They have the best popcorn/crispy chicken. I have been to several spots and this one is the best. Great flavor and made with juicy chicken breast. They also have different spice level to chose from. However - it always varies. I always order 'spicy' level but 50% its the right amount of spice. 25% I don't taste any heat the other 25% its waaaaayyyy too spicy. Like makes me dizzy spicy. But its always worth the risk for me lol because it still tastes great! read more

They recently remodeled so it's a little less crowded and a little more comfortable. There is a $10 minimum for credit cards, which is annoying. The music can get really loud. There are more food options now and not all of them are junk food, so that's a plus. Parking still sucks (and you WILL get ticketed/towed if you park in either of the adjacent lots). read more

My coworkers and I get boba every Thursday as an office treat. We discovered Tea Spot with their extensive menu and delicious boba! We loved the order ahead and pick up option, advertised throughout their location. We understand that we had a large order, but the kitchen seemed like it didn't seem fit to fulfill it the capacity it was facing. After waiting 40 minutes for our drink order to be processed, with a few mistakes and some missing orders, we were less than impressed with the service this week. With the establishment full and online orders pushing the staff, its no surprise that the manager turned away future large orders from us. read more

I remember coming here with my friends when they just opened and had a 1$ boba milk tea promo. When it's only a dollar, basically you got what you pay for. The milk tea tasted super artificial... it's definitely not worth more than 1$ , and honestly I'd rather pay a little more to get something I'd actually enjoy drinking and wasn't just made from powder. This is the closest boba place that I live by with easy parking and late hours. There's a always an interesting group of students here. The plated food items seem to be popular but I recommend the Milk Tea here. Can't go wrong with that! read more

this place isn't amazing but it's located conveniently and within walking distance from caltech... the boba is okay, the drinks are okay...not bad but not amazing either. their food is also okay. overall, this place is okay. but it's a good place to study with a nice atmosphere and they have free wi-fi. i feel really at home here. once in a while they have promotions which make their drinks ridiculously cheap. i usually go here if i can't get a ride to arcadia/san gabriel. read more

I got the basic pearl milk tea and it was ok. I usually look for a place that has pearls that are chewy, but not gooey or hard in the center. It's the Goldilocks thing. I think this place verged on too gooey. Just on the edge of it - so not bad. I'd go back if I were craving pearl tea and was in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for it. They do have an interesting option for a lower calorie pearl. I went half and half. They were easy to test because they were pale pink colored. They tasted about the same, but lighter. Tea Spots has our favorite boba tea in the area. It's always fresh and yummy. They also have some great food, which is perfect for lunch. I really love the thai noodles. My husband always gets the special of the day, and it's always very good. The parking is a little difficult, as the lot is very small and it shared with several other businesses. They have really good "happy hour" deals & they aren't limited to just a certain "hour" either. On the weekends they have a lot of deals going on. Everything you order is totally worth the price. The biggest downside to this place is that some of the food options available are questionable. I ordered the pork friend rice w/ tofu & vegetables. And was given a plate that had rice with pork meat on it, some steamed vegetables on the side & then in a bowl there was a stew that had what I think/hope was pork & chunks of fried tofu. It was definitely strange & I had a hard time eating some of it because I didn't know exactly what it was. BUT! The drinks I've had from Tea Spots have always been pretty awesome. I ordered an italian peach soda & there was no cream in it, which took me by surprise, but nonetheless it was pretty delicious. I will definitely go back to this place when I'm in the area, but probably just for their drinks and appetizers. . . . unless I'm feeling risky, I'll order a meal from here. read more

Delicious salt/pepper chicken, even more delicious salt/pepper squid, and very solid boba/milk teas. The ambience is pretty cool too, lots of tables, some lounge couches, a bit of everything. As other reviewers have said, parking lot sux, and it's full of students, which gives it a cool college campus vibe (which works for us, may not for others). I love how they open late on weekends. :) I was here on a sunday night till 12am and there's not a lot of place in pasadena that's open that late on a sunday night! I've only ordered an iced green tea here but it was great nonetheless (albeit, a little on the pricy side at 3 bucks..) one of the best boba spots i've been to with the largest selection of jelly's and bobas. They even have "pink" boba which has less carbs than regular. They also make the amount of sugar to order which is great. Have a HUGE selection of milk teas, smoothies, slushies, shave ice, and food. I like this place due to the size of their drinks. it is like the super big gulp of boba milk tea. It tastes refreshing in the summer heat. Word of caution, three is a lot of sugar in these drinks, so it isn't for everyone with health issues or dieters. So enjoy it with moderation. Now one thing, that does bug me, is the boba to tea ratio. For a big size drink, they don't give you a good amount of boba balls. Oh, just in case, for all of you don't know what boba is, it is like a over-sized tapioca pearls. It is around the size of a small marble. I had the food here also, i think it is alright. it is like Taiwanese home cooking, like rice and meat gravy and noodle dishes. If you do want to get the snack, the fried chicken pieces is the way to go. Just don't expect amazing foods. The parking can be an issue here. It is small strip mall across the street from Pasadena City College. So there is plenty of car and foot traffic. There maybe times, when you need to wait for your parking spot. read more

Love this place! Only place that makes Thai tea smoothies in the area! It's right across the street from school and their prices are reasonable! The large is like $4.00 and some change which isn't too bad...i've heard other places give you more for cheaper, but the convenience and cleanliness of this place makes it worth it! I love the food here and the shaved ice is amazing! The honey lemon tea is great! We had potstickers and squid...even though I asked for mild they were spicy but yummy! If you go here you have to get the pepper crispy chicken. Usually I just get the snack version, which comes with a LOT of chicken for a snack. The boba here is good too!! Prices are O.K. for a place right across from a college, but still worth the trip. read more

Favorite boba place in Pasadena, good good and service. It is just always crowded, and parking sucks. But besides that it is a nice place to go if you want a late night bite or drink. The crispy chicken is great they give you a good amount for the price you pay. They make fresh boba, and it's the only boba place that I've been to that has pink boba!
