s'mores slush to the order w boba for the kids. The ginger tea was quite sweet so I probably would adjust this the next time but I found the whole drink to be well balanced w the ginger and honestly rather soothing. Like a nice nightcap before bed. The boba addition was great too. I found prices to be pricey but the quality of ingredients is apparent. If you've tried Kung fu tea elsewhere and were not thoroughly impressed I suggest you give this location a try! The boba is perfect at 6:20 PM and y'all know that is saying a lot (no soggy boba here). I have a few go to drinks but give their pumpkin oolong milk tea, milk caps and punches a try! You get to customize your drink in regards to ice, sugar, toppings and there is an APP to reward you for your boba habit! So happy to have this location so close! Get the purple yam latte with milk cap (sea salt if they have it), less ice, regular sweetness. It's my absolute favorite and they do it right every time. The lactose milk is a plus. I've had other drinks before like the strawberry milk (great but very creamy, beware my lactose folk), mango snow (again, great but very creamy, beware my lactose folk), and Oreo wow milk (simply not flavorful besides the Oreo crumbs), the pina colada slush (not bad when they don't forgot your pineapple flavor ‍). I finds it's best to just order ahead and then pick up. Doesn't take too long after ordering. They are always quick. The only thing that frustrates me is that sometimes in the app you get free items that a location may not have. Went here on an afternoon with my sister. It was my first time visiting this location. I live very close by but it took me weeks to check it out... so my PSFP Place: it was clean and well decorated. I loved the interior Service: pretty slow. I understand it's probably because location is still new. Employees are still trying to navigate everything... BUT what I do not get is why was there only one employee working at the front. She was doing both cashier and food handling that was why orders were taking long. Another review? Wow, it's shocking! But I feel like I have been at this place for a long enough day and few in-and-outs before writing this review. First of all, timing. I usually go to this place in the late afternoon to evening, mostly on the way home from work. It's not bad, not loud, not busy. I got to the place at about 1 PM (12/12) before school's out. Still not too bad -- music isn't too loud, employees a little bit gossipy, but I made the mistake of forgetting to plug in my headphones... so, you technically can tune them out and they're not too loud to be annoying. NOW, if you go during school days, hence after school, since this one is located right next to a high school, IT GETS LOUD. High school students are generally loud, but this is more a forewarning. I just tune them out. And plus, it's after school and during finals week, nothing really can do about it. Second, the drinks. If you forgo the prices the drinks are, the drinks are pretty good compared to other places. They have a lot of choices and not too bad. Simple straight to the point. Last, the wifi. It's a bit spotty at this place. There is other places I've been to where the wifi is spot on. It still works, but sometimes it either takes a long time to load or there's a lot of people using the same wifi. Not bad, but could be annoying to some. Overall, the star is taken off due to the price of Kung Fu Tea in general, and the spotty wifi at the place. Stopped by here to pick up some drinks for myself and the family. The place is a very clean and cozy atmosphere. They have board games available to play during their regular operations (non-covid). The staff was very friendly and super patient with us as we decided on what to order. We all got medium sized drinks and the portions seem fair and consistent with other tea places in the area. My husband did mention that he thought they were on the pricier side for their drinks. Our drinks came out to $20 for 4 drinks. I got the coconut cream/milk tea and it was perfect with great flavor. I got it with the regular amount of sugar but I do like that you can adjust the sugar content of their drinks. My younger son got an orange tea with mango bursts in it. I had a sip of his and I did notice that the burst balls were very small in comparison to other places that I've had. This is where the one star was lost for me since it is an additional charge to add bursts after all. Overall, this place is great and I would probably return if I'm in the area. read more

Kung Fu Tea used to be an enjoyable place for my friends and I to go to. But now it is dreadful to even walk into the place. There were 3 people working behind the desk and every single one of them were rude and unprofessional. They were eating full on meals while making my drink, they were cussing extremely loud, and were extremely rude. As soon as I walked in the dirty looks started, And don't even get me started on how I asked one question and they looked at me dumb and didn't give me a strait up answer. They also never asked for my order and just expected me to know what I wanted off the top of my head without looking at a menu. When I got my drinks I had my straws tossed to me instead of handed. Update Q2 2019: They've become faster and the notices regarding the app have been put up near the point of sale area. Adding a star to reflect the new tuning from GM accordingly. The one way to make it better is to follow something like Cocohodo; and change the percentage points of the post-sale tipping options. Smart location. They're slow as hell even after their tuning period after grand opening. Pick up the pace people. And those of you used to Bellaire style price points everything is extra FYI. Conflicted feelings on KFT being in this part of town because it's so nice that it's nearby Target/HEB/etc. but also means I'll be getting boba a lot more since I'm always in the area. This KFT location has been pretty consistent even during it's grand opening. Owner seems very kind and helpful, especially since he finally convinced me to download the KFT app. As you know, the service isn't the best in China Town but here the workers are always pleasant. Top drinks would have to be the KF Honey Oolong MT (50% sweet w/boba), Grapefruit or Orange Green Tea, and occasionally the Green Milk Tea (I haven't ordered this so long, I forget which sweetness level I get. But I do enjoy it hot more than cold). Their KF Oolong MT is a pretty safe drink to start with if you've never had milk tea and it;s better than the original milk tea in my opinion. The tapioca consistency is perfect and has yet to be overcooked or under cooked. However, there was only once that I've had it where the tapioca was sweeter than usual and what I would normally prefer. I've always like Kung Fu Tea when they opened their first location in Houston but it was too far of a drive. When I found out they opened one closer to me than having to Door Dash it from the Katy location I was excited! I enjoy Kung Fu Milk Tea which is my all time favorite and my husband likes the Lychee Punch. These two you can't go wrong. I did try 2 additional flavors and one of which is an new drink. Let's start with the new drink on the menu: Honey Lemonade. It was way too sour with a hint of honey. The Rosehip Milk Tea is a regular on the menu was not what I imagined it to be. It was more like a smoothie than tea? If you do not drink it within 10-20 minutes you start seeing it separate and then you have to mix it again. I was hoping this was more of a classic Taiwanese Rose milk tea but it wasn't. It was different taste, texture, and not tea! My ratings for the Honey Lemonade * and the Rosehip Milk "Tea" * but if I stick to my go to Kung Fu Milk Tea and Lychee Punch it is definitely 5 stars! read more

I've had a love-hate relationship with most Kung Fu Teas, but not this one! Their service and drink quality has never let me down. The manager/owner is always so nice and greets us when he's there. They keep the place sparkling clean, and the service is always friendly and top notch. The boba is particularly good here, and my go-to is their oolong milk tea, half sweet with boba. Finally! A good boba place in this part of town. Kung fu tea has always been my favorite place to go for boba because the drinks are always consistent and tasty. I also really love their tapioca "bubbles", because they are sweet and the perfect amount of chewiness! My top drinks to order here are: Oolong milk tea, Wintermelon milk tea, and the lychee punch! I typically ask for 70% sweetness on the milk teas. This location is by far the friendliest Kung fu tea I've been to. Immediately when you enter the store, you hear "Welcome to Kung Fu Tea!"
