They've since opened another location in Redondo Beach. This spot is quite popular. I always see people outside when I drive by. The staff here are friendly. Inside is cozy with limited seating, but there is also a patio area out front. They offer Açaí & Pitaya Bowls, Smoothies, Juices, pre-packaged snacks and beverages to go. I ordered a mini acai bowl, which comes with 3 toppings. ($6.51) Larger bowls come with 7 toppings and 1 nut butter. Way too much for me. The tropical acai sounded good, so I got that with fresh blueberries, chocolate granola, & chocolate pebbles. As an acai bowl snob, this place definitely gets my 2 thumbs up. I love finding new modern day acai bowl places. By modern day, I mean places where they have funky flavors for bases, interesting and unlimited toppings. Not the simple brazilian style where acai/pitaya are the only base options, and the only toppings are the holy trinity (strawberry, blueberry, bananas). It was a little confusing at first, because you order at the register on the right side, then make your way left to customize your bowl..? I was a little confused at first. I thought it was so cool that they had an ube flavored base, and it was so creamy and delicious. The toppings available were akin to what you'd find at somewhere like Roots and Rye or Blue Bowl. Berry bowl has always been my go to but I noticed for one of the $12 bowls, I ordered online to go, it wasn't as full as they usually fill it. Which is disappointing for the price you're paying. The bowls I've received from berry bowl before never looked this small in size. I ordered a regular size over the mini because I wanted the amount that's in the regular bowl. Only 1 employee has such a bad attitude I don't know his name but he is extremely rude doesn't say hello doesn't ask what we need. It's just like hurry up and order type of vibe he gives out. I hate leaving a one star during these times and I don't know if I hit them on an off day but the pitaya bowl was not good. Very strange texture that I've never encountered in a pitaya bowl. The base had a gooey texture that was super off putting and it didn't have that delicious tropical taste that I love in pitaya bowls. The staff are unfriendly and slow moving. There was only one couple in front of me and I waited probably 15 min to start my order. Then when I asked for blueberries the container was pretty empty and gross looking and the employee just scraped the last of them into my bowl. They should have changed out the tray and I never would have known. It was offputting. Overall this spot was a miss for me. Great setup, love the topping options but the quality of the bowl is just not there. read more

Berry Bowl makes a fantabulous chia pudding that's truly magic IMO. So light & creamy, & not overly sweet (I feel like I'm eating a spoon of sugar at some other establishment). When you combine all these topping, you get a bowl of deliciousness that keeps you coming back for more! Did you check out my bowl? This is only a kid-size bowl! What!?! Yes, you read that correctly... a kid-size bowl of all this yumminess! And it more than satisfies a hungry adult. Berry Bowl's kid-size bowl serving is slightly smaller than regular bowls in the South Bay for about 1/4 less serving. Açaí bowls are not cheap, but at Berry Bowl you get more bang for your buck. It's a bit of a drive for me from the South Bay, but so worth the drive... easier on Sundays mid-afternoon because there's less traffic, it's easier to find parking, & you don't have to pay for metered street parking on Sundays. I have to say it was pretty darn good. I got the tropical acai bowl. The regular size was a decent amount, although if you're particularly hungry I'd go for the large. Service was great. Friendly staff and they don't skimp on the toppings. Inside is nice with a few tables and a couch. It's a good place for small group. There's plenty of parking meters on the street. I like their classic açaí bowls a lot (love the amount of almond butter they'll add on for free!) and was excited to try the ube sorbet but was confused as to why they call it a purple Japanese yam, since ube is indigenous to the Philippines, "ube" is a Tagalog name, and it's a beloved flavor iconic of the nation. I think this is a pretty silly mistake given it's Filipino American History Month and neighboring Eagle Rock has a notably large Filipino community. Hope they update their info, especially considering the history of Japanese occupation of the Philippines. I know it's a relatively minor detail but this history matters! read more

Tables outside are available for enjoying your special treat as they do melt quickly and not ideal to transport. Parking can be tough but there is a lot around the corner that always has available parking that is metered. Snacks and other canned/ bottle drinks are available for purchase but we only go for the bowls or smoothies. The staff is generally all pretty friendly and helpful, I've come across one gentleman that didn't seem to be having a good day but that didn't affect us. I love Berry Bowl and so do my two kids. Their options are fresh and delicious. My only complaint is that sometimes, they are understaffed and the line can be very long to just order and then you also have to wait till receive your order.
