This place is really cozy and heartwarming. I walked in around 10pm and got a pandan crepe with ice cream. The crepe was sooooo good. It comes with almond Flakes on top, which are delicious, but if you're allergic, remember to ask for it without! The man at the counter took my order right away and was super attentive and kind to us the whole time. The best thing we got was the Thai bubble tea slush though--seriously the best boba!! I can't wait to come back here like...every day. They have savory noodle dishes and lots of dessert. It's got a limited seating area, but they're a wonderful, delicious, and charming cafe that's absolutely worth a visit. They're open late, which is awesome!! ----- Update: I love coming here, and I always get the Thai slush boba. I got the pandan toast once and it was Ok, pandan sauce on top was a slightly coconutty/custard-y consistency. I really prefer the crepe!! ------ Update: I still love this place a whole lot! The Lychee slush bubble tea is really great, iced is good too. It's not too sweet. I definitely recommend it for any fruit lovers! read more

So far best Iced Americano I ever had! It had a very strong taste that will definitely wake up the dead.. ( ok maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but you get the point). Wouldn't expect much from a place like this because I have had coffee from popular american coffee houses in Williamsburg (eg. Gimme Coffee) and it did not impress me. Nice friendly place as well as the staffs. Real shame that they opened while the whole building is under construction which cause it to be hidden. BTW They also have desserts! Must try 1. Ovaltine lava shave ice (boyfriend had, I stole it from him somewhat...) uploaded a pic of it, taste better than it looks! 2. Iced Americano 3. Oreo mousse cake!, read more

Tried this place for dessert after having dinner with a friend. The place itself is small and cute - perfect for dessert date with a friend or a small group of friends. The prices on the menu are quite affordable. My friend and I got a medium shaved ice with pudding, lychee jelly, and grass jelly, and the red sauce. If it wasn't for the red sauce, I think we would've enjoyed what we ordered - the red sauce made the entire thing too sweet. When I come back, I'll be sure to order the toast with the pandan sauce! read more

CASH ONLY! 4.5!! Awesome for getting work done, but the food and drinks aren't mind blowing. A cute little thai dessert house and cafe right at the border of Elmhurst and Woodside. So a nice 10-15 minute walk from my place and surprisingly, I'm not here often. The Wi-Fi is great and their food & desserts are interesting. As for the bubble tea, there are only a few that I truly enjoy! -Strawberry Yogurt Slush w/ Tapioca ($4.50) You can only get the slushes in one size (LARGE), which is great for me cause I always end up sharing it with a friend. -Black Sesame Slush w/ Tapioca ($4.50) Super asian I know! But for anyone that enjoys that flavor, it's gotta be one of the best I've had. Has a nice creamy/grainy texture, and it isn't incredibly sweet. What I also really love about this cafe is they have like a lunch special deal where you get a sandwich and a drink for like $6. Service is good. The "baristas" are friendly and they get the job done! read more

Found this place because I was looking for a bathroom (oh, the joys of traveling the boroughs) and figured grabbing some tea wouldn't hurt. It seems to be family owned and operated, which is cool, and my matcha was decent, if not great. I didn't have anything to eat but I would say their stuff is probably worth trying based on the awesome spicy smell permeating the cafe. Little shops like this make me miss my Woodside days! read more

Came here after having dinner at one of the local Thai restaurants around the corner because I was looking for a cafe with desserts. Unfortunately, like many Asian cafes, they only accept cash. So I ended up getting a latte which was good and cheap. It is very cozy and intimate inside with lots of dessert and snack options. They have bubble teas and other espresso drinks as well. I would definitely come back to work in the space. Not sure if they have wifi but seems like it doesn't get too crazy at night. They're open late which is a good thing. read more

My favorite thing here is the banana and chocolate boba. I think the best thing about the boba here is that they have various flavors and the balls are satisfyingly chewy. They sell food as well as other desserts which I haven't tried yet. read more

The Thai Iced Tea here is perfect. I had to knock down a star due to a previous visit where they wouldn't let me order one at 10:54PM when they clearly close at 11:00PM. I've worked at retail before and I understand that they want to leave and call it a night, but making one to satisfy your customer won't take more than 5 minutes of your time ... Also the Ovaltine shaved ice is good if you're craving something sweet! read more

Food is great taste, small restaurant but nice staff. I love the dessert and coffee. I ll come back again.

Ordered take out on 3/27/19. The woman on the counter seemed friendly at first but was actually very unfriendly and not at all inviting. My cousin was the first one to order, I don't remember what it was but it was sold out, the woman on the counter answered very short, unfriendly, and aggressive "No more. Sold out." Then I ordered the Strawberry, Banana, & Nutella crepes with a scoop of ice cream. I had initially asked them if they are able to remove the strawberry, she assured me that she can. Then I asked if they had green tea ice cream, she answered the same way very short, unfriendly, and in a very aggressive way. "No green tea. Only vanilla." I said okay vanilla it is, then I ordered the taro milk tea no bubble. She confirmed with me 3 times that I wanted no bubble. As we were driving, we found out that there were strawberries in the crepes and bubble in the milk tea. Love this place as it is a great spot for sweets and snacks~ do not recommend going there when the woman is at the counter. I usually don't write bad reviews for incorrect orders, but she made the experience very unpleasant. read more

After dinner, friends and I were looking for a place to have dessert while doing some research. We found Tea Cup Cafe only a few blocks away. Upon arrival, i noticed it was almost like an open air cafe. Luckily, it was the end of summer and it wasn't too cold at all. I saw the pandan custard toast and I knew I had to order. I made the right choice. Super delicious bite after dipping every time! read more

The staff is so nice. I think the owner greeted us and told us they don't have a menu but that they can accommodate. I had the shaved ice; it already came with all the toppings and it was only $5.50! I didn't like that it wasn't like the milky shaved ice and could use more condensed milk but great for the price. I wished I didn't eat hotpot before this because I really wanted to try the Thai noodle soups and the pandan and thai ice tea crepe. Overall, super affordable and I would come back to try their other food. read more

I have been eating there since their noodle soup was $7.50. Their noodle soup is really good and the price is not bad. But what really bad is the customer service of the waiter guy and the short girl who work in the kitchen. My girlfriend and I went there for dinner tonight and we took the seat all the way at the corner because the weather is 30*C. Then that waiter guy asked us to move to another table near the exit because he has to open basement. Although it is not in our way, we moved to that table. The seat is really cold because there is a gap between the slide door and it's is so close to my seat. So we moved to another table up. Then he said we can't sit there cuz it's for 4 people. So I told him, the seat near the exit is really cold and also 4 people can sit there, too. Then he changed his reason to COVID, that is why the middle table cannot be occupied. (If you have been there, you will know how they lay out the table and seat) 2 set of tables for 2 people and 3 sets of tables for 4 people. He already fold up one set for 2 people to open basement and the other one has customers. There are only two customers including us in the restaurant and he is making a big deal and complicated. So we ate our noodle soup in that cold seat with our puffy jacket on. While we were eating, customers were going in and out ordering to-go at the counter. After having the noodle soup, my girlfriend want to order Crispy Fish Ball to-go. At that moment, the super genius waiter guy is not in the store. So she went to the counter as usual to order. Then that short girl in the kitchen told her that the order has to go through that waiter guy. My girlfriend said she want to pay separately and we were here yesterday and ordered just like that and so does the other. The girl kept repeating that which pissed my girlfriend off. So we end up not ordering Crispy Fish Ball. My point is if they gonna do every order through the waiter, then apply to every customer. I wonder are they just doing that to non-Thai customers? But that waiter guy really really pissed me off with his stupid reason. We gave him tip although he didn't deserve it and decided not to go back there ever again. read more

The name doesn't do it justice. The menu is out of this world. If I could've ordered everything I would've. My table ordered two entrées which turned out to be very delicious and left me wanting more because my taste buds had been awakened. The staff was very nice. If I lived here I would be at this place every single day. This restaurant deserves every star I gave it. I highly recommended it. I will definitely be back. read more

Stumbled upon this little hidden cafe when deciding what to eat for a quick bite. It's a small restaurant but not too busy at once so I didn't experience any wait time to get seated. You order and pay at the counter. Pick a seat and your food will be brought out to you. We ordered the regular sized tom yum noodle soup and pork intestine soup with a side of rice. I got mild spice for tom yum and was sweating bullets by the time I finished my bowl which was not that large. If you don't handle tangy spice well, opt for the pork noodle soup or pork intestine soup which are also great choices. The soup base alone will not disappoint. If you eat like you've been starved for days, go with the large size unless you wish to leave room for dessert. The toast with pandan is so good! It's comparable to dipping warm buttery toast into condensed milk mixed with matcha. I am definitely coming back to try their crepes and shaved ice bowls! read more

For the longest time this place was covered in scaffolding and I had no idea what it was called. Otherwise I'd have reviewed it way earlier! Especially now that the scaffolding is long gone, this place is super cute. Frequented by locals, including myself, Tea Cup Cafe has a wide variety of sweets with which to get your sugar fix, including cakes, cupcakes, brownies, crepes, ice creams, and more. I forget what it's called, but the special drink with red bean, tapioca bubbles, and whipped cream is soooooo good. The coffee's tasty, too. Throughout the winter my boyfriend and I would stop in here regularly for the literal and figurative warmth of the toasty interior and friendly staff. Today I walked by and saw a bunch of kids hanging out in front with a guitar basking in the spring weather. Basically it's the happiest place in town no matter when you go, and you do owe it to yourself to go. read more

Very cheap! $3 for good bubble tea! They have a stamp card, 10th one is free! The rose pineapple is great! Their passionfruit green tea is also great! Their milk teas are okay, they taste a bit powdery sometimes. Their green teas are amazing though! Get beverages with out milk here, because they aren't as great. Sometimes they come out good, sometimes they don't. Amazing milk teas are at Quicklys! sorry! This place is very cozy and they have good service. read more

I enjoyed my time at the tea cup cafe. After wandering past the train station, I saw a small corner store with stacks of homemade Thai meals all under $10. I have to come back and try these. This place is good to grab a few drinks like coffee and frappes. However, one of the workers here greeted us rudely, telling me to either buy something asap or leave. Not recommended if you're looking for a good customer service at place to eat. read more

I've tried this place after a big meal at Ayada couple months ago. My friend and i thought that some dessert would be nice which we were right. We ordered toasted bread with custard, thai tea with bubble and green tea crepe cake. They all taste good. I agreed with Marian C that they should get rid of those cup noodle and at lot more things to make the place look cleaner So after my meal again at Ayada 2 days ago, I went to Tea Cup, thinking I should get some cake home. Walked in ,looked at the fridge and didnt find what I want. I decided not to get anything, but the thing is that while im on my way out I saw A DOG siting on the chair! A Pomeranian i believe. The guy who greet me which I dont know if he 's the owner or not were sitting at that table with one lady. If he 's the owner, he should know that dog shouldn't be allow in this place. I like your cake Tea cup but if you guys let dog inside like this, I rather go somewhere else. read more

Well, We came here for Coffee after having brunch across the street. They unfortunately didn't serve hot coffee there so we ended up here. Was surprise to see the group of people having brunch at the same place having coffee here too....The Steam/Buffet place should include hot coffee & hot tea on their menu so their customers are "captured) not end up going across the street for a coffee fix. It's also good for business. I am not a coffee drinker so I ended up having Hot Thai Tea. My sister as usual, her coffee. We also had the rice cakes we bought at the Thai grocery to go with it. Looking around, I noticed that they serve Bubble Tea, really appetizing looking cakes, desserts & crepes. I love crepes but too full to order. Maybe on my next visit. A cozy place to have that sugar fix. Will definitely go back!!! read more

Tea Cup Cafe is adorable from the name of the store, to the nice Thai girls manning this cafe. It's located on a quiet and mostly residential neighborhood in Jackson Heights, but there are a handful of Thai restaurants within the area, and I assume a lot of business also comes from Elmhurst Hospital which is nearby as well. I stopped by one hot afternoon and tried their iced ovaltine drink which wasn't too impressive. I mean once you've had Kung Fu Tea's version, nothing else compares. However, to their credit, they do have a lot of other hot and cold drinks on the menu, as well as a table full of pre-packaged, ready to-go food items both sweet & savory. They all seemed pretty delicious and most comes with rice. The setting is really nice and airy and overall this cafe is a nice addition to the area. read more

The staff here are always friendly and energetic. A couple of my friends and I would come here when we are bored of other bubble tea places or when we just need a sweet fix. A few things that we ordered over the time, which never failed us: Passion fruit Tea with bubble, Mango with milk, Banana Chocolate with bubble, and Mix fruit crepe. Whenever we order crepes to go though, they always serve us in plates for dine in. They also offer the "Buy 10 Bubble Tea Get 1 Free" Stamp at the counter. read more

One of the best thai iced teas I've had! And the best part is, you can choose to have it with tapioca! I gulped down two servings in 10 mins. I would go back here if ever I'm the neighborhood again and try out more items in their menu. read more

UPDATE: I'm slowly trying as many things that seem appetizing to me here... --MILK TEA: possibly the BEST MILK TEA I've ever had. FRESH, actually tastes LIKE TEA, and the RIGHT AMOUNT OF SWEETNESS..definitely a GOOD BALANCE btw milk and tea. --GREEN TEA: TOO FRAGRANT for my liking; flowery powder-y aftertaste; way TOO SWEET --TURTLE BROWNIE: surprisingly delicious if you like light to medium fluffy brownies w/o a crisp surface. It had a slight peanut buttery taste. For only $1, it's a nice quick treat. read more

Best coffee within a mile radius. Latte is by far the best around the area. Cozy and comfortable interior ;)

This is a neighborhood coffee shop that's decidedly Asian (you're in a predominantly Asian neighborhood, that's why). I guess most of us who show up here (or those who are familiar with the place) can be from the Philippines, Indonesian, Thailand, Malaysian, China, Vietnam, and other countries near to those earlier mentioned places. I like their bathroom --- it's clean even in the evening. I can imagine ladies are mostly the ones running, operating this business, as I can see the kind of tidiness that I only see in places like this. It has that soft, cool type of ambiance. Customers next to you aren't noisy (as they seemed to me). Prices are OK (I usually would have coffee here). Good spot, too, for small business meetings. It's a tiny, unassuming place but you can find space here when you get the chance. read more

For $8.50 I got myself a banana strawberry Nutella crepe and medium mango green tea with lychee. $8.50 is a pretty good price for what I got, and the food tastes pretty good even though the crepe can be made much better (a little too sweet for my taste). The proportion for the crepe is pretty big. The bubble tea is like what they say... pretty amazing here. They are also very nice. read more
