Other people's açaí bowls was something I could complain about ENDLESSLY. I'm just the worst kind of açaí bowl snob because I make them myself and wanted to open a shop and fix the "bad açaí bowl" problem. I've tried bowls from coffee shops, vegan organic places, farmers markets, and almost every açaí shack from here to Hawaii whose only job was to make one well. Whether the açaí was actually ice cream, or it was soup, or the granola was gross or the fruit sucked- I always had a problem LOL But now, after years I decided to try one of several options in this area. Have booked this company 3 times for corporate events and they have been consistently late. First time over an hour late and this last time 45 minutes late. I'm pretty sure they were late the second time, but I can't confirm as another associate oversaw that booking for me. Regardless, we have had to adjust our serving times to accommodate their tardiness. Not to mention the quality of the set-up, product, and service has declined. The bowls are now half the size as they were before but at a rate of 10$ each + taxes. They only sent two people to service 300 people in a two-hour times span. Which has caused a 40-minute wait time. The set-up display looked janky and not the most sanitary. Like the team was peeling bananas still while serving. When I went to check in, they said, "It seems us being late didn't matter because there was no line when we got here." I'm like that's because we had to communicate to everyone that you all were late. When booking them over a month ago, I asked the owner to fill out paperwork for our accounts payable department, which I have yet to receive, even though I was nice enough to pay them in advance. The excuse....they were working Coachella. No worries, we will not be booking again. Lesson learned. read more

A few weeks ago my job hosted a staff appreciation day and they had acai bowl stall on-site. It was from Acai Bar with two staffs making custom bowls for everyone. We only had one base flavor which was acai. In the past I never cared for acai bowls but after I had one from here, I was hooked! I also tried acai bowls from different places but never liked them as much as from Acai Bar. I was in the area and stopped by after they opened on a Saturday morning. I managed to find parking in the back but it was difficult since a popular restaurant was located there. The store is also small. There were four customers inside and having more than 6 people in there was already crowded. I chose a custom bowl and mentioned it was my first time at this location. The staff was so nice and gave me a free 5th topping since it was my first time. I chose acai for base, granola, goji berries, strawberry, cacao nibs and honey as my toppings. I do think it's best to eat this right away. They have tables and chairs in front of the store. I took it home, freeze it for a bit and enjoyed it then. This order was placed through DoorDash for pickup and scheduled ahead of time. I arrived about ten minutes after placing the order, and DoorDash already showed it as 'ready.' When I told the employee I had a pickup order, he acted like he knew what I was talking about and started looking around, even checking the fridge. The smoothie hadn't actually been made it had been sitting out. Instead of remaking it properly, he simply added more ice and re-blended it. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the mistake, nothing. The lack of care and professionalism completely ruins the experience. The product might be decent, but the customer service is horrendous. This place seriously needs to do better. read more

I found this spot when we were waiting for our table at the restaurant next door. We had just come back from a hike so something fresh and icy really hit the spot. We got their large to share among our group of 4 and we finished it instantly. Everyone loved the fresh fruit and acai. I especially liked the portions of fruit they gave. Some places are stingy about the amount of toppings, but this placed packed it in for us. Parking can be a bit hard because the lot is small and street parking is usually full. This used to be a regular stop for me, but there were too many health code concerns for me to go back. I saw too many employees touching the register, phone, and even pick something off the floor and then immediately touch food. My final visit was when there was a sick employee coughing without covering their mouth, touching their face, then handling food without washing their hands. After one late afternoon of outdoor pickleball playing, I had craving for an acai berry smoothie. I consulted with Yelp and found Acai Bar. The name of the business has the item I wanted so it must be their specialty. It was only 7 minutes away from where I was at and it was on my way home so I gave it a try. It's a tiny little shop. There is street parking available in front of the shop. It has 3 bar stools inside and a few tables + chairs outside. Staff was friendly and pleasant. I went straight for my $9.00 acai smoothie. I don't know how many ounces it was, but it wasn't 32 oz... much smaller than that. I was the only customer at the time so wait time wasn't very long at all. When I was holding and looking at the smoothie, I was thinking to myself, why does it look watery??? All my prior acai smoothie have thicker consistency at other juice places. Also my drink wasn't filled up to the top... see pic! Anyway, I took my first slurp and sure enough it was very liquidy which was okay, but I felt my drink went faster than I would have liked LOL. It didn't last very long. Two surprising ingredients that I didn't expect to have in my acai smoothie were dates and peanut butter even though they were spelled out as two of the ingredients for that drink LOL. I loved the dates! I wished there were more of them. As for the peanut butter, I can't say I love it, but I don't hate it. I could do without the peanut butter. I felt like I tasted the dates and peanut butter more than the acai berry. Will I be back? I really don't know. I really love this place, the açaí bowls are always delicious and worth coming back for! That said, today was the first time I've ever had to wait over 20 minutes for my order. The poor young man working deserves a raise and some help, he was handling everything on his own: the register, phone orders, and making all the bowls. He was clearly doing his best, but understandably got a little frazzled and the order sequence got mixed up (someone who ordered after me got theirs first). This wasn't his fault at all, it's a management issue. On a busy Saturday afternoon, there should definitely be more than one person working. I was craving acai after a workout , but with so many Acai places around, it's so hard to decide where to go! My friends and I chose to try Acai Bar instead of going to our usual spots. It was definitely worth trying, but not good enough to get me to come back. The Nature bowl is a 6oz build your own cup with 4 toppings allowed. They have a variety of fruits, nuts, and other toppings. However, compared to their competitors, I found their options for toppings a bit limited. Also their strawberries didn't taste as fresh as other acai places (?) I'm not sure it's been glazed with sugar or maybe just pre-cut and sitting there. The acai itself is good though. The service was a bit slow as there were only two workers and multiple groups were in line. Don't expect to be greeted with friendly faces either, I think they might've just been overwhelmed. Overall, given the plentiful options of acai places in the area and some that offer unlimited toppings for about the same cost and size, I think I'd pass on coming back again. However, if you're in the area and want to get some acai, give them a shot, it's great to support small businesses! read more

The inside is very small and only has 3-4 chairs. And patio seating about two tables when it's not raining. The cashier was somewhat helpful and walked us through the menu options. They have unlimited toppings which is great so you're able to get a lot. They have a wide variety of fruit, nuts, toppings, and butters. Some are an extra charge so double check before ordering. They have smoothies and other food items as well. A few iced coffee, matcha lattes, and Nutella lattes. Overall the food was good and we would definitely come back. I opted for almond butter which was a $1 extra. The açaí base is delicious and I love the smooth texture. Really bad taste. Fruit is semi room temp. Their oatmeal is made with hot water and it's not good. The servers are sitting down on their phone's so customers have to sit outside. I personally did not have a good experience. Response to owner : A man and a women wearing your brand shirt with blonde hair sitting looked like an owner i assume was training someone who didn't seem to know where anything was at (not her fault I would assume whoever is training should be next to her until she is able to do it herself.) Maybe you're confused you can make it with milk , almond milk , 2% milk something called overnight oats where it's cold doesn't make your acai melt and taste like bland oatmeal. I've been coming to this spot after work or a run because I like the outdoor seating and I live right up the road. The staff here are always incredibly kind.
